The Cadillac SRX is a  distinctive luxury crossover that serves up equal doses of refinement and exhilaration. From its bold exterior design to the subtle elegance and style to the heated and ventilated seats, the SRX is pure Cadillac.  Alas after waiting all my life to get my first Cadillac,  all be it an older one, now I must let it go.

So I'm offering my 2004 Cadillac SRX Sport Utility, 4 DR 3.6L DOHC, 5 Speed to the highest bidder.  For those of you who have driven a Cadillac, you are familiar with the comfort and road worthiness that you can expect from a car like this.  Those who haven't yet had that pleasure have missed out.

Options include Tilt Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, and Power Door Locks, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry, Duel Climate Control, Leather Seats, AM/FM Radio w /cd Player, Satellite Radio, OnStar, and 3rd Row Seating.

Safety Features include, Anti Theft, Back Up Warning, and both Driver and Passenger Airbags.

This car dives and rides beautifully both in town and on the highway.  It provides that big car comfort in a car that is not really that big.  But with its rack and pinion steering, front and rear disc brakes, independent front and rear suspension, and front and rear coil springs, it is a dream to drive.

The SRX is an extremely versatile vehicle with its ability to provide seating for 5 with some cargo space; or with the 3rd row seat up, 7 with a little cargo space; or by dropping the back seat,  2 with lots of cargo space.

There is nothing prettier than a black car (when it's clean), as you can see from the pictures of this 2004 Cadillac SRX.  It looks brand new.

Of course it's not.  And if you get up close you will see many tiny rock chips on the front, hood, and on the side mirrors,  Aside from that the paint is in pretty good shape.  The upholstery  is also good except for the drivers seat which show wear from use, but no rips or tears. Lots of life left.

The tires are Bridgestone with a 65,000 Mile Limited Warranty.  They have 17,652 Miles on them now.

Cadillac V-Series Academy comes to Las Vegas [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

General Motors has added another high-speed education course to the curriculum at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The desert track already hosts the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School with Chevrolet Corvettes, including the ZR1, and they've just added the Cadillac V-Series Academy.
Open now, the one- and two-day performance driving school teaches "the finer points of high performance driving" using the 556-horspower instructional aids known as the CTS-V sedan, coupe and wagon. This is different than than using the CTS-V at the Monticello Motor Club on the east coast - that's part of a sponsorship deal that Cadillac has with the track. The driving course at the Motorsports Ranch is its own program that was developed by Fellows, and we have no reason to think the Cadillac edition won't be just as thorough and enjoyable as the one with Corvettes.
Unlike the 'Vette edition, however, it doesn't appear that you get an invitation to the program if you buy a CTS-V model. Classes are capped at 12 participants and run $1,295 for a single day, $2,295 for two days. There are a video and a press release below with more info.

2022 GMC Hummer EV No. 001 at Barrett-Jackson brings $2.5 million

Mon, Mar 29 2021

This year's Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., played host to a bunch of the first examples of hot new cars: VIN No. 001 of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV, 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing, 2021 Ford Bronco, 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. Every single one of them sold for more than six figures, with all the proceeds of nearly $5 million going to charities, but the big winner was absolutely the Hummer with a hammer price of $2.5 million. The Bronco did nicely, too, with a selling price of $1,075,000. You can see the list of the sale prices from highest to lowest of these first examples below. GMC Hummer EV: $2,500,000 Ford Bronco: $1,075,000 Ford Mustang Mach 1: $500,000 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition: $410,000 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: $265,000 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing: $165,000 Despite the Hummer going for $2.5 million, it wasn't the most expensive car to cross the block. That honor goes to a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake that was once owned by Carroll Shelby himself. It sold for $5.5 million, the same price it sold for back in 2007. Nearly as pricey as the Hummer was a restored, numbers-matching 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 that went for $2,475,000. Related video:

Cadillac imagines the future of luxury transportation with a drone and a pod

Tue, Jan 12 2021

Besides more screens and electric cars, GM and Cadillac made sure to pay tribute to the other darlings of the tech industry: autonomous cars and drones. Both concepts take familiar ideas but add a touch of Cadillac flavor. And don't expect either of them to show up in reality anytime soon. The most fanciful of the two is the Cadillac VTOL concept, which stands for vertical takeoff and landing. It's a fully autonomous drone meant for shuttling people, likely wealthy executives, from rooftop to rooftop in busy cities. It's a single-occupant aircraft with a 90-kWh battery pack and is fully autonomous. It has four sets of two rotors that propel the drone to a top speed of 56 mph. The exterior is unique in having the front and rear sets of rotors at different heights, whereas most seem to have the cabin hanging from the rotors. You can spot some Cadillac cues in the beveled, angled edges. The other concept is the Personal Autonomous Vehicle or PAV. It's a fairly generic-looking autonomous pod with a pastiche of Cadillac design cues such as slim lights and angular trimmings. Cadillac says it's meant to be a social space, hence the wraparound bench seats in the cabin. Cadillac doesn't seem to have forgotten personal comfort, though, as you can spot a single-person recliner. Comfort is key, and Cadillac says the PAV would have biometric sensors to read the passengers and adjust the climate control, humidity, lighting and scents to make the the environment as pleasant as possible. Passengers will have control of vehicle functions via voice and gestures. At the end of theses vehicles' reveals, Cadillac teased more far-flung concepts coming soon. One of them will be a two-seat vehicle and mentioned that it would be for "you and someone very special" for more "intimate" trips. Related Video:
