Beautiful 1981 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham for bid. I am the third owner. The second owner had possession of this Cadillac for approximately 31 years. It was sold new in Cleburne, Texas, and has always been a dry, North Texas car. Upon my purchase, I received all available service records since 1982 as well as the original window sticker. The 368 V864 digital fuel injected engine is solid and tight. The transmission shifts through all gears smoothly. The suspension and brakes feel great and the car drives beautifully. This car has been largely idle for approximately 5 years. The car does have a brand new battery however, please note that it will run down after a couple of days if it is not disconnected. All four tires match, are like new and have only a few hundred miles on them. The a/c compressor turns on, is very smooth and quiet, but will need additional freon added as it cycles very quickly. The heater, power windows, power seats, power door locks, automatic trunk pull-down and AM-FM-CB radio all work. It has the original Seaspray Green paint with white top and Dark Jadestone Heather knit interior, all of which is in very good condition commensurate with the age of the car. The right-rear body side molding came loose however, it is in the trunk and available for reattachment. The original locking spoke hubcaps with removal tool come with the car. The radio antenna does not work, but is presently in the up position. The car will be sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. I have tried to describe this car as honestly and best I know how. Please ask me ANY questions before close of the bid for which I will be glad to answer as best I possibly can. I would be happy for anyone to inspect the car by appointment if they wish. The car will be released after all certified bank funds or wire transfers have successfully cleared. 2023 was a healthy year for the auto industry, and even with incentives returning and dealer lots filling up, there's plenty to like about the market if you build luxury automobiles, and we expect 2024 to be more of the same, which makes luxury-segment rivalries all the more interesting. Top luxury car brand rivalries? Well, that sounds downright uncivilized. But we know better, don't we? And when every quarterly sales update is an opportunity to remind somebody else that they bought the wrong status symbol, well, who can resist? The Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and McLarens of the world are luxury cars, certainly, but we're more concerned with brands that have a bit more mass appeal — manufacturers who treat supply constraints as fiascos rather than features.
