IT’S A TWO-OWNER SUV THAT SIMPLY WENT UP AND DOWN THE HIGHWAY FOR SIX YEARS, WHICH IS THE BEST KIND OF MILEAGE YOU CAN PUT ON AN SUV. STRONG SERVICE HISTORY AS WELL. THIS ESCALADE WAS NOT A LOCAL KIDMOBILE GOING TO THE MALL GETTING DOOR DINGS, BUMPER GOUGES, PEPSI’S EXPLODED INTO THE HEADLINER OR HAMBURGERS SHOVED DOWN THE SIDES OF THE SEATS. NEEDS NOTHING EXCEPT A NEW OWNER. HARD LOADED WITH GREAT OPTIONS AND ZERO ISSUES. GARAGE KEPT (IT FITS, BUT JUST BARELY). THIS IS AS CLOSE TO NEW AS YOU’LL FIND. -- Here she is in all her glory -- THIS ESCALADE ESV IS THE PERFECT TRUCK FOR GOING ON A ROADTRIP WITH THE KIDS, DRIVING IN BAD WEATHER, AND MOVING THROUGH THE DARKEST OF NIGHTS. THIS IS A TRUCK THAT WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN AND IS BUILT TO LAST. ORIGINAL MSRP OF OVER $70,000! THE GORGEOUS CONDITION AND LOW PRICE MAKE IT THE BEST DEAL ON EBAY. I DON’T CARE HOW NICE OR HOW LOW MILEAGE THE OTHER ESCALADES ARE THAT YOU’RE CONSIDERING….THIS ONE IS NICER. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV AWD Autoride in champagne/silver metallic with black leather interior. It has 105,xxx original certified miles, has been serviced properly and regularly, and has a clean title with no issues. This is a TWO OWNER Escalade! This truck has NEVER had any bodywork and has NEVER been in any accidents. It’s all original. -- -- Exterior 9.75 out of 10 – Nearly new condition paint, body, and trim. No dings, scuffs, or scratches. This Escalade looks amazing, with a deep glossy shine to the metallic paint. It looks great even under florescent light in a garage. Please keep in mind you are viewing this truck without any sort of detailing...just a hand-wash, vacuum, and wipe down in my garage. No polish, no wax, no carpet shampoo, no leather conditioning, NOTHING (yet)! -- -- Lower side-body moldings, wheel wells, and engine bay are clean and tidy. Looks like a new car from any angle. Rubber, chrome, trim, glass, alloy wheels are in excellent condition. No oxidation, fade, or wear. -- -- The body panels are perfectly straight. -- -- Every area on the truck is clean; the inner edges and undersides of the hood, the doorjambs, the INSIDES of the hood and trunk, the inner front edges of the doors, everywhere. All the usual areas that, over time, get discolored, accumulate leaves and dirt, and even on low mileage SUV’s are dirty, are spotless and in mint condition on this truck....before detailing! -- -- This Escalade wears Cadillac OEM triple-chromed 22” wheels. There is mild curb rash to one of the wheels. The tires are pretty much worn out. But at the BIN price I will include a set of matching Bridgestone Dueler M&S 285/45/22 all-season tires that have about 60% tread remaining. -- -- Interior 9.75 out of 10 - The interior including seating and door leather, headliner, seat padding, dash, console, and carpets are in great overall condition. No cracks or rips, and almost zero wear or creases on the leather anywhere. The seats look and feel new. Everything is and spotless. You can’t even tell that anyone has been inside the truck! -- -- The door panels and trim are also in near-new condition, like the rest of the car. -- -- More of the great interior -- -- Even the hatch is like new. -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors, seat memories, heaters, rear defogger, moonroof, and power mirrors work perfectly. LIKE NEW! -- -- The HVAC system is fast to respond, and both front and rear A/C are icy cold while the heat is scalding hot. -- -- I don’t think the rear captain’s chairs were even used! -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth and glides perfectly into the gears. This SUV runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks of any kind. -- -- This Escalade ESV is equipped with the Autoride self-leveling option, all-wheel drive, traction control, stability control, parking sensors, three rows of seats, second row captain’s chairs, stereo system with DVD navigation, XM satellite radio, rear integrated subwoofer, heated AND cooled front seats, heated rear seats AND steering wheel, rear seat radio controls with headphone jacks, puddle lights, factory running boards, and much more. -- -- Other equipment include in-dash DVD changer, rear backup camera, TWO ceiling mount LCD displays for the DVD changer (watch two different movies at the same time!), DVD navigation, bi-xenon headlights, remote start, a monstrously powerful 403HP V8 engine, and a lot more. -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to surge forward at any RPM to move you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, steering nicely weighted with no play in the box, and alignment (including thrust angle for steering wheel centering) perfect. ZERO leaks or noises. This Escalade drives and handles like new, and has never been off-road. -- -- Just had a 100K mile fluid/filter service and engine oil. Also has new wiper blades all around, chassis lube points greased, and more for over $500. This was all preventative routine maintenance…there was nothing wrong with this truck whatsoever! It has a working remote with key, spare key, all books, nav DVD, DVD entertainment system remote, and more. -- -- With ‘only’ 105K miles, it does not have any problems on the road. Ready to roll for its new owner. Fully inspected with everything in fantastic condition. - -- If someone selects the buy-it-now option, I will include the following; the good set of Bridgestone 285/45/22 all-season tires mounted and balanced. A full detail including engine bay, hatch, and carpet shampoo worth $200. I’ll include a complete set of floor mats, and I'll also include ToughGuard paint protectant. This stuff is simply amazing for durability, as it will last up to five YEARS. Dealers charge up to $695 for this stuff. That’s well over $1500 worth of stuff! -- -- Nits: Basically nothing. How a 105K mile SUV can have zero issues or problems is beyond me. But I'm telling you, the first person to see or drive this Escalade will buy it……it’s ridiculously nice. -- -- I have great feedback, and sold many Audis, Acuras, and Benzes that the new owners are thrilled with. They and others have offered to act as references to verify that I am honest in my descriptions of the cars I sell, and you are welcome to contact them. -- THIS IS A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME CAR, AND IT'S AN UNBELIEVABLE DEAL!!

Ah, technology – the beautiful date that impresses all your friends but costs you a fortune to keep happy, up-to-date, and working. Automotive News puts some numbers to the economic toll we're paying to jockey this technological Trojan horse, an analysis it sums up with "Technology is great - until you have to replace it." Back in 2000, for instance, you could replace a Cadillac Escalade taillight lens for $56.08, or replace the entire unit for $220.49. Crack the rear lens on your 2015 Escalade and you have to buy a new unit for $795 - there's no such thing as just replacing a lens anymore. What about headlights? It was $210 for an Escalade headlight in 2000, it's $1,650 for the current unit (pictured). This is nothing we didn't know, these are just hard numbers to demonstrate it. Edmunds recently provided the same with its sledgehammer-bashing of the 2015 Ford F-150, Tesla Model S buyers have been shrieking about repair costs to their electric sedan's all-aluminum bodywork, and used-car sites are full of articles about which expensive-to-repair features to steer clear of if you want to avoid big repair bills. Those expensive bits increase the price of a car - Kelley Blue Book says the average price of a car is now more than $33,000 - and that raises rates for repairs and insurance. This comes in spite of some carmakers that have been collaborating with insurance companies and repair shops at the design stage in order to engineer parts that are easier and less expensive to replace. But the tech can have its cost-saving benefits: a 2011 study by the Highway Loss Data Institute found that Volvos fitted with that company's City Safety feature "filed 27 percent fewer property-damage liability claims" than luxury SUVs without it, and just last month the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety called adaptive headlights one of the top four crash-preventing technologies on cars today (after coming out against them in 2006). So yes, the technology costs a mint when it needs to be fixed - but being able to avoid an accident in the first place might make it worth it. Charlie Wilson had been the president and CEO of General Motors before being nominated to become secretary of defense by Dwight Eisenhower. During his Senate confirmation hearings, he controversially said, "For years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors, and vice versa." And he was right. While car companies aren't necessarily the most progressive when it comes to things that might have the slightest possibility of political blowback, General Motors should be credited for doing something absolutely forthright in this regard with its announcement that it wants the federal U.S. government not to squash the California Air Resources Board's emissions requirements but to actually create a 50-state "National Zero Emissions Vehicle" program that, in the words of Mark Reuss, executive vice president and president, Global Product Group and Cadillac, "will drive the scale and infrastructure investments needed to allow the U.S. to lead the way to a zero emission future." Filing comments to the Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient Vehicles Rule for Model Years 2021-2026 Passenger Cars and Light Trucks is one thing. But a graphic the company developed for this announcement — shown above — is something else entirely, something that is absolutely credible, creative and clever. There is a photo of a Chevrolet Bolt EV driving along a highway, which seems to be in Marin County (based on the blurred San Francisco skyline in the background). Text on the photo states: "It's Time for American Leadership in Zero Emissions Vehicles." It seems to say, in effect, "If we want to make America great again, then we're going to do it by leading in technology, not by retreating behind weakened regulations." General Motors understands that the auto market is globally competitive, and if U.S.-based companies are going to be in the game, then they'd better be able to out-innovate the companies based elsewhere, where emissions and economy standards are not being weakened. What's good for our country ... Related Video:

Your author has already seen it, back in March, and has had to wait until today to show you the new Cadillac Lyriq electric luxury crossover. We were excited about it then, we're still excited about it now, but we'll see if we can maintain that excitement for another two years. After some fanfare, a delay, a name explanation and a bit of teasing, Cadillac has finally taken the wraps off the Lyriq, and we like what we see. The bad news — weÂ’ll get it out of the way right now — is that the Cadillac Lyriq wonÂ’t go on sale until late 2022. Moving on, letÂ’s bask in the photos and video weÂ’ve long awaited, and dig into what we know about the first all-electric Cadillac. First, it will come in two drivetrain configurations: rear-wheel drive and performance all-wheel drive. ItÂ’ll use GMÂ’s new Ultium modular battery technology, giving it a driving range targeting north of 300 miles, plus a center of gravity about 3.9 inches lower than that of the similarly sized Cadillac XT5. It will be capable of "over" 150-kilowatt DC fast charging, with a Level 2 charging rate of up to 19 kW. Cadillac Lyriq View 8 Photos In terms of styling, the Lyriq is a substantial move forward both inside and out — and a lot of it has to do with lighting. On the outside, it gets vertical headlights, plus a bunch of little light-up elements in the grille, include a logo that is animated on startup. In fact, the face will light up as you approach, not unlike a dog seeing its best friend ready to play. We see some more nifty lighting signatures in back that carry on a similar theme with more vertical lights. Inside, the lighting situation gets even more interesting, with another light-up crest on the steering wheel, plus wood veneer over aluminum door panels, all backlit. As for its stance, the Lyriq has a long wheelbase, and rides on 22-inch wheels. At the back, we see a slick vented spoiler hanging over the raked rear glass. The side doors of the Lyriq automatically open with the touch of a button in door handle outlines that are flush with the body. Similarly, they close automatically, slowing down at the end to pull the doors fully shut. We wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't make it to production. Moving around the interior, the curved, 33-inch combination digital driver display and infotainment screen sprawls across the dash. It uses advanced LED technology, and is capable of displaying over a billion colors, according to Cadillac.
