Up for sale is my Gorgeous 1999 Cadillac ESC, in diamond white. This car has been  babied pampered and maintained throughout its 12 year span, as I bought the car over two years ago from a dealer who I have known for over 20 years and this was his personal drive.  I bought this car for almost $5,000, and I hate to see it go but I have been relocated to another  area of the  state and the company will provide me with a brand new hybrid vehicle so my loss is your gain.    Over 25k ago the engine was rebuilt from the inside out by a local Cadillac Guru who specializes in all the mechanical rebuilds of the North Star Engine.  Summarily the car runs and drives as new and to all specifications.  The engine and transmission run great and leak nothing, and when you look at the engine compartment it looks like a factory showroom car!  The suspension is excellent, and the braking system was recently overhauled.  The heating and cooling system works amazing, but the cold level on the ac should be getting a new recharge soon to make it ultra cold.  All the electronics work as do all the windows, power seat functions,  wipers, twilight sentinel,  fog lights,  and headlights, and the car looks and feels like a new vehicle.  The rubber on the car is good for 50% more tread life and the car sports the 5 star Cadillac Rims that are in excellent shape.  The car is turn key and can travel anywhere in the USA.  There have been many new parts placed in this vehicle over the years, like a new starter, alternator, battery, and brakes, and a complete major tuneup done 12k ago,  and the car is an excellent example of the beauty of the Eldorado design in excellent mechanical functionability.  It is offered  here at a no reserve auction for a fraction of its original sticker price of over $40,000.  This is a no reserve auction and I reserve the right to sell locally at any time, and if you have less than 5 positive feedbacks you must email me or your bid will be cancelled.  The car is sold as is where is with no warranty, but please call or text me if you have any questions regarding this magnificent vehicle, at 516-473-8399.

Cadillac ELR update delayed over autonomous drive systems issues

Fri, Nov 28 2014

Rumors had been circulating that the 2016 Cadillac ELR would bow in Los Angeles recently, featuring, in Cadillac's own words, "engineering enhancements." The rumors and that quote are as far as it got – the updated ELR pulled a no-show in LA, and no one outside of the brand appears to know when it will appear. GM Inside News says its sources at Cadillac pinned the ELR's absence on some autonomous driving features not being ready to reveal. According to GMI, Cadillac insiders say the upgraded ELR will be a "highly autonomous vehicle," and the company needs more time to gets its systems polished. The site says "it's not unreasonable to assume that ELR will be [the] vehicle" that gets Cadillac's Super Cruise technology, but that seems a lot more involved than "engineering enhancements," and in September Cadillac said we'd see it sometime in the next two years. It's possible the wait for the 2016 ELR and its secrets might only be a couple of months: the next-generation Chevrolet Volt, which shares a platform with the ELR and whose engineering updates we know quite a bit about, is scheduled to appear at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. 2020 Chevy Tahoe High Country spied along with next-gen Escalade

Fri, Jun 7 2019

Have no fear, the big grilles are here. Or, at least we think they're coming. One of our spy shooters caught the next-gen Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade out testing with more of their fronts ends exposed than before. Starting with the Tahoe, we can see what amounts to a blinding amount of chrome under the wrappings. We're guessing this would be a new Tahoe High Country trim level, mirroring the range-topping trim level currently offered on the Silverado and Traverse. The Tahoe's current range topper is the Premier. Although the rather ornate details in the grille are not found on the current High Country trims, they also seem like something that would be available on the priciest Tahoe available. The same could be said of the LED lighting details visible under the camo as the Silverado High Country, shown below, does indeed have unique LED elements. The next-generation Cadillac Escalade only shows up in two of the photos. As we can't see shiny chrome reflecting through the camo, we're guessing the Escalade will adopt a blacked out grille similar those found on the XT6 and other Cadillacs. We can also see horizontal lighting elements similar to those on other recent Cadillacs. As this is an Escalade, however, we'd imagine everything will be supersized. GM will be ushering these trucks out soon, with the independent rear suspension being the big story. Besides the improved ride and handling, it should result in substantially improved cargo space and third-row legroom. Doing so would at least close the gap with the biggest Lincoln and Ford SUVs.
