1980 Cadillac Eldorado

96905 Miles

This Cadillac was purchased from the man who claimed to be the original owner. I have seen no evidence to dispute this claim, he was about 95! This car was purchased for a photo shoot and to be displayed at a the route 66 fun run annual event in Kingman Arizona. It was garage stored its whole life in Burbank California and has a clean California title. The California tags are good until July 2014.

The photos of this car really speak for them selves. It is in amazing condition for its age. It has many rare options that make this car a great collector item. It has a fuel injected 350 5.7 V8 that was only available on Eldorado's from Califonia in 1980. It also has the power glass astro roof that is also one of the more rare option. The Eldorado has electronic climate control and the optional exterior mirror with temperature dial. The AC is working! The AC has been upgraded to a 134A system and blows cold. It has dual power leather seats with the optional reclining passenger seat, however not all of the passenger power functions are currently working. The motor goes but the seat does not move. It also has Tilt and telescopic steering wheel, auto trunk release, power windows, and dual power mirrors. The stereo is equipped with the optional cassette tape deck.

The original owner took very good care of this car. It was garage stored and has no sun damage to the leather, dash, or carpeting of the interior. The vinyl roof is in good shape for its age with no rips. It has some light cracking but nothing major. The paint is in great shape. It was repainted at some point in its life. Fortunately it was done with a base coat clear coat so it is a good quality paint job. That being said, I have seen a spot of a clear coat run. This could be buffed out. All the famous Cadillac bumper fillers are there. The front are 100% there and only have minor ware. One corner seems to have a crack but seems to be doing just fine. The rear corners are all intact, the ones below the trunk lip look as though there from a different car and have been painted to match. with the trunk closed it is almost unnoticeable. Once open you can see where the original bumper fillers are.

The leather seats are in great shape! again it is 35 year old car so it seems that in the cars past a repair was done by the crests on the leather seats. It doesn't appear to be a high quality repair, yet seems to look fine 3 feet away. The dash has no cracks. There are four matching floor mats. The rear seat looks new. the head liner is in amazing shape! The sun visors are in the trunk? it seems like they stopped holding them selves up so they were removed and put in the trunk. There is a split in the vinyl on the passenger door. It looks as if it was glued back together.

 PLEASE NOTE:

A bid is a commitment to buy, not a conditional offer. If you bid and win, the car is yours! Any non paying bidders will be turned over to E bay.

A $500 Deposit is required via money transfer or pay pal within 24 hours of auction close. NO exceptions.

Pick up is with in 1 week of action close. unless previously discussed. After one week there will a daily charge for storage and insurance.

I have described the car to the best of my abilities. However it is a used car. All inspection must be done prior to auction end.

Best of luck! She is a great car!

Hotter Cadillac CT4-V prototype spied testing at GM's Proving Grounds

Thu, Jun 27 2019

Cadillac already teased us once with the hotter CT4-V and CT5-V at the Belle Isle Grand Prix, but these photos are still the best look yet at what's next for the Cadillac V-Series. The car we're looking at in heavy camouflage here is a high-performance CT4, but we don't really have a name to call it at this point. Cadillac hasn't said, so it could be anything. We'll just refer to it as the faster V, as it's certainly looking a bit more racy than the warmed-over CT4-V already revealed. While the styling isn't drastically different from the CT4-V already out there, the front intake and openings look deeper and more aggressive. The middle, raised section of the hood is a little taller and the whole front-end design looks a lot like the one teased in Belle Isle. This vehicle even appears to have the same mirror design as the faster V. The side sills, quad exhaust tips and wide rear tires lend this prototype an aggressive look, but we did note that it doesn't have the big ducktail spoiler we saw teased previously. Maybe Cadillac is trying to keep a low profile while testing. A keen eye will notice a wild apparatus attached to the front, which would serve as a great jousting pole if you were into that kind of thing. We don't know exactly when Cadillac plans to introduce the faster V machines, but we wouldn't doubt if it happened before the year was out. The ATS-V and CTS-V didn't look wholly different than the pedestrian versions of those cars, and this prototype indicates Caddy may follow a similar pattern this time around. All will be explained from GM soon, but for now, we wait.

Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.

2021 Cadillac Escalade Onyx package adds monochrome logos

Fri, May 1 2020

The 2016 Cadillac Escala concept showed off a number of features never seen on a Cadillac, one of them being a redesigned, entirely silver, untextured logo. Cadillac had been putting all-silver versions of its crest on the fenders of some of its vehicles, but those bore patterned silver inserts where the yellow, black, red, and blue would have appeared on the standard mark. The Escala logo, on top of being squatter and wider, displayed silver blanks where the colors went. Cadillac Society has found out a similar treatment is on the way for the 2021 Escalade as part of a new Onyx package. This time, instead of being brightwork, a Cadillac spokesperson told CS the logos are "more grey versus [the] silver/chrome [on the fenders]." And for the first time on a Cadillac on the showroom floor, these monochrome badges will appear on the grille and tailgate. Buyers can add a Sport Edition package to the current Escalade, dressing almost all the brightwork grille in gloss black and bolting on a set of 22-inch Midnight Silver wheels. The Cadillac logos, however, stay in color, and the Escalade lettering stays in chrome. That changes with the Onyx package, those gray monochrome crests joined by Escalade lettering in gloss black, plus 22-inch, 12-spoke wheels in high gloss black, and a similar blackout of all the other brightwork as found on the Sport Edition package. The Sport Edition is only available on three of the eight possible colors; a limited color selection could hold true for the Onyx package as well. Branding could get even more interesting when the crest's animated illumination shows up on the Lyriq electric crossover.  The 2021 Escalade will move to the new forked trim strategy, Premium Luxury on one side, Sport on the other, the Onyx package only available on the Sport side. For shoppers who want to go the other way, we're sure the new Escalade will offer something equivalent to the current Radiant Package that makes any Escalade even more impossible to miss on a sunny day.
