1976 Cadillac Eldorado

Triple White

(The Most Desired Color Combo. Triple White with Red Dash)

Convertible

Hello and Welcome to my auction.  Let’s get to know each other a little.  I am a seller with 100% feedback of honesty and integrity!!!  If you will be bidding on this auction, I will expect you to be the same.  This opportunity is to own one of America’s Finest Classic Convertibles.  The 1976 Triple White Eldorado!!!  With the holidays around the corner, this may be a great opportunity as a gift to a loved one or for you.  If you are looking at this auction, than you already know the most of the specifics about the 1976 Cadillac Eldorado.  I will not bore you, but I will tell you about this vehicle specifically.  Here we go:

1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible VIN # 6 L 6 7 S 6 Q 2 1 0 2 0 0

This Eldo was born at the Detroit, MI General Motors Plant

I purchased this very desirable triple white on red Eldorado from a very nice and honest man in November 2010. The car was in NY and I had it sent down to Orlando, Florida, where we have a vacation home. This Vehicle has gone through a body on re-vamping.  The undercarriage of the car is solid and did not need to be touched.  The body is almost rust free and straight.  It runs and drives as a 65,000 mile Cadillac should.  Important: when I bought the car, it was advertised 65,320 original miles. The previous owner, who I believe, told me it was for real. But I rely don`t know. The odomoter was not working when I got the car, and is not working now. I know I put less than a thousand miles on it, as I only use it during vacation. So let`s say it has probably 66,000 miles.

As you will see from the pictures, the gentleman who owned this car before really took pride in it looking and running great.  But remember: this is an almost 40years old car. There`s always some things to be done.

I am not a mechanic, but I think a lot of things were replaced:

Looks like most of the gaskets on original motor are replaced

Radiator

Exhaust system from crossover back and all header gaskets are new

Power steering system

Alternator

New Battery (this is the only thing I replaced myself)

Cap, rotor, and wires (New Wires are Grey in Color)

Master Cylinder

Wiper Motor

Hood Hinges

New Original A/C Unit All Lines New and System Fitted to R-134A & it works

New Fiberglass Front and Rear Bumper and Fender extensions including all Fillers

All Headlights, Tail Lights, Cornering Lamps, Indicators on top of the fenders all work and function properly.  That’s Awesome!!

All Windows and Convertible top function as they should

Power Bucket Seats Function properly

Cruise Control is fully functional

Light Sentinel

Wipers with Delay

New Leather Interior Seats (Not Vinyl)

Auto trunk closer

New Top Latch

But again, I`m not a mechanic and I only had to change the battery.

Here are some Video Links of the Eldorado:

A couple of the tolerances are off on the car.  One is on the passenger door and one is by the trunk.  It looks like during assembly after painting that they just need to be readjusted.  The body looks great, but the painting is not perfect. You inspect properly and you will find some details of imperfection. All chrome on this car is close to perfect, solid, and shiny.  There is one small area on the front bumper upon inspection that the chrome looks a little imperfect.  Tires are in great shape and probably have 7/8 of their life left.  There are two different brands of tires on the car.  Don’t know why.  The interior is rely beatifull and in great shape.  The seats are white, perfect, new, and leather.  All panels in the car are white and perfect with no cracks.  The dash is perfect with only one small crack hidden when the driver’s door is closed.  The top has a small tear in the passenger side, but weather can’t enter. Still, getting a new one is something that you should consider. The rear window is Glass.  This car does not have the Original Radio and the antenna is not powered.

This car is not a show car, but it is one that you can put in your local shows and I think it may take home a trophy.

You may ask, “Why are you getting rid of the car?”  The previous owner was getting married. I only drive this car during my vacations in Florida which do not take much time anymore.

If you were to buy an Eldorado that needed some work and you did all of these things to it, you would spend probably 10, 15, or even 20 thousand dollars to get it to where this car is today.  The Reserve price is set very reasonably for this Triple White Convertible Eldorado.

Cadillac drops the base engine in the 2017 ATS

Tue, Jun 28 2016

Cadillac, in an effort to boost sales of the slow moving ATS, is making some changes to the 2017 model. Most notably, the luxury manufacturer is dropping the base 2.5-liter normally-aspirated four-cylinder engine from the lineup, leaving the 272 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four as the base engine. The base 2.0-liter ATS will start at $35,590, $1,380 more than the 2016 model, though that's partially offset by more standard equipment. The base model now comes standard with Cadillac's controversial CUE infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, a Bose surround-sound speaker system, and a backup camera. Despite the bump in price for the base model, all other ATS trim levels will see prices reduced between $650 and $1,100, depending on the model. The ATS was designed to be Cadillac's answer to the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Though the ATS was originally released at a time where the Germans were slightly off their game, it's never quite matched up in terms of performance or customer perception posting disappointing sales figures compared to the competition. Cadillac has had problems getting customers into cars, and few ATS customers are converts from luxury competition. In order to offload inventory and lure in new customers, the company has previously been forced to offer big lease deals. Many of these customers have come over from more mainstream brands like Chevrolet and Ford. ATS sales have fallen 23 percent through May versus 2015. The car's market share has fallen every year since 2013, currently occupying just 4.5 percent of the compact luxury market. Unless Cadillac can offer some truly amazing deals, we don't expect many shoppers to buy American over the strong German competition. Related video: Cadillac Luxury Sedan

2020 Cadillac XT4 Review and Buying Guide | Competence and curb appeal

Thu, Aug 8 2019

The 2020 Cadillac XT4 is a handsome little crossover distinctively sized between two segments. This allows it to boast backseat space on par with larger SUVs like the Audi Q5, while being a bit more park-able and fuel efficient like the BMW X1. There should definitely be a Goldilocks "just right" thing going on for many shoppers. Cadillac's baby SUV also impresses on the technology front, boasting loads of standard, advanced features along with a user-friendly touchscreen interface that shouldn't be too hard to figure out. There are dynamic missteps, though. The steering, throttle and brake pedals lack the driver-oriented response and feedback we've come to expect from Cadillac's sharply tuned sport sedans, while also not exactly possessing the nice-and-easy isolation of Caddy's past. In either scenario, we're not sure it "drives like a Cadillac" despite some otherwise impressive engineering going on underneath that handsome skin. The XT4 is also pretty expensive given its features, size and interior quality. Competitors both larger (Acura RDX) and smaller (Volvo XC40) provide better value. Still, as we noted in our XT4 first drive, there's enough novel tech to provide bragging rights, it's obviously a Cadillac in design (and definitely not just a rebadged Chevrolet in execution), and it's a pleasing enough place to sit while scooting around in traffic. It has competence and curb appeal, which count for a lot. What's new for 2020? After being an all-new model last year, the XT4 heads into 2020 with some noteworthy features updates: Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are now standard, while the Premium Luxury trim level gets the hands-free power liftgate as standard equipment.   What's the XT4's interior and in-car technology like? The XT4's interior design isn't as memorable as that of its exterior, nor its stylish Volvo XC40 and Lincoln Corsair competitors. It's a bit generic, which just doesn't seem right for a Cadillac. Materials quality is acceptable when closer to its base price, but begins feeling less so as options are added and the price tag rises. We've also driven multiple XT4's with an annoying rattle in the B pillar. Standard infotainment technology is abundant. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included with the standard 8-inch touchscreen and benefit from a pair of USB ports: one standard USB-A and the other a newer USB-C.

Cadillac will build a Tesla fighter, sources say, as GM's leading EV brand

Fri, Jan 11 2019

WASHINGTON — Cadillac is expected to become General Motors' lead electric vehicle brand as the largest U.S. automaker gears up to introduce a new model under that luxury marquee to challenge Tesla, two people briefed on the matter said Thursday. GM is set to announce Friday as part of an investor update that a Cadillac will be the first vehicle based on its forthcoming "BEV3" platform, the people said. The vehicle platform is the basis for vehicle underpinnings, including the battery system and other structural and mechanical parts. GM is not expected to disclose on Friday additional details, including precisely when the Cadillac EV will be built, whether it will be a crossover or sedan, or where it will be assembled, the sources said. A GM spokesman declined to comment. GM had previously focused on making electric vehicles under its mass market Chevrolet brand, including its plug-in Chevrolet Volt and battery electric Bolt. GM announced last year it was ending production of the plug-in Volt as well as a low-selling plug-in Cadillac CT6, even as it moved to boost EV spending. GM said in November as part of its restructuring efforts it was doubling resources for electric and autonomous vehicle programs over the next two years. Last month, two Ohio senators asked GM to commit to building all future electric vehicles for U.S. buyers within the country. GM said in 2017 it planned by 2021 to introduce a new dedicated flexible electric vehicle architecture and an advanced battery system to support the development of at least 20 new models in the United States and China. GM said in 2017 that a new electric vehicle platform in 2021 will serve as a base for at least nine derivatives, ranging from a compact crossover to a large seven-passenger luxury sports utility vehicle and a large commercial van. Johan de Nysschen, who was then Cadillac's president, told Reuters at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2018 the luxury brand will play a "central role" in GM's electrification strategy, including China. He added that Cadillac would be "at the forefront" of rolling out new electric vehicles in the United States and China. He left GM in April. This week, GM said Cadillac sales in China rose 17.2 percent in 2018, surpassing 200,000 units for the first time. GM Chief Executive Mary Barra has said that GM aims to sell 1 million electric vehicles a year by 2026, many of them in China, which has set strict production quotas on such vehicles.
