Up for auction is my 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. This car is silver with green interior. The car is all original. The car is a driver and not a show car. The car only has 61,000 original miles and has never been driven in snow or inclement weather. The exterior of the car has no rot at all and a couple very minor barely noticeable spots of surface rust. The interior is in decent shape the seats have cracking in the leather but no tears. The door panels are in decent shape there is a tear in the driver side one but fairly decent other then that. The carpet was replaced about six months ago. The power top works great and was just replaced last month. I have a parade boot for the car which is a hard cover that goes over the top when its down so you can sit on it. The parade boot is black in color and you can see it in the picture of the trunk. The car has had many new parts in the last year which include top, all 4 tires with whitewalls, idler arm, steering stabilizer links, rear air shocks, battery, and the list goes on. The floors are solid in the car and the rears were replaced last summer. The paint on the car shines up good. The filler plates between the headlights and body and the tailights and body are intact but the paint could use redoing. It is a 40 year old all original car so there is some scratches and small sports of surface rust but the rust is very minimal and the car is still very presentable. The trunk lid has some scratches on it but that is the worst of the blemishes on car I think. I included a pic of the trunk lid so you can see what im talking about. The chrome on the car is in decent shape it does have some spots where it peeling but isn't bad at all. The frame on the car is as solid as can be with no rot spots or weak spots. The car has the 500ci V8 in it and is front wheel drive. Overall this car is in good shape for being almost 40 years old and all original. I upgraded the radio in the car and had a cd player installed and new speakers in front and back of car. Mechanically the car runs good the only issues is a exhaust leak which I have never tried to trace down because it didnt bother me much and it leaks some small oil drips which every old caddy does no matter what year they are. Its not enough of a leak to leave marks in the driveway but you can see some old oil on motor. If your looking for a restored car to trailer to shows then this isn't it but if your looking for a car to load with people and drive to the shows and drive home then look no further. This car gets compliments every time I drive it due to how it looks and mostly because of how big it is. The car is around 20 feet long and floats like a caddy should. This is a very fun car to drive and I have enjoyed it but thinking of buying a older truck so one of the toys has to go. The car is sold as is and the buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and the remainder is due within 7 days. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Autoblog's ultimate holiday rides
Tue, Dec 16 2014Over the hills and through the woods, it's the time of year when many of us visit family and friends for the holidays. But getting there can be a chore. It's cold and snowy across much of the United States, and even if the climate is favorable, the drive to grandmother's house often is not. Think back to holiday road trips of yore: They probably included crying babies, antsy children, hungover adults and frequent bathrooms stops all around. Now, we're all at different life stages here at Autoblog, and the perfect car for one staffer might be as useful as a team of Budweiser Clydesdales to another. Some of us bounce from family event to family event with children and a labrador in tow, while others prefer a quieter, simpler holiday. But whatever the endeavor, we all need wheels. With that in mind, here is the unofficial Autoblog list of the ultimate cars in which to tackle the holiday season. 2015 Ferrari FF To borrow a chestnut from Top Gear presenter James May, "As you'd expect, I've done this properly." That oddly voluptuous ruby bolide in the photo above? It's a 2015 Ferrari FF – all 652 all-wheel-driven horsepower of it. What makes a Ferrari the ideal for holiday time in PaukertLand? My Midwestern winter breaks are wonderful, but they're typically frenetic and slushy, involving a lot of schlepping from house to house and even city to city, not to mention inevitable last-minute runs for forgotten presents and dinner ingredients. Needless to say, a powerful V12 is a welcome ally for such duties. And this one isn't just a friend when the road is clear. The FF has been gifted Ferrari's novel 4RM AWD system, and despite sitting lower to the ground than, say, an SUV, it's a pretty effective tool for real winter driving, especially when outfitted with a set of snow tires. Unlike other Ferraris, it's also a rather practical thing, with legitimate seating for four adults and 15.9 cubic feet of cargo space – that's precisely as much room as a Mercedes E-Class – and you can fold the rear chairs and cram 28.2 cubes-worth of holiday cheer in the back. Okay, so it's far from cheap and fuel economy isn't that great, but who cares? Just drop a paddle-shifted gear or two, bury the throttle and Repeat The Sounding Joy. Ain't the holidays grand? – Chris Paukert Executive Editor 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe My Mom gives out more presents than any other human being I've ever encountered.
Cadillac highlights craftsmanship in latest Escalade teaser videos
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.
As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.
Cadillac tipped to call flagship something other than LTS
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without large sedans in its lineup, and while the XTS has had to hold down that end of the fort all on its own, it won't have to for too long. That's because the luxury brand in the General Motors portfolio is preparing to roll out its new LTS, stylistically previewed by the Elmiraj concept pictured above. Only now, the latest thinking is that the upcoming flagship model may not be called LTS at all.
As Automotive News points out, Cadillac's naming scheme is all over the place at the moment. The ATS slotting below the CTS makes sense (alphabetically), but where do the ELR, SRX and especially the Escalade fit into that naming hierarchy? And how would LTS - as the project has been known until now - sit above the XTS?
Fortunately, Cadillac may be on the case, as two of the division's most recent senior appointments seem keen to rationalize the naming scheme. One is Uwe Ellinghaus, who joined Cadillac as chief marketing officer late last year. Speaking of the brand's nomenclature last spring, Ellinghaus was quoted as saying, "We are aware that this is currently a weakness of the Cadillac brand." And his new boss is bound to agree.
