See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"The only place that has a crack is where a tire blew out on the drivers side in the rear, & cracked a piece of fiberglass in the rear I looked up the part and they are $50.00, because I wanted to put a new one on. I have the mans name and information, he did not have one in pearl white, but assures me he gets them in and will contact me when he does. Other than the normal little marks there is nothing in or out of the car. I know that the seats are all perfect but the drivers seat shows that it has had more wear than the others. I even found out how much it would cost to make it perfect and I was quoted $75.00. Anymore I would definitely get sheep skin seat covers due to the heat. You can really burn yourself in shorts on a sunny summer day. I can say that I think the car looks fantastic. It is getting ready to rain here so I did not wash the car and I'm sure it can look better than the pictures and if you want more pictures after the storm is over, I will be happy to send more."

I purchased this vehicle from the Son of an elderly women. It was in tip top condition with very low miles on it. I needed a new car and so invested a little more than I had planned, but got a wonderful car in return. I have kept it in the same great condition and the mileage remains low for a 1991. When I decided it was time to sell our family home of  over 50 years I had to make a decision if I was going to keep my Cadillac or sell it for a new car. After looking around, I decided there was no need to get a new car. I took it to the mechanic that I had work on it since I first bought it and he made a list of suggestions of the things that  he felt should be done to error on the side of caution. I put over $2,660.00 into it which included motor mounts, transmission parts, I have all the paper work and proof of payment from him at Amcco. He suggested that I was in need of a catalytic converter, so I went to Midas and has that put in which was an additional $400.00 and also have the paid receipt for that. I had the tires rotated and oil changed regularly and the air conditioning is ice cold and the car runs like a dream. After my first year in my new home I realized at 7.000 feet, you need a four wheel drive vehicle, not a luxury car, so I purchased a Toyota four wheel drive and drove the Cadillac to Las Vegas to visit a friend. It has never spent a winter anywhere other than the dessert. I know who ever buys this car will be happy with it. I have never had it quit on me. Not in a parking lot or by the side of the road. I have always taken excellent care of it and had the oil and all fluids checks and it pays off. I would not hesitate to leave right now and drive across the country without a worry in the world. That is how much I trust in this vehicle. I intend to get some pictures of the trunk, which is immaculate and of the engine as it is immaculate too! I will post those later this evening. I don't think you can go wrong with this vehicle. It has been pampered and it is a car you can count on. Plus it will spoil you with the feel of a Cadillac!! It is like no other car as far as comfort. The automatic mirrors that you can adjust depending on how you are sitting in the adjustable seats is perfect! Both the front and back seats have the pull down console that make it look like bucket seats. I like that. Even so, the seats are so wide and comfortable, but it is great to lean against and the front one holds tapes and anything else you want! The glove box has the original 1991 Vehicle and Owner Information book, bound in the same beautiful leather as the seats. I also will put the repair information in their for you. There is warranty information on both of them, so it is important that you have them. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.  I have listed this car locally, just to let you know it could sell. Once I get a bid on Ebay, I will remove it from the local papers. Thank you for looking. There is a $500.00 deposit that is payable within 24 hours of being notified that you are the winning bidder. You have 7 days to remove the vehicle, but I will be happy to work with you if more time is needed. If you are flying in, I will be more than happy to pick you up from the airport. The balance is due prior to transportation taking vehicle from property and the title will be forwarder via in person OR by Express Mail so you will have tracking numbers and will receive it the next day. If you are sending a cashiers check from the bank, I will need to verify that the funds are transferable to a cashiers check before I can release the title. It is certainly nothing personal but I have had so many warnings that I am following everything right down to every single warning! Thanks again. Best of luck.

1959 Cadillac Eldorado and more featured in latest 'Forza Horizon 4' car pack

Thu, Feb 14 2019

It's that time again, time for another Forza Horizon 4 car pack. This one is a bit bittersweet, because while there are some great cars, it will also be the last one included with the Car Pass, which covered every downloadable car pack for a discounted price. So either we won't see many additional cars in the coming months, or we'll be paying extra for them. On a brighter note, the cars in this pack are cool, particularly the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible. Threading this aircraft carrier of a car through British streets should be highly entertaining. It's also stylish as all get-out. There are more appropriately sporty cars coming, too, including the 1994 Honda Prelude Si, 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo and the all-new TVR Griffith. Some reward cars being added come from the role-playing video game Final Fantasy XV. They're the Quartz Regalia Type F and Type D. The Type F is another big luxury convertible in the vein of the Cadillac, and the Type D is the monster truck version. The car pack is available now, and is free to owners of the $29.99 Car Pass. The individual car packs are available for $6.99 separately, and individual cars are even available for $2.99 a piece if you only want specific ones. Junkyard Gem: 1997 Cadillac Catera

Sun, Jun 16 2024

GM's Cadillac Division was having a tough time in the early 1990s, with an onslaught of Lexuses and Infinitis pouring across the Pacific to steal their younger customers while high-end German manufacturers picked off their older customers. Flying an S-Class-priced model between assembly lines in Turin and Hamtramck hadn't worked out, so why not look to the European outposts of the far-flung GM Empire for the next Cadillac? That's how the Catera was born, and I have found a rare first-year example in a North Carolina car graveyard. Across the Atlantic, GM's Opel and Vauxhall were doing good business with prosperous European car buyers by selling them the sleek rear-wheel-drive Omega B (whose platform also lived beneath the Holden VT Commodore in Australia). Here was a genuine German design that competed with success against BMW and Audi on their home turf! So, the Omega B was Americanized and renamed the Catera. Opel wasn't a completely unknown brand to Americans at the time, since its cars were sold here with their own badging through Buick dealerships from the middle 1950s through the late 1970s (for a much shorter period, American Pontiac dealers attempted to sell Vauxhalls). Even after that, plenty of Opel DNA showed up in the products of U.S.-market GM divisions. The Catera was by far the most affordable Cadillac for 1997, with an MSRP starting at $29,995 (about $59,113 in 2024 dollars). Being a genuine German car, it looked much more convincingly European than the DeVille ($36,995), Eldorado ($37,995) and Seville ($39,995). Inspired by the ducks on the Cadillac emblem (they were really supposed to be martlets, mythical birds with no feet and occasionally lacking beaks), Cadillac's marketers went after youthful car shoppers with a whimsical animated duck named Ziggy. For the 21st century, the birds were removed from the Cadillac emblem in order to attract California buyers under 45 years of age. As we all know, the Catera flopped hard in the marketplace. What sold well in Europe turned out not to translate so well in in North America, especially when bearing the badges of such a historically prestigious brand. The Catera's engine was a 54-degree 3.0-liter V6 rated at 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet. Just as had been the case with its predecessor, the Allante, no manual transmission was available.

Cadillac releases updated 2015 CTS

Sun, 10 Aug 2014

Cadillac is in the process of applying the new wreathless emblem across its range one model at a time, but rather than simply slap the new logo on the existing models, it's taking the opportunity to roll out some revisions as well. First came the ATS coupe, followed by the updated ATS sedan, and now the flagship brand in the General Motors portfolio has quietly announced some revisions for the CTS sedan as well.
For the 2015 model year, the CTS - which was just introduced last year - gets a revised front end with that wreathless crest but also a new chrome grille with active aero elements on standard models and a black-chrome grille on the Vsport. The revised grille is flanked by new headlights, but behind them the engine lineup carries over: a 2.0-liter turbo four with 272 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 with 321 hp or - in the Vsport performance model - a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 420 hp that's still the most powerful V6 GM has ever made. All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission (ditching the six-speed auto on previous versions) and (apart from the RWD Vsport) can be had in rear- or all-wheel-drive flavors.
Cadillac has also given the updated CTS some new electronics (including inductive smartphone charging, onboard wifi, and more advanced parking and lane assist systems) as well as new wheels, trims and color options, details on which you can read in the press release below.
