This is a sweet old skool caddy. The door handles have been shaved. Independently controlled air bags on all four wheels, wide white walls. 429 starts and runs great, tranny shifts when it should. This is a great cruiser and gets a ton of looks. The top of the fenders, hood and trunk are pinstripped.  Interior is in great shape.  The cars needs a few small things. I will do my best to make an accurate listing so I dont have a disappointed buyer.  If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to give you an honest answer.

I bought this car a few months ago and have no complaints. It is very solid and has given me no problems, my wife and I recently decided leave the busy life we had and sell most of the big things we have and travel the world, (yes we are the crazy ones that do that kind of thing)  I wouldnt sell this car except we dont know how long we will be gone, and we have no where to store it, (we actually have 3 1964 cadillacs... thats a lot of caddys to store, they all must go)  anyway, back to the car.  THe paint job is what caught my eye when I first saw this car, its pretty sweet, but it does have its flaws, there are a few knicks, scratches and so forth in it, no dents or anything major, I feel the paint was done 10 years ago or so, so it has normal wear and tear on the exterior.  The engine runs good, I just put a brand new battery in a month ago. The air system works, but if I were going to keep the car I would install another compressor on the tank. The front right solenoid on the air bag sticks once in awhile, so maybe replace that too cause you have to play with it once in awhile to get the front right to go up, (maybe its a loose wire, I havent dug into it)  Car is very solid, I had it checked out by a body shop and they said it was a pretty solid car, floor, trunk ect are all rust free.
The door poppers have been removed and would need a new set installed, they are $140 bucks from Speedway Automotive I will include that catalog with the car. It is a clear Wyoming title.  I may be able to work out a delivery between Wyoming and Wisconsin as I travel there often.

Please email me with any questions. Chad_Micah@yahoo.com
I do have this car for sale locally, and on a few other places, so I have the right to end the auction early

Please only serious bidders only.  Only bid if you intend to buy, and ask any questions or for additional pictures of things you want to see before you bid.

Cadillac previews upcoming new XT5 crossover [UPDATE]

Thu, Sep 10 2015

UPDATE: Cadillac has released another three images, which we've added to the gallery above. Cadillac is gearing up to unveil its new XT5 crossover at the Dubai Motor Show in November. We've already seen what it'll look like - from a couple of angles, anyway - but the all-American luxury automaker has given us another taste of what's to come with a quartet of images released on its official Facebook page. Set to replace the SRX that's now six years old, the all-new XT5 adopts the new design language we've seen on newer Cadillacs of late. That's most particularly emphasized with those vertically integrated LED headlights. The sharply creased styling is also signature Cadillac, as is the egg-crate grille capped by the brand's wreath-less new emblem. The dark brown paint job also looks like it has a deep metallic flake to it, offset by satin brightwork where you might have once expected to see glinting chrome. (Then again, it could just be reflecting a uniform backdrop.) The XT5 is expected to be the first of several new Caddy crossovers to wear the letters XT. A smaller model (likely to be dubbed XT3) is tipped to slot in below, with a larger XT7 to slot in above – but still below the defiantly truck-based Escalade that's not about to go anywhere anytime soon. Sedans will continue to start their nameplates with the letters CT. But after a dozen years, the letters SRX will be retired from the Cadillac lexicon. Related Video:

Junkyard Gem: 1983 Cadillac Cimarron

Wed, Jul 26 2017

Ah, the Cadillac Cimarron. Conceived during a time when oil prices were zooming upward and smallish luxury imports such as the Datsun 810 and BMW 320i were stealing Detroit's customers, the idea of a fuel-efficient compact Cadillac made sense. Unfortunately for GM, the Cimarron was an image-tarnishing disaster. Here's a fairly well-preserved '83 that I spotted in a Phoenix self-service wrecking yard. In the words of Pulitzer-winning Dan Neil in his 50 Worst Cars of All Time: "Everything that was wrong, venal, lazy and mendacious about GM in the 1980s was crystallized in this flagrant insult to the good name and fine customers of Cadillac." The Cimarron was a Chevrolet Cavalier with a bit of added bling and a fatter price tag. The Chevrolet Nova-based Cadillac Seville had sold pretty well during the late 1970s, so there was precedent for a small, Chevy-based Cadillac. The hood latch mechanism was broken (of course), so I couldn't shoot any photos of this car's 2.0-liter pushrod four-cylinder engine, rated at 86 horsepower. Here's a GM-produced documentary touting the futuristic design of the '83 Cimarron. The Cimarron Dream. Cadillac V-Performance Academy joins free driving school party

Sun, Sep 4 2016

Just in case you needed another reason to want one of Cadillac's hottest performers, starting with the 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, the first owner of each vehicle can score a free two-day course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort with the V-Performance Academy. According to Spring Mountain's website, the V-Performance Academy "is designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes dynamic car control exercises, visual skill development, and proper cornering techniques," with "brief" classroom sessions sprinkled in. Driving programs like the V-Performance Academy are all the rage right now. In the last few weeks alone, both Fiat and Ford announced free one-day academies baked right into the price of cars like the 124 Abarth and Focus RS. As with the Ford and Fiat courses, Cadillac is providing the learner cars. But where those other courses call on vehicle owners to shell out for airfare, food, and in Fiat's case, lodging, Cadillac covers tuition – a $2,420 expense for non-owners – along with two nights in one of Spring Mountain's "luxury condominiums" and breakfast and lunch during both driving days. Students are still on the hook for airfare, although Caddy will shuttled attendees from Las Vegas McCarren to the track/resort, some 55 miles away. If you can't shell out for the flight to Las Vegas, a new CTS-V or ATS-V, or simply can't spare two days for a driving school, Cadillac is ramping up for another year of its one-day, traveling V-Performance Lab, which will run at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.
