~This is a very original, neat old 1964 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. 100% Rust free survivor. Original 429 V8 340HP. Automatic transmission, Power everything, Factory AC. This car has never seen a day of snow or a salty road in its life. Its lived its whole life in dry climate of Nevada and California.
~The body and paint: The body is very straight and rust free. No rust or accidents. It still wears all if its original white paint. Absolutely NO bondo in this one. What you see is what you get! No surprises hidden by a fresh paint job. This car is as honest as they come. While the paint is not "perfect" It does look pretty darn good for being nearly 50 years old. It has a few thin spots and a few minor blemishes but over all looks very presentable. The floor pans, frame and trunk are completely rust free as well. No rust, no patching, no scaling, just nice and original. The original jack instruction sticker is still under the trunk. Its a rock solid car! All chrome and trim are in nice original condition. Small ding in rear bumper.
~The interior: The front seat has been recovered. The dash is absolutely perfect! All gauges are nice and bright. Still has the original radio. Headliner is in good shape. Door panels are clean. The rear seat is starting to get a little dry and could stand to be redone. All of the glass is good.
~The car runs and drives well. Recently just drove roundtrip form San Diego to Los Angles and back with no problem. Car starts right up with no smoke or funny noises. Transmission shifts smooth. Brakes are good. All of the lights work. Windows can be a little finicky sometimes. I think cleaning the contact would help.
~TERMS OF SALE - non refundable $1,000 deposit due 24 hours after auction ends. Car needs to be paid for in full within 3 days. I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant buying experience but PLEASE do not bid on it if you do not intend to buy it or if you do not have your finances in order. Its not cheap to sell cars on eBay and it just wastes everyone’s time. Shipping is buyers responsibility but I will be happy to assist if you like. Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
