WOW, what a surprising car. A Cadillac with a Corvette heart. The Cadillac CTS-V was and still is the ultimate 4 door sports car. This car has the 405 horsepower LS6 Corvette motor from the factory. This is the exact same motor as the Z06 Corvettes. GM backed the motor up with a 6 speed manual transmission, full independent rear suspension and Brembo brakes on all 4 corners. GM even included a g force meter in the instrumentation (see photo). These cars sold new for almost $60,000 in 2005. My wife calls it our 4 dr. Corvette. ( we also have 2 older corvettes) The car is absolutely loaded. Power Moon Roof, AM/FM/Satellite/6CD CD Changer/Navigation, Power everything. I have added Magnaflow exhaust, K&N FIPK cold air intake and a programmer. I have all of the original components to go with the car. I am the second owner and I have owned it since March 2009. The car is in impeccable condition. All original paint with only two minor imperfections, 1 door ding (see photo) and the paint shows cracks on the rear bumper in one spot (see photo). The front bumper, hood, mirrors, ect. have no stone chips. This car is as clean as a 2013. I have always garaged the car and did not drive it in bad weather (snow). The interior looks almost like a new car. It has leather seating with suede centers and white piping. No tears or rips anywhere. The car has always been hand washed by me, fortunately my barn is heated and insulated, making it easy to wash a car anytime. I have always used Mobil1 oil in the car. Last summer I replaced the radiator (noticed it leaking during an oil change). While I had the radiator out, I replaced all of the hoses including the heater hoses, replaced the thermostat, belts, idler pulleys, etc. Has all of the original manuals with it, owners manual, OnStar manuals and disk, navigation manuals and disk, original leather case with Cadillac note pad. The tires are still in good condition and are the same ones that were on it when I bought the car. The car it had roughly 128 thousand miles on it when I bought it, shortly there after the electronic odometer quit working, all other gages worked fine, so I didn't worry about it. I did just replace it so that new owner wouldn't have to worry about it, but I have no idea how many miles I have put on it, well less that the life of the tires, therefore I'm selling it miles unknown. The motor runs excellent with 42 psi oil pressure idling, everything on the car works as if it were new. The only exception is over time 3 of the tire pressure monitors have quit working, planned on replacing them when it needed new tires, just doesn't need any yet. Look the pictures over, you will see that this car is in very good condition and a blast to drive. I have set the reserve low since I recently lost my job and would be better off with the money in the bank. I described the car to the best of my abilities, but I'm sure I missed a thing or two. So, if you have any questions, please ask them, I encourage coming and looking at the car, you will be surprised as to how nice it is. I did add a mini receiver type of trailer hitch a couple of years ago. I only pulled a small open motorcycle trailer with my motorcycle on it once. I didn't like my bike being exposed to the elements, decided I'd rather use my truck with an enclosed trailer and spend a little extra on gas. My apologies for jumping around with the description stuff, just listed the information as it hit me.

2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Not long after bombing around the Milford Road Course in the new CTS Vsport, Cadillac invited me to try out its other new-for-2014 Vsport model: the XTS. And despite using the same twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 from the CTS, the Vsport package takes on a whole new meaning here in Cadillac's softer flagship.
In the CTS, this trim perfectly bridges the gap between the standard models and the hardcore CTS-V, and is focused on being the best-driving version of the range without a standalone V badge. The XTS, however, has no proper V model, so the Vsport becomes the new range-topper for that line by default. But unlike the CTS Vsport, which uses rear-wheel-drive architecture and is focused on driving dynamics above all, the XTS is geared toward a much different customer.
The entire XTS experience is far more concerned with plush comfort than handling prowess, and while this Vsport model certainly ups the ante with more power and some mild suspension and steering tweaks, it's not exactly what we'd call a particularly engaging experience. But that doesn't mean it isn't good.
Cadillac reveals stretched ATS-L in China
Tue, 29 Jul 2014In the market for a new Cadillac, but need more space than an ATS can afford? Then you'll want to look at the larger CTS. Unless you live in China, where buyers - often chauffeured instead of driving themselves - seem to prefer a long-wheelbase version of a smaller sedan than upgrading to a larger one. For those buyers, Cadillac has released the new ATS-L.
Based on the existing ATS sports sedan, the ATS-L offers an extra 3.3 inches of rear legroom over the model we get here. As a result, the ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches, while riding a quarter-inch lower than the standard-wheelbase model, which itself was recently updated. That places its length in between the regular ATS and the CTS available Stateside.
Otherwise it's essentially the same sedan, but appears to ditch the base 2.0-liter four to offer either the 2.0-liter turbo four or 3.6-liter V6. Of course this model, produced locally for the Chinese market, isn't likely to make the transpacific voyage to US showrooms, so American buyers will still have to choose between the standard ATS, the larger CTS or the even larger XTS.
