I got this beautiful Cadillac from the original owner a little over a year ago.  At that time, the mileage was 18K.  It was not driven for five years and was stored properly in his garage.  The paint is perfect - showroom original as is the leather interior.  There are no dings, dents or body damage of any kind.  The only wear visible is to the original top and that was from storing it folded down.  There was a small rip that was repaired on the driver's side from getting pinched when folded down. I have a brand new, factory original top still in the box for when the current top isn't serviceable.  The dash is perfect, the dash cover is just protection from the sun and is easily removed.  There are no issues with the digital dash and the heater and AC work perfectly.

I added brand new chrome Allante wheels and brand new tires when I got it and had everything serviced.  The brake system was gone through at great expense and the master cylinder was replaced.  The BOSE stereo system radio CDM and the four speaker amps were rebuilt and it sounds fantastic.  The car has won first place trophies in local car shows and it is a pleasure to drive.  The car is mechanically excellent, very well maintained by a master mechanic who is very meticulous, like me.  It gets polished every two months and the leather gets treated weekly to maintain its showroom condition.

You can buy an Allante for around 6-12K in good condition, then be very surprised when you have to spend many thousands more repairing the stereo system, brakes, etc.  I have already done this and have $22K invested.  My buy it now price is quite reasonable for this very fine example of a roadster climbing up in desirability and price.

The usual disclaimers apply.  The car is sold as is where is with no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied.  It is not perfect, but what is? It resides in Palm Springs, California and you are welcome to see, drive, inspect and ogle this car if you wish.  I welcome any inspection by you or a professional inspector/appraiser, all you need to do is call me to set it up.

I will entertain offers, but I am fairly firm on the buy it now price.

I can be reached at 702 400-3749

2015 Cadillac Escalade on sale in April priced at $71,695*

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

With the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade set to go on sale in April, Cadillac has released the pricing data for its fullsize luxury SUV. While there's no retail configurator yet, the data posted on AOL Autos - and confirmed by Cadillac - shows that the 2015 Escalade will have a starting price of $71,695 (*not including $995 for destination).
This new starting price is about $8,000 more than the outgoing model, but Cadillac is quick to point out that the latest 'Slade is packed with more standard equipment in the new base Standard trim that actually puts it more on par with the midlevel Premium trim on the 2014 model (currently priced at $73,245). These new standard features include Magnetic Ride Control, LED headlights and taillights and 20-inch wheels.
Stepping up to the 2015 Escalade Luxury, the price increases to $75,695 and includes added equipment like 22-inch wheels, head-up display, power fold-and-tumble second-row seats and safety systems such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The top-rung 2015 Escalade Premium will start at $80,195 adding features such as a rear-seat entertainment system, illuminated exterior door handles and the Driver Assist Package consisting of front and rear automatic braking and adaptive cruise control.

Cadillac drops the base engine in the 2017 ATS

Tue, Jun 28 2016

Cadillac, in an effort to boost sales of the slow moving ATS, is making some changes to the 2017 model. Most notably, the luxury manufacturer is dropping the base 2.5-liter normally-aspirated four-cylinder engine from the lineup, leaving the 272 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four as the base engine. The base 2.0-liter ATS will start at $35,590, $1,380 more than the 2016 model, though that's partially offset by more standard equipment. The base model now comes standard with Cadillac's controversial CUE infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, a Bose surround-sound speaker system, and a backup camera. Despite the bump in price for the base model, all other ATS trim levels will see prices reduced between $650 and $1,100, depending on the model. The ATS was designed to be Cadillac's answer to the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Though the ATS was originally released at a time where the Germans were slightly off their game, it's never quite matched up in terms of performance or customer perception posting disappointing sales figures compared to the competition. Cadillac has had problems getting customers into cars, and few ATS customers are converts from luxury competition. In order to offload inventory and lure in new customers, the company has previously been forced to offer big lease deals. Many of these customers have come over from more mainstream brands like Chevrolet and Ford. ATS sales have fallen 23 percent through May versus 2015. The car's market share has fallen every year since 2013, currently occupying just 4.5 percent of the compact luxury market. Unless Cadillac can offer some truly amazing deals, we don't expect many shoppers to buy American over the strong German competition. Related video: Cadillac Luxury Sedan

Cadillac V-Performance Academy joins free driving school party

Sun, Sep 4 2016

Just in case you needed another reason to want one of Cadillac's hottest performers, starting with the 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, the first owner of each vehicle can score a free two-day course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort with the V-Performance Academy. According to Spring Mountain's website, the V-Performance Academy "is designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes dynamic car control exercises, visual skill development, and proper cornering techniques," with "brief" classroom sessions sprinkled in. Driving programs like the V-Performance Academy are all the rage right now. In the last few weeks alone, both Fiat and Ford announced free one-day academies baked right into the price of cars like the 124 Abarth and Focus RS. As with the Ford and Fiat courses, Cadillac is providing the learner cars. But where those other courses call on vehicle owners to shell out for airfare, food, and in Fiat's case, lodging, Cadillac covers tuition – a $2,420 expense for non-owners – along with two nights in one of Spring Mountain's "luxury condominiums" and breakfast and lunch during both driving days. Students are still on the hook for airfare, although Caddy will shuttled attendees from Las Vegas McCarren to the track/resort, some 55 miles away. If you can't shell out for the flight to Las Vegas, a new CTS-V or ATS-V, or simply can't spare two days for a driving school, Cadillac is ramping up for another year of its one-day, traveling V-Performance Lab, which will run at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.
