You are bidding to purchase a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Collectors Edition station wagon that has been driven on average less than 3,700 miles per year, far less than 15,000 the industry average. These miles are certified thru Car fax,Auto check (with a very impressive score and a no accident history),the prior owner and without question the remarkable condition of the vehicle. These are the kind of miles you would typically find on very pricey 2010 and 2009 models but hardly ever on a 1996.

                    *************************

In these difficult economic times and with the price of everything going higher and higher we feel the fairest way to sell this automobile is to let you the buyer set the price, yes you, after all isn't that the best way to buy,you price it?

                         ********************

This beautiful wagon came to us from a private owner in a very exclusive suburb of our nations capital. We find this vehicle clean from front to rear with very limited cosmetic imperfections (EG: dings, dimples, scuffs ect.).We see no corrosion on the doors, fenders, pannels or undercarriage. The original factory finish (light sand drift metallic) still has that new car luster (obviously garage kept). All lenses, trim and moldings are clean and straight. The original windshield is clear and clean showing no stone bruises, cracks or wiper mar. There are a very fresh looking matching set of all season steel belted radials riding on the original rims with all wire wheel covers present showing no curb or road rash. The unused spare and all jacking hardware are present and stowed properly.

                                          **************************

The interior is neat and tidy and appears to have been very well looked after. The dash shows no signs of sun fade or degradation. The upholstery, trim panels and carpeting are in remarkable condition with no signs of neglect or abuse. The original headliner is clean and tight with no sagging of the material. It is quite evident that this vehicle has never been smoked in,eaten in or used to carry pets,so so refreshing

                                        **************************

Upon acquiring this vehicle we took it directly to our certified tech who has been with us for 23 years. After an extensive road test of speeds to 65 mph and some routine service checks he had nothing but compliments saying ''that is one fine automobile''.The well proven 5.7L V8 SFI engine fires to life with the click of the key coming to idle at specs. We see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust. On the drive the acceleration is strong, the front end is tight and pleasing ,the track is true and straight and the brakes stop the vehicle confidently with no pull or shudder. This vehicle delivers that ''TRUE BUICK RIDE'' in every way! The climate control system works quietly while producing excellent cooling throughout. We see no issues with the power windows, power door locks, power seats, cruise control, heat, derfrost, original sound system or safety features. It is our opinion that this automobile has been on a strict regiment of preventive maintenance and if continued by the next lucky owners they can expect many years and many miles of trouble-free service.Without question.

                                             ******************************

Whether you need a great family wagon,an excellent versatile tow vehicle or a fine addition to your collection that will appreciate in the coming years this beauty is certainly worth a look. Please keep in mind full size wagons of this vintage,in this condition with these kind of miles are few and far between so bid confidently you have found a special one.As always you are welcome to come take a look, listen or drive prior to biding and we encourage this.We are minutes from Annapolis.Maryland zip code 21061.To our out of town friends we offer free shuttle service from close by BWI airport or Amtrack rail station.Any questions or concerns please e-mail or call Tom or Mike @ 410-207-2168.

2024 Buick Envista First Drive Review: Budget belle

Tue, Jul 11 2023

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Want an affordable small crossover that looks and feels good, might even impress your passengers, and wonÂ’t make your eyes go cross while configuring one online? BuickÂ’s got a new one for you, and itÂ’s pretty slick. The 2024 Buick Envista starts below $25,000, and in a world of rampant inflation, it actually lives up to what you thought that much money could get you a few years ago. You should be pleasantly surprised with what you get — just donÂ’t ask for all-wheel drive or an engine upgrade. To these eyes, the Envista looks good from all angles. While the refresh of the Buick Encore GX for the 2024 model year was the first production vehicle to use design elements inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept, the Envista marks the “first complete expression” of that new design language, as Buick design boss Bob Boniface put it. No, itÂ’s not a two-door coupe like the Wildcat, and it still doesnÂ’t have the WildcatÂ’s electric powertrain, but those looks translate even better to a new vehicle designed from the ground up. It has the pointy nose, the high, wing-like headlights and the new tri-shield Buick logo that also made its way onto the Encore. But the Envista has a swept-back profile, with the roofline giving way to a toned-down example of rear shoulders flaring out over the wheels. The nicely tucked rear end is home to lighting that better matches the units up front. ItÂ’s lower and sleeker than the Encore, putting itself more visually at the car end of the crossover spectrum, while the GX leans more toward SUV. And youÂ’ll get a more carlike drive from the Envista, too. ThereÂ’s only one powertrain: a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder powering the front wheels. ThereÂ’s no AWD option here, and no four-cylinder. Not even a 1.3-liter upgrade like in the Encore GX. There is a traditional automatic transmission with only six forward gears, and no dreaded CVT in sight. ThereÂ’s very little you could do on the order sheet to change the way the Envista drives — pick a version with the upgraded rear suspension that Buick claims provides a more superior ride (a Watts link for those who care) or change up the wheel size, maybe — but certainly not in terms of what drives the wheels. You get 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque in the Envista, figures that are awfully low these days, but that we also found perfectly suited to this mission.

GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.

This 1988 Buick LeSabre Estate Wagon looks like a boxy, wood-sided bargain

Fri, May 8 2020

The growing interest in 1980s cars has meant that General Motors' full-size B-body station wagons of the era are now attracting the interest of collectors as well as iconoclasts seeking an SUV alternative. This 1988 Buick LeSabre Estate Wagon for sale right now on eBay Motors, looks to be a tempting example of the genre. It has covered just 72,000 miles and is described as a "rust-free southern car." The A/C is said to be cold, and it's equipped with power windows, a split-bench front seat and a rear-facing third seat. Whereas the Electra was the wagon for the finest estates, the LeSabre presumably was for those that were one rung down, so it has a slightly more downmarket maroon cloth interior where the Electra would have velour. Yet this LeSabre Estate Wagon is still slathered in a full complement of woodgrain siding, and this car sports a factory set of wire wheel covers. We're told the 5.0-liter V8 sound great, while the paint is said to be "a little tired" and one headlight looks like it needs to be replaced. The "Buy It Now" price is $8,500, and the seller is also inviting offers. Plus, 1% of the sales price benefits St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, so there's a feel-good factor. For comparison, this wagon's Oldsmobile twin currently being auctioned on Bring a Trailer already has been bid past $8,900 for four days still to go in the auction. This '83 Custom Cruiser has 74,000 miles and looks maybe a little spiffier, but not a lot more so. The seller of this Oldsmobile includes a video in his listing, and in it he appears to be not wearing pants. Sometimes it's all about presentation. Related Video:
