1957 Buick Roadmaster Model 73, 4 Door Hardtop,v-8,55,56 Limited on 2040-cars
Lewistown, Montana, United States
I assume this is the Model 70, but tag calls it a model 73, and I was told by a Buick collector that this should be the LIMITED edition, because of the extra chrome trim going over the roof that was a special option, but no badging to this effect is shown. This is a decent old car that is literally a barn find. The body and floors are very solid. This has been stored in a dry Montana barn for many, many years. It runs and drives, but would need checked over before being driven on the highway. The oil looked real good, It fired right up, but the battery we put in it is is weak. I would consider putting a brand new battery in if we sell at full price. There is a switch on the engine that is not working and has to be connected to start. This would need to be replaced or an aftermarket starter button added inside, but it easy enough to start right now until the buyer has time to fix properly. This will need most of a new interior depending on the level of restoration you want to do with it. The door panels are decent, I would say driver quality. Carpets and seats definately need done. There is only one real scrape that I can think of in the right front door, not very deep, but will need work if it is repainted. We can store six months NO CHARGE, so you can take a nice spring drive up yourself and pick up if you choose. Or we will help load on any transporter you send by as long as is daylight and above freezing!! I welcome any questions and will answer as best I can. It's a great old classic, needs someone to take care of it and have fun with it.
Free storage 180 days, $2.00 a day after that unless a specific time has been set for you to pick up after the 180 days.

Watch this phantom Buick drive itself down the highway in a snow storm
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Years ago, General Motors used Buick cars to test out the idea of a "smart highway" concept. More recently, GM has been talking up its award-winning Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology that will roll out with Cadillac and make its way to Buick. The LeSabre in the video above has nothing to do with any of that.
On Interstate 15 in Utah, a man driving this LeSabre got into an accident that rearranged the front end and set the horn on permanent blare. At the time of writing this, no one is sure what happened next, but the man ended up sitting in the snow in the highway median while his car carried on down the highway without him. Passing traffic stayed well to the right.
The 51-second video below provides a different take on our autonomous future. A local newscast on KUTV covered the story the evening of the incident, but the Utah Highway Patrol didn't have any update on the fate of the LeSabre. We'll take that to mean that Buick's take on Christine could still be out on the prowl... so watch out!
GM will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales
Tue, Apr 3 2018DETROIT — General Motors said on Tuesday it will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales, saying the 30-day snapshot does not accurately reflect the market, and will instead issue quarterly sales. GM will also no longer report monthly sales in China, its largest market, and Brazil. GM will provide monthly data to the U.S. Federal Reserve, industry associations and government agencies across the globe, but that data is not made public. Analysts and investors rely on monthly U.S. vehicle sales not just to track the performance of individual automakers, but as a barometer of the health of the world's second-largest auto market and as an indicator of consumer confidence in the U.S. economy overall. GM and its Detroit rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler have relied heavily on sales of high-margin pickup truck and SUV sales to boost profits. GM's total U.S. sales, its second-largest market, are down 3.2 percent for the first two months of 2018, reflecting a 6.8 percent drop in retail sales to individual customers, the company reported last month. GM executives have expressed frustration that comparisons of monthly U.S. sales results among rival automakers are distorted by short-term discount programs, and by differences in strategy for selling vehicles in bulk to rental car fleets. "Thirty days is not enough time to separate real sales trends from short-term fluctuations in a very dynamic, highly competitive market," Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president for sales operations said in a statement. GM's actions could prompt other automakers to also switch to quarterly U.S. sales reports. Major automakers will report March U.S. new vehicle sales on Tuesday. Until the early 1990s, most U.S. automakers released sales results every 10 days. The former Chrysler Corp. stopped reporting sales on a 10-day basis in 1990, and rivals followed suit over the next three years. GM executives are betting that investors will quickly adapt to receiving U.S. sales data every three months, as investors in other retail sectors already have. Retailers such as Walmart report sales on a quarterly basis. Reporting by Joe WhiteRelated Video: Image Credit: Reuters Earnings/Financials Green Buick Cadillac Chevrolet GM GMC US
