This car is in fair condition. Please see the condition
description for potential items of concern. The engine was replaced several
summers ago and I have had very little problems with it. I have had a switch
for a fan and the O2 sensor replaced, but that has been the only work done on
the engine since it’s replacement. The car has brand new tires that cost $400. It
is also smogged.
I received this car from my grandpa as a gift and have used it throughout college. I lent it to my cousin one summer and she did not change the oil, resulting in a burned out engine which is why it was replaced. I have been the only owner since then. I am selling it because I am moving across the country back home and no longer need it. During my ownership of the vehicle I have had relatively few new problems with the car. Buick might be getting a logo makeover
Fri, 23 Nov 2012General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields. Question of the Day: Coolest factory-supercharged car?
Thu, Apr 28 2016Last week, we discussed possible engine-swap recipients for the plentiful-in-every-junkyard Eaton-supercharged GM 3800 V6 engine. The Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs that came with that engine from the factory were reasonably cool, of course, but when you look at all the production cars that have been available with supercharging over the decades you can find some pretty amazing stuff. My personal favorite has to be the Paxton-blown Studebaker Larks of the early 1960s, partly because the Lark was just about the stodgiest-looking, sleepiest little sedan available in America, possibly the most ridiculous recipient of a howling force-fed V8 imaginable, and partly because of the name of the optional supercharged 289-cubic-inch V8 you could get in the Lark: Jet-Thrust!
