1968 Buick Lesabre Custom Convertible 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Mishawaka, Indiana, United States
Beautiful 1968 Buick Le Sabre Convertible Amazing condition for a 44 year old car ! A great deal of money has been spent on body,
paint and wheels. Looks great up
close. I was told this car came from
California. From the lack of rust and corrosion
underneath I find this believable.(see undercarriage photos) Insured with Haggerty collectors insurance at a low cost of $ 160 a year for liability
and full car value. I can store this car for you until May 1st inside . I am a great believer in describing a car accurately . I have been selling collector cars on Ebay since 1999 with no complaints and want to keep my good reputation. If on inspection prior to pick up you find something major wrong I missed, you can cancel the sale immediately for a full refund. I encourage you to have the car inspected. I have a great honest independent auto shop that is tuning the car up now for the new owner where you can pay to have your own inspection while up on a lift. First the good about the car .
Amazing body and paint work looks very presentable close up I see no paint blisters, bubbles, no signs of rust. Great new tires and wheels very expensive tires and wheels Good presentable chrome Good glass (one defect) Seats are in very good shape as is dash top Runs well. I am getting a new battery and tune up right now for the new owner New exhaust Tires are size 255/30zr24 NZ7000 ? No expert on these big tires Bad, small delaminating
crack in front very left lower corner of the front windshield No radio I have NOT checked the top motor, as you do not want to
lower a convertible top when it is cold out Dash brake light is on but brakes work well I just had the ignition out to get new keys made so ignition is not back in dash just hanging by wires Drivers door lower carpet panel gone Both door carpet sill chrome panels gone At least one of the expensive tires is mounted with the tread
rotation in the wrong direction (tire
shows necessary direction of rotation ) trim body piece on the rear deck just behind the convertible top is missing. I am not an expert on this model (I restore Model T and Model A Fords) so I will continue to inspect this car and list any additional good and bad points Haggerty valuation without the tires is averaging $ 12, 526 Many in this shape are listed in the $ 18,000 price range snow is on the black carpet on the pictures I have forgotten to check the mileage, speedometer operation and heater fan wipers and will do so. Mileage listed therefore is an estimate. Email me for lots more pictures and questions This I believe is a great price for this car Reason for selling. I have about 14 collector cars and am
running out of room. I bought this car
last week for a Valentine’s day present for my wife but she says it is too big
for her. I and many others consider QUALITY classic cars as both fun to own and drive for the attention factor and descent investments The 1960's era cars should continue to appreciate for 10-15 years, as the prices seem to peak as the teenagers during those years who now are older and have money want these cars back or the car they never had. |

Junkyard Gem: 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LSS Supercharged
Tue, Mar 21 2017Oldsmobile got terminated by The General in 2005, in part because the marketing suits decided that the first three letters of the marque's name made the cars undesirable to the under-75 set (never mind that 21st-century rappers continue to venerate Oldsmobiles). Not long before the demise of Olds, though, you could buy an Eighty-Eight with the supercharged L67 V6, known as the Luxury Sports Sedan or LSS. These cars are very rare today, but I spotted this '97 in a Denver self-service wrecking yard. These Eaton blowers are now so easy to find in wrecking yards that most of them go unpicked by customers. The going rate for this supercharger is about 50 bucks, because everyone who wants one already has a big hoard of the things. If you have ever wanted to drop a supercharger onto your crapcan race car's engine, now is the time. Performance was respectable for the era, with output of 240 hp and 280 lb-ft. The 3800 was the descendant of the ancient Buick V6, which debuted way back in 1962, so GM had had many decades in which to make it a dependable (though not very smooth-running) powerplant. Yes, you could still buy big ol' sedans with rear drums at the dawn of the 21st century. Did the LSS steal any sales from potential BMW or Mercedes-Benz buyers? Probably not many, though its $27,695 price tag must have looked pretty tempting when compared to that of the much slower $32,960 Lexus ES 300 in 1997. Right now is the best time to make a resolution you'll enjoy sticking with. The reviewers at Popular Mechanics were unable to break the first-year LSS. 2014 Buick Regal priced from $29,690*
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Buick has announced pricing for the refreshed 2014 Regal. The base model offers a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 259-horsepower, four-cylinder engine for $30,615 (*after $925 delivery and destination fee). The standard turbo can be replaced by Buick's eAssist mild hybrid system for $32,485. The electrified powertrain delivers 36 miles per gallon, in place of the turbo's 30 mpg on the highway.
The big powertrain news for 2014 is the inclusion of an all-wheel-drive system for an extra $2,175. Marking one of the few uses of all-wheel drive on a Buick car, the new Regal AWD has an electronic, limited-slip differential and a HiPer Strut front suspension, which is the same front arrangement used on the hot, front-drive Regal GS.
Speaking of the Regal GS, it's not so hot for 2014. It sports the same 259-horsepower engine as the standard Regal, but offsets that with a wealth of standard, optional or flat-out exclusive equipment like active dampers, Brembo brakes and a Bose stereo. Prices (all including the $925 fee) start at $37,830. Like the standard car, the GS will be available with all-wheel drive for the first time, bringing it a bit more in line with its cousins across the pond - Opel Insignia OPC and Vauxhall Insignia VXR. Prices for the GS AWD start at $40,195.
Shanghai debuts, Jeep's new Rubicon anniversary rigs | Autoblog Podcast # 777
Fri, Apr 21 2023In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for a recap of the past week's worldwide debuts along with some updates from their recent adventures. They start off discussing the rumors of a new Ford Mustang Raptor and what that means in the context of previous rumors of a Corvette SUV. Then it's time to talk Shanghai, where Polestar, Buick, Volkswagen, Porsche and Lincoln all had big reveals. After that, they segue to Byron's trip to Moab for the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari preview where he drove the AEV Level II Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition. From there, they reminisce about Mustangs in a nod to the nameplate's 59th anniversary, after which they stick to the theme with a sub-$15,000 RWD used-car discussion. Is there anything worth buying in this price bracket in today's economy?
