2012 Buick Lacross Premium 1 Awd Sedan , Leather, Immuculate, One Owner on 2040-cars
Dayton, Ohio, United States
GOOD DAY, MY NAME IS BUCK MEADOWS AND I OFFER VEHICLES FOR SALE THRU A SMALL CHRISTIAN DEALERSHIP (MARANATHA CAR CO) IN DAYTON OHIO. I AM A RETIRED AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER, AND THIS IS MY WAY OF SUPLEMENTING (NOT ALWAYS) MY PENSION. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE CAR INDUSTRY SINCE I CAN REMEMBER. THAT SAID, I SPECIALIZE IN LATE MODEL, MODERATE MILE, CLEAN CARS COMING OFF LEASE FROM THE OUTSIDE SALES INDUSTRY. THESE CARS ARE MOSTLY USED BY SALES PEOPLE CALLING ON DIFFERENT BUSINESSES OVER A WIDE AREA. FOR INSTANCE MY SISTER-IN-LAW CALLED ON DOCTORS, NURSING HOMES, ETC OVER A LARGE PORTION OF WV. IT WAS COMMON FOR HER TO TRAVEL OVER 50,000 MILES PER YEAR, BUT MOST OF IT WAS AT CRUISING SPEED @ 2200 RPM ON THE ENGINE. THE RESULT, VERY LOW WEAR ON THE CAR! PLUS, NO PAINT WORK AND ONE OWNER CAR. I ALSO RAN AN AUTO CHECK REPORT AND NO ACCIDENTS REPORTED. THIS BUICK IS IN THAT CATEGORY. IT SHOWS HARDLY ANY WEAR, AND IS AS TIGHT AS A DRUM. NO RATTLES, NO LEAKS, AS CLEAN AS A PIN, AND RUNS LIKE IVORY SOAP, 99.9 % PURE. I'M BEGINING TO SOUND LIKE A CIRCUS BARKER, BUT I AM SERIOUS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED WITH THIS CAR. TO TOP THAT OUT LOOK FURTHER AT THE PRICE I CAN SELL IT FOR. I LOOKED UP THE PRICE ON THIS CAR AND IT STICKERED IN THE HIGH $30's. I BOUGHT IT LAST WEEK AND THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE HI 20'S AND THERE WERE VERY FEW BUYERS THERE. I GOT A VERY GOOD DEAL, BECAUSE IT WAS COVERED WITH SNOW AND THE SELLER THOUGHT IT WAS THE BASE MODEL RATHER THAN THE PREMIUM MODEL. I CAN ALSO PROVIDE A VERY COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE FOR A NOMINAL FEE. IT WILL COVER QUITE A BIT MORE THAN THE DRIVE TRAIN ONLY POLICY. WILL SEND YOU DETAILS ON REQUEST. PER E-BAY RULES, THIS CAR IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WRITTEN, SUGGESTED OR IMPLIED

GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.
GM earnings rise 1% as buyers pay more for popular pickups
Thu, Aug 1 2019DETROIT — General Motors said Thursday that higher prices for popular pickup trucks and SUVs helped overcome slowing global sales and profit rose by 1% in the second quarter. The Detroit automaker said it made $2.42 billion, or $1.66 per share, from April through June. Adjusting for restructuring costs, GM made $1.64 per share, blowing by analyst estimates of $1.44. Quarterly revenue fell 2% to $36.06 billion, but still beat estimates. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $35.97 billion. Global sales fell 6% to 1.94 million vehicles led by declines in North America and Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The company says sales in China were weak, and it expects that to continue through the year. In the United States, customers paid an average of $41,461 for a GM vehicle during the quarter, an increase of 2.2%, as buyers went for loaded-out pickups and SUVs, according to the Edmunds.com auto pricing site. The U.S. is GM's most profitable market. Chief Financial Officer Dhivya Suryadevara said she expects the strong pricing to continue, especially as GM rolls out a diesel pickup and new heavy-duty trucks in the second half of the year. "We think the fundamentals do remain strong, especially in the truck market," she said, adding that strength in the overall economy and aging trucks now on the road should help keep the trend going. Light trucks accounted for 83.1% of GM's sales in the quarter, and pickup truck sales rose 8.5% as GM transitioned to new models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, according to Edmunds, which provides content to The Associated Press. As usual, GM made most of its money in North America, reporting $3 billion in pretax earnings. International operations including China broke even, while the company spent $300 million on its GM Cruise automated vehicle unit. Its financial arm made $500 million in pretax income. Suryadevara said GM saw $700 million in savings during the quarter from restructuring actions announced late last year that included cutting about 8,000 white-collar workers through layoffs, buyouts and early retirements. The company also announced plans to close five North American factories, shedding another 6,000 jobs. About 3,000 factory workers in the U.S. whose jobs were eliminated at four plants will be placed at other factories, but they could have to relocate. GM expects the restructuring to generate $2 billion to $2.5 billion in annual cost savings by the end of this year.
Buick Regal, Hyundai Sonata
Mon, Apr 17 2017Toyota is ramping up production of an all-new 2018 Camry and spending over $1 billion – with a "b" – at its Georgetown, Ky., plant. That investment speaks to the popularity of midsize sedans, despite sales inroads made by crossovers. While Accord and Camry are givens in the segment, less attention is paid to Buick's Regal and Hyundai's Sonata. And if shopping for a midsize sedan with a $30,000 budget, you should pay attention. Both offer a compelling combination of attributes and can be well equipped for that price point. Finally, both are due for either a major redesign (Regal) or aggressive freshening (Sonata) in the 2018 model year. Both Buick and Hyundai will be offering incentives 2017s, but Hyundai's program is more aggressive, with up to $6,000 in savings (as this is written). BUICK REGAL: For those seeking exclusivity at well below an "exclusive" price, there is the Regal. Designed by GM's Opel as the Insignia, the version sold stateside keeps most of its Eurocentric nature. It doesn't pretend to be an Audi or BMW, but it provides something more German than Volkswagen's Germany-by-way-of-Tennessee Passat. A Regal, in all-wheel-drive 'Regal' trim, supplies you with a turbocharged 2.0 liter and 6-speed automatic transmission. Its 259 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque propel the 3,600-pound Regal with authority and respectable efficiency. Despite its relatively low curb weight, the Regal feels substantial, with a heavy feel behind the wheel and a quiet authority going down the road. Inside, you'll find an interesting mix of Old World and New Detroit, with informative gauges, a center stack that dominates the instrument panel, supportive buckets up front and a reasonably spacious rear seat. The Regal's interior volume is respectable (97 cubic feet inside, while the trunk has 14 cubic feet), but this remains a better environment for young families or empty nesters. Those with a lot of kids or stuff should shop Buick's about-to-be-redesigned Enclave or midsize Envision. For the 2017 model year, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been added. The Driver Confidence 1 package (optional) includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Following Distance Indicator and memory seats. Driver Confidence 2 has Collision Preparation with Collision Mitigation Braking and Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control. It's all good stuff.
