Up for auction is my 1986 buick grand national. I bought this car just over a year ago and it is a very nice car, i am selling it because i bought another grand national. The previous owner told me the car had 33,000 miles but i cannot be 100% sure this is accurate so i will let you make your own assumption.
The Exterior The car could use a paint job to make it a show car but it is not to bad the way it is. You could definitely drive it the way it is and enjoy it. The paint is faded behind the passenger quarter glass (see pics) The car has one noticeable ding on driver side quarter panel (see pic) Both of the doors have one rust bubble on the very corner of the door you can barley notice it. Other than that the car is very very clean. I would rate the paint and body 7.5/10. It is very straight and the panels all line up great. The interior The interior is just about perfect, the seats are in great condition no rips or tears. I would rate the interior a 9.5/10 The engine runs great, no leaks. The engine is stock. Problems with the car The power locks don't work. The car has a power steering leak, i have not looked into it. Overall this car runs and drives good and is a very nice car, My reserve price is going to be set for what i bought the car for last year. Please don't ask me what my reserve price is. Buick Verano to go turbo-only for 2014?
Sat, 22 Dec 2012If VIN tags recently posted online prove accurate, the 2014 Buick Verano may be getting a new base engine. Presently the Verano makes use of GM's 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine in non-turbo trim; 2014 documentation appears to indicate that GM's entry-level luxury compact will instead feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged mill.
If this is the same engine seen in Europe, GM Inside News suggests it may offer 192 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque - useful improvements over the larger naturally aspirated mill's 180 hp and 171 lb-ft. More importantly, the downsized engine would likely improve on the Verano's current fuel mileage estimates of 21 city and 31 highway.
We like the Verano in both of its current iterations, but the 1.6 turbo engine sounds like a worthwhile upgrade if this reports turns out to be true. Plus, if more performance is your bag, baby, there's always the Verano's optional 2.0 turbo engine with an impressive 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft from just 2.0 liters of displacement.
GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models
Thu, 06 Jun 2013A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."
