This is a 1976 Buick Century Regal Replica Pace car with 40,257 original miles. It was purchased new and never driven much just sat in a garage with a cover over it which is included with the sale. It started life as a fully equipped Regal S/R including power steering and brakes, power windows and door locks, power bucket seats with recliners, tilt steering, air conditioning (converted to R134A and is ice cold), cruise control (works great), speed warning, AM/FM cassette (also works), I added a trunk mounted FM modulated CD changer and replaced the old factory speakers with new Polk Audio 6X9's in the back and 5X7 in the front. I also added a hidden amplifier under the rear package tray and the whole system sounds great. All power options are in excellent working order and the car is also equipped with Hurst Hatch T-Tops which are in perfect condition and don't leak or have any wind noise. There is a factory Hurst box in the trunk to hold the T-Tops when they are off the car so you can take them with you and all the original literature from Hurst. All the rubber seals and weatherstripping are in perfect condition with no cracking or leaking. The car also came factory equipped with the space saver inflatable spare and has the inflator bottle with it as well as factory equipped superlift air shocks which are in great shape and hold air well with no leaks. The car was repainted about three years ago in two stage base/clear original pewter grey metallic and all of the pace car decals were meticulously reproduced and are in perfect condition. The pictures show the car with the original Buick Rally wheels with Goodyear Eagle II tires and also with a set of 15X8 and 15X10 Cragar SS wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The car will come with the factory wheels but the Cragars will be extra if you want them as well. The engine starts, idles, and runs smooth and the transmission shifts cleanly and smoothly as well. There are NO fluid leaks at all under the car and No rust anywhere either as the car was never driven in cold or rainy weather. It runs, drives, stops, smells and feels like a brand new car still and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. There is a new exhaust system from the cat back with a flowmaster muffler that is still very quiet but has a nice low rumble to it. Other than that, everything is stock as equipped from the factory. I also have the original build sheet, dealers brochure, owners manual, specification sheet, 1976 Buick press release kit, copies of letters from Buick motor division to the dealer network introducing the pace car option, dealer order form, Buick public relations press photos and letters, original advertising, one ticket to the 1976 Indianapolis 500 60th annual race that was paced by the Buick equipped with a V6 for the first time and there is a pit and press pass and souvenir program also. Buick maintenance schedule, warranty information, consumer information booklet, Buick accessories catalog, exterior color chart, dealer price guide with leather folder, Buick product information booklets and several old magazines from 1976 featuring the Buick pace car. This is a really low mileage and unique car and you will be virtually guaranteed not to see another one driving down the street or at a car show. It gets a lot of looks and stares when I drive it and people are constantly asking me about it. I can help with shipping if you need a car carrier and also have additional pictures including the trunk and under side so just e-mail me if you would like them or have any questions.

2025 Buick Enclave changes trim names and pricing
Sun, Jun 2 2024Buick loves to fiddle with its trim names. In 2020, the Enclave offered Base, Essence, Premium and Avenir trims. Two years later, the trim steps went Preferred, Essence, Premium and Avenir. Two years later, in 2022, only Essence, Premium, and Avenir remained. And the 2025 Enclave has done another presto change-o, with Essense becoming Preferred, and Premium switching to Sport Touring. And while we knew that, what we didn't know were the prices for these reshuffled trims, which GM Authority sniffed out. MSRPs for the 2025 Enclave after the $1,395 destination charge, and their differences from 2024, are: Preferred: $46,395 ($1,100) Sport Touring: $48,795 (New trim) Avenir: $59,395 ($500) These are all front-drivers, sending power to the rear wheels adds $2,000 to the price. The Sport Touring costs $2,490 more than the entry-level Preferred, nearly 40% more than the current option price. Also, since it's a spiffier version of the Preferred, the Sport Touring is $3,800 less than the current middle trim, the 2024 Enclave Premium.   Mechanically, the Enclave gets the same turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder as the Acadia and Traverse as its sole engine option. Output comes to 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, sent through an eight-speed automatic. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds, All Enclaves except the Avenir get a standard 30-inch instrument and infotainment display, floating center console, adjustable ambient lighting, wireless device charging and a 12-speaker. The range-topper takes the sound system to 16 speakers, adds a panoramic sunroof, front seat ventilation and massage function, rear seat heating, a head-up display, plus adaptive shocks working larger 22-inch wheels. The Sport Touring (ST), as one might expect, adopts black trim, including in the grille, and black 20-inch wheels. Buick added standard ADAS perks like automatic emergency braking with intersection support, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, plus lane-keep assist as standard. And Super Cruise will be an option. All told, it's a healthy improvement in features for relatively small price increases.
Don't buy that crossover! Buy a cladded wagon instead!
Fri, Nov 10 2017If you're looking to buy a car soon, and you're like most Americans, there's a strong chance you're considering buying a crossover SUV. That's what people want nowadays. People like the tough, tall exterior that suggests adventure and preparedness, they like the high seating position, they like the all wheel drive many have and they like the practicality. Because of this, crossovers have rapidly supplanted typical cars such as sedans, wagons, and more as the most popular vehicles in the country. But they're compromised, too. They're often heavy, thirsty, and expensive compared with more conventional cars. The good news is, there's an alternative, a happy medium between the straight crossover and the traditional car. They're lifted wagons, and they're the best crossover SUVs around. And for those who may not know what we're talking about, we're talking about cars and wagons that have been given a suspension lift for more ground clearance and a higher ride height, and often have all wheel drive standard or optional. They also usually have chunky plastic body cladding to make them look tough and durable. Examples include the Subaru Crosstrek, Audi A4 Allroad, Buick Regal TourX, and Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, among others. Because of the suspension and body modifications, these vehicles fit the trendy crossover mold quite well. And in the case of long-running nameplates such as the Subaru Outback and Volvo Cross Country models, they even have some heritage as outdoorsy machines. They also provide the higher driving position that crossover buyers love. And in some cases, such as with the Golf Alltrack, we've learned they offer better ride quality than their road-oriented siblings. View 9 Photos So these tall wagons offer the key things crossover buyers want, but what makes them better than traditional crossovers is that they have the advantages of the cars they're based on. For instance, the aforementioned Golf Alltrack still drives mostly like a Golf, which is to say, it's nimble, feels peppy, and is easy to maneuver because of its relatively small size. We can't really say the same for the Tiguan, which feels generally more sluggish and uninteresting than the Alltrack. And we mention Volkswagen's compact crossover because it starts at nearly the same price as the Alltrack. Some of the difference in giddy-up can be explained by weight. Normal crossovers can be fairly portly, while these lifted wagons are notably lighter.
