This auction is for three cars and they all are 1936 Buicks. One is a model 66c four passenger century 2 door convertible coupe with rumble seat, one is a model 48 five passenger special 2 door victoria coupe with built in trunk, and the other one is a model 61 five passenger century 4 door with built in trunk. I have clear N.D. titles for the convertible and sedan, the four door I think would only be good for parts because the passenger side is all rotten. I have had the convertible in storage for the last 17 years and have decided it's time to part with these projects. Production figures for the convertible were 717 made with 49 of those exported, my guess would be that there are only a handful of these left. I believe all the main metal parts are there for the convertible top along with a few extra metal pieces added over the years. I pulled the motor out of the convertible and I still have it but it would be only for parts because of a major crack from being frozen. Now realize these all need major work, have wood in the doors so the wood has dried up and where the metal hinges attach to the wood it's (wood) loose or gone completely. The center metal hinge on the hoods are also broke. You can move the convertible around with man power or a rope (rolling chassis). As you can see in the pictures, over the years I have picked up a lot of extra parts including but not limited too extra interior door handles and window hardware, a nos grille, this is not as nice as an original because it's cast aluminum but still nice and other misc items. I also have the cars for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early and you can call with any questions 701-837-7907 and scammers don't waste your time or mine. Only bid if you are serious, and if you do buy these and there is something you don't want your are welcome to leave it, I'll take care of it. I will load for free but you have to work with me because I might be busy trucking, don't worry about getting these moved right away, they can stay here for a while, no problem. These are located at Minot, N.D                                                                            Key words: 36 buick convertible  36 buick special 1936 buick century rag top roadster street rod vintage original fixer upper needs work needs repair

Here's a little interesting statement I found online:

1936 Buick Century

In 1936 Buick renamed its entire model line-up in Celebration of it's improvements and advancements from the earlier model years. The Buick Century was born in 1936 as it took the place of the Series"60" model. The new Buick Century was created by combining the shorter wheelbase.

Buick Special with the eight-cylinder engine and a better higher performance caused the Century to soon be nicknamed "the banker's hotrod" as it was one of the fastest Buick’s of it's era in the late 30's.

Hi, A potential buyer pointed out that maybe all the parts for the convertible top are not here. It looks like maybe (from the pictures he sent) that one bow is missing and like a flat piece on each side is missing. I wil include everything I have for the cars but please realize you are buying what you see, less trees, land, and other none car related items of course. This same person said they used the same top from 1936 to 1942.

2013 Buick Verano Turbo vs. 2013 Acura ILX 2.4

Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.

2018 Buick Regal GS First Drive Review | More power, style and doors

Wed, Mar 7 2018

During our test-drive of the 2018 Regal GS, Buick took us to Atlanta Motorsports Park and hired stunt drivers to teach us mild-mannered journalists how to do a J-turn. It's an emergency maneuver, also known as a Rockford, in which the car reverses at full speed, spins 180 degrees and takes off in the exact opposite direction from where it was headed. It symbolized perfectly Buick's hopes for the Regal GS, its most ambitious attempt yet at a bona fide American sports sedan. Buick is trying to shake off decades of stigma as a maker of grandpa-spec wafters. Since 2008, it has been rebadging the Opel Insignia, developed by GM's German subsidiary and built in Russelsheim, as the Regal. In 2012, Buick revived the Regal GS badge, providing power from a 2.0-liter turbo four, initially at 270 horsepower but then detuned to 259 hp in 2014 as AWD was introduced. Buick had high hopes of challenging the luxury greats, and while the previous Regal GS received good reviews as a genuine sports sedan, it never really caught on in the marketplace. Buick took a risk by redefining the brand, but ultimately, it wasn't quite successful enough to be uttered in the same breath as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. The 2018 Regal GS doubles down on that lofty goal with a better-fleshed-out version of the outgoing car. It returns with improved styling and even more power, courtesy of a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 generating 310 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. In other words, the new GS is up 40 horses, but down 13 lb-ft with an engine that comes straight from the GM parts bin. Within GM, it is known as the "High Feature" engine, used in everything from Cadillacs to V6 Camaros to the GMC Acadia. Autoblog has knocked this engine on refinement but generally praised its power, so it's a mixed bag. On the Regal GS, though, the drivetrain exhibited a marked improvement on the refinement front. Buick spokesperson Stuart Fowle attributed this to the new nine-speed automatic it's mated to, a quick and smooth-shifting transmission well-programmed to keep the engine at optimal revs. The result deviates quite a bit from the Opel Insignia, which maxes out with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four good for 197 horses and 300 lb-ft. With turbo 2.0-liter fours now the de facto entry-level engine for most luxury carmakers, having the 3.6-liter V6 makes the 2018 Regal GS more distinctive, a bit more American and less of a European copy-paste job than its predecessor.

2016 Buick Cascada convertible isn't afraid of Detroit's snow

Mon, Jan 12 2015

It's the great irony of introducing a convertible in Detroit – while the assembled media might look at the car and imagine warm weather and clear skies, the atmosphere outside is anything but. Such was the case Sunday as Buick rolled out the 2016 Cascada in Detroit's Eastern Market. Snow didn't dampen the atmosphere, though, as we clapped eyes on the sleek, Astra-based convertible for the first time. While this is far from the first product Buick has borrowed from General Motors' European operations, unlike previous vehicles, changes for the Cascada were kept to a minimum. There is no waterfall grille or four-way portholes, which Buick was sure to install when converting the Insignia and Mokka to the Regal and Encore. Then again, neither of these styling treatments were really necessary, as the Cascada remains a handsome and stylish offering. Its cabin is typical of other Buicks, and features a few too many buttons on the center stack. Still, a thick-rimmed, flat-bottomed steering wheel, similar to what's found in the Verano, is both attractive and functional, while the perforated leather seats looks quite comfortable, as well. Take a look at our gallery of live images, which includes shots of the Cascada with the top up and down, and then head back to our original post on the new convertible for all the mechanical details.
