1972 Buci Skylark Gs 455 Numbers Matching on 2040-cars

The 1972 GS and GS 455 would be the last of Buick’s muscle car line until the Grand National ten years later. While no single year of this generation of Buick GS sold particularly well in their day, they are now remembered as one of GM’s premier muscle cars 1972 Car Of The Year - Buick GS 455 My 1972 GS will not disappoint!!! This is a NUMBERS MATCHING 455 True GS. Do your research and come look at my car. This GS started it's life in California and stayed within the family and made it's way to Michigan after the original passed away. The car has only 24k original miles and has been documented by different appraisers to be sure. The car was bought by a local dealer who specializes in restoring Buick GSs. I begged him to sell me this car and sold my 1965 GS to buy this DREAM CAR!!!. I had this car professionally restored with a frame on restoration. The motor was freshened up and now has the same compression and horse power of a 1970 GS455. This car is a monster. I had it painted the original color just with a touch more metal flake for a better appearance in the sun, I also added correct GSX stripes to blend in the white top and interior. I have the Radio out of the car as I just have not installed it back in after the car was put back together. This is a RARE FIND. I challenge you to find another GS in this condition. I changed the tires from 14'' to 15'' and tires are brand new. The only thing this car may need is to have the carbonator adjusted as when it is cold it starts hard, but we don't drive the car when it is cold so it never really bothered me. Reason for selling the car is simply I have a new baby at home and I just don't have the time to use it. My son will be one in June and last year I decided to prove that I could still do both, have a family and enjoy my toys. I was wrong, I drove my car to two car shows where I spent a few hours each time before going home to spend time with my son. I rather this car to go someone that will use it to show off and enjoy, which is the purpose of restoring these gems. I have A LOT into this car so who ever wins this will not disappointed. Come and inspect this, send an inspector you will be impressed. Any questions please feel free to call now or after you purchase it. 315.345.9605 Mario Comes with a NYS DMV Registration for Proof of Ownership |

2013 Buick Encore nets strong IIHS, NHTSA safety scores
Wed, 05 Jun 2013After being crushed from every which way and rolled over like a labrador, the 2013 Buick Encore has been named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. To earn the accolade, a vehicle must achieve the highest rating of "Good" in each of the institute's four main crash tests: Front Moderate Overlap, Side, Rollover and Rear. The Encore aced those four tests with "Good" ratings, but missed out on the coveted Top Safety Pick+ designation by receiving a Poor rating in the institute's new Front Small Overlap test. To be named a Top Safety Pick+, the Encore would need to score at least an "Acceptable" rating in the new test, as well as "Good" in all four original crash tests.
Despite the miss, the Encore joins the Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal as Top Safety Picks all. If you count only the Encore with all-wheel drive, then all five Buicks have also earned five-star overall ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminstration, making Buick one of the few manufacturers to offer a full lineup with high scores from both safety rating organizations.
The front-wheel-drive Encore, despite performing equally as well as the all-wheel-drive version in NHTSA's crash tests, only earned four stars overall. As far as we can tell, the discrepancy between the two is because some safety equipment, like Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Assist, are optional features on the FWD Encore and standard on the AWD model.
2018 Buick Regal GS First Drive Review | More power, style and doors
Wed, Mar 7 2018During our test-drive of the 2018 Regal GS, Buick took us to Atlanta Motorsports Park and hired stunt drivers to teach us mild-mannered journalists how to do a J-turn. It's an emergency maneuver, also known as a Rockford, in which the car reverses at full speed, spins 180 degrees and takes off in the exact opposite direction from where it was headed. It symbolized perfectly Buick's hopes for the Regal GS, its most ambitious attempt yet at a bona fide American sports sedan. Buick is trying to shake off decades of stigma as a maker of grandpa-spec wafters. Since 2008, it has been rebadging the Opel Insignia, developed by GM's German subsidiary and built in Russelsheim, as the Regal. In 2012, Buick revived the Regal GS badge, providing power from a 2.0-liter turbo four, initially at 270 horsepower but then detuned to 259 hp in 2014 as AWD was introduced. Buick had high hopes of challenging the luxury greats, and while the previous Regal GS received good reviews as a genuine sports sedan, it never really caught on in the marketplace. Buick took a risk by redefining the brand, but ultimately, it wasn't quite successful enough to be uttered in the same breath as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. The 2018 Regal GS doubles down on that lofty goal with a better-fleshed-out version of the outgoing car. It returns with improved styling and even more power, courtesy of a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 generating 310 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. In other words, the new GS is up 40 horses, but down 13 lb-ft with an engine that comes straight from the GM parts bin. Within GM, it is known as the "High Feature" engine, used in everything from Cadillacs to V6 Camaros to the GMC Acadia. Autoblog has knocked this engine on refinement but generally praised its power, so it's a mixed bag. On the Regal GS, though, the drivetrain exhibited a marked improvement on the refinement front. Buick spokesperson Stuart Fowle attributed this to the new nine-speed automatic it's mated to, a quick and smooth-shifting transmission well-programmed to keep the engine at optimal revs. The result deviates quite a bit from the Opel Insignia, which maxes out with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four good for 197 horses and 300 lb-ft. With turbo 2.0-liter fours now the de facto entry-level engine for most luxury carmakers, having the 3.6-liter V6 makes the 2018 Regal GS more distinctive, a bit more American and less of a European copy-paste job than its predecessor.
Buick shows off new Ultra Luxury Interior for LaCrosse
Sun, 27 Apr 2014The options sheet of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse gets all kinds of fancy with the addition of the Ultra Luxury Interior. Pointing its Tri-Shield logo at the world of haute luxury, the cabin treatment combines sangria leather with ebony accents, shadow tamo ash wood trim and a microsuede headliner to "drive fashion forward."
You'll need to start with LaCrosse models with the 3.6-liter V6 and either the Leather, Premium or Premium II trims to go all Brioni and Buckingham on the cabin, and the privilege package will run you $2,495. We're told that you won't find such contrasting hues anywhere else in the class, though, and that kind of exclusivity might make any price a bargain.
You can find more information on the Ultra Luxury Interior in the press release below, along with some intensely fashion-foward gobbledygook.
