This is a 1971 Buick skylark custom convertible with an olds 455 rocket motor. There is 95 k on the car and the motor has around 2500 miles on it. This car has a new dual flow master exhaust, top end rebuilt 455, new convertible top, new pistons and hydraulic lines for the convertible top, new interior , The ignition has been rebuilt, new alt, new brake booster and master cylinder, new heavy duty aluminum radiator, new tires, new ball joints, new rubber seals all around the convertible top, widow pillars, window sweeps, hood cowl, trunk, door seals, lock seals, carpet, oil pressure gauge, volt gauge, temp gauge, carpet in trunk. The car has a lot of power and runs and shift out smooth, The top is electric and works like a charm and the car does not run hot and there's no jerk when it shifts and the car has a system as well with two 12 inch J L competition audio in a box and six 6 inch speakers throughout the car with dual tweeters up front powered by an alpine deck. The rims are lexani 22 inch rims with continental tires. Ok so here is some things that are minor, but u should know paint has some chips and scratches and the bumpers need the plastic cap gasket that snap in. The old ones where removed when the bumpers where re chromed. There is a dent in the rear quarter panel. . The back window needs a quarter window chrome peace for the window. The passenger side has one and not the drivers side i All of the windows are power and work great and they need a slight adjustment as far as how they slide into the new gaskets we installed. The owner before me replaced the floor pans and had the name yo buck embroidered into the head rest.and he removed the A/C compressor, when he rebuilt the motor, but all of the A/c lines are still in places. This is all i know of that the car needs in which is minor considering the year of the car and the amount of work that has already been done.I am honest on all that i know and you may inspect the car before bidding and you are welcome to bring a mechanic as well to look over the car before bidding not after. The car is drove almost every other day and very road worthy and solid and catches a lot of attention when driving. This car has had a lot of money put in it and has not been treated like a hot rod. the car does not smoke or burn oil. and like i said jump in and go. The rims ride pretty smooth also and if you wanted to change them back to the originals it would cost around 800 with tires and you could sell these for a lot more. Ok so thats all the good and bad and this is the condition of the sale if you have a low score or no score please contact me before bidding and there will be a $ 1,000 deposit at the end of the auction. If you need the car shipped i can help with driving the car up on the car transport trailer and it will be up to you to make the arrangement with the shipping company.. I also wanted to place this in the ad that if you are planning on buying this car for a student in school please understand this car has a lot of power and needs to be expressed to them for there safety and others and hot rodding will only tear the car up and it's meant to cruise in. well other than that very fun car and nothing like dropping the top and hitting the road on a sunny day to cruise around listing to the rumble of an old muscle car.. Please feel free to ask any questions and if u need pictures of something i missed send me a message and ill get a picture to you. I am up for cash offers as well. The car will be up for sale in the local area and if it is sold that will end any auction in progress.!

Meet the Buick Velite 7, the Chevy Bolt's Chinese cousin
Wed, Jun 17 2020The Buick Velite 7 has officially been revealed after having been leaked and spied a few months ago. The name derives from Buick's line of electrified models it sells in China, of course the design shows it's most closely related to the Chevy Bolt EV. Buick hasn't revealed many details about it, and only one photo, but we do get to see it and we also have a range estimate. The range estimate is 500 kilometers on the NEDC cycle, which translates to 311 miles. That's actually less than the NEDC estimate for the Bolt EV, which is 565 kilometers or 351 miles, which increased for the 2020 model year from 520 kilometers or 323 miles. Of course NEDC figures tend to be much higher than EPA numbers, which rated the current Bolt EV at 259 miles and the previous version at 238. As such, we would expect this Buick to have an EPA range closer to 210 to 220 miles. We don't know what resulted in the lower range, but it could have something to do with additional weight or slightly worse aerodynamics. It could be both. Design-wise, the Buick is clearly based on the Bolt, but has a more aggressive front bumper and a trendy partially floating roof. It also seems to have a slightly boxier, taller profile, mainly because of the nose. Buick hasn't released any other details about the crossover, preferring to save them for the car's launch later this year. Since it seems so closely related to the Bolt, it probably has the same drivetrain: a single electric motor sending 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a single-speed transmission. Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
