THIS CAR IS A RARE FIND FOR LOW MILEAGE FANATICS. 24,458 DOCUMENTED GARAGE KEPT MILES. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE FROM 69 ALONG WITH ALL DOCS TO VERIFY MILEAGE. THIS CAR WAS RECENTLY PURCHASED FROM A 95 YEAR OLD COUPLE. THE MAN BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR HIS WIFE AND THEY HAD NO KIDS. I HAVE OVER 100 PICTURES AND CAN TAKE MORE OF SPECIFIC AREAS IF REQUESTED. I'VE GONE OVER THIS CAR WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB AND KNOW EVERY ASPECT OF IT. I'VE BEEN A BUICK BUFF FOR 30 YEARS. INTERIOR IMMACULANT WITH EXCEPTION OF PAINT BELOW KEY LOCK CYLINDER ON STEERING COLUMN. NOT A SINGLE CRACK IN THE STEERING WHEEL. ASH TRAY AND LIGHTER NEVER USED THESE PEOPLE WERE NON SMOKERS. NOT ONE RIPPLE OR STAIN IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE TRAY. HEADLINER MINT. NOT ONE STITCH LOOSE IN THE ENTIRE INTERIOR. THE CHROME PLATING ON THE PLASTIC INTERIOR PIECES IS LIKE NEW. AMAZINGLY RUST FREE TOP TO BOTTOM SIDE TO SIDE. HAS A FEW MINOR DINGS AND SCRATCHES THE WORST DING PICTURED ON DRIVERS FENDER. CHROME IS STUPENDOUSLY SHINY AND NOT ONE PIT ANYWHERE A TRUE TIME CAPSULE. STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL DELCO SPIRAL SHOCKS AND THE NEGATIVE BATTERY SPRING RING TERMINAL. EVERY PIECE OF WEATHER STRIPPING IS CRACK FREE AND SUPPLE. VINYL TOP IS ORIGINAL AND NOT ONE PRETENCE OF A RUST BUBBLE UNDERNEATH. CAR IS COMPLETLY ORIGINAL EXCEPT I CANT SAY FOR SURE IF THE PAINT IS OR NOT. THERE'S NO PAINT ON TRIM FROM POOR MASKING AND THE TRIM SCREWS AND NUTS APPEAR TO BE NEVER TURNED. THERE'S NO D/A SANDING SCUFFS ON THE TRIM OR LOOSE TRIM BUT FOR THE SAKE OF BEING MORE ACCURATE I'M GOING TO SAY IT WAS REPAINTED BECAUSE THE PAINT JUST SHINES TO PRETTY. THE GASKETS FOR DOOR HANDLES, LOCK CYLIDERS AND MARKER LIGHTS ARE PRESENT AND STILL GOOD. HAS 3 BF GOODRICH BOGUS PLY TIRES, 2 ON THE REAR AND 1 AS A SPARE. HAS THE ORIGINAL DELCO SPIRAL SHOCKS AND THE SPRING RING NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. RUNS DRIVES SHIFTS STEERS LIKE A TOP. 2018 Buick Regal TourX First Drive Review | Pop the champagne, it's another wagon!

Tue, Jan 30 2018

As a newborn member of an endangered species, we should probably pop open the Dom to fete the arrival of the 2018 Buick Regal TourX. It's a wagon, after all, and if there's anything we automotive writers have been clamoring for is more wagons. "Forget those SUVs," we've implored. "This wagon over here is better! Just as much cargo space, better to drive! And have you seen it in brown?" Well, it seems like our collective proselytizing is starting to pay off, or perhaps far more likely, consumer tastes are shifting a bit to appreciate the wagon. Sure, they need to be lifted a bit and sport plastic fender flares to add a wee bit of SUV-ish flavor, but who the hell cares? Beggars, choosers, etc. It's a wagon, and we should be happy it's here. And we are, the Regal TourX is a pretty good one that thankfully offers more than just its mere existence. It especially delivers on the space front, which is refreshing since most of today's wagons are not as cargo friendly as the collective "we" would like to admit. An Audi Q5 regrettably does have more cargo space than an Audi A4 Allroad. Yet, the TourX has more than both – considerably more in fact, coming in at a certifiably huge 73.5 cubic feet of maximum space. The difference is palpable between it and the 53.5-cubic-foot Allroad, which Buick considers the TourX's closest competitor. As the below video (somewhat) demonstrates, I was able to cram 12 Patagonia duffle bags into the Allroad, filling up most of the cabin. The same amount in the TourX left tons of residual space, you could still see out the back and loading it all in didn't require a degree in Advanced Tetris. There's also a far more useful amount of space with the back seat raised (32.7 vs. 24.2). That area is especially lengthy, and with the large rear quarter windows and reasonably square roofline, it should be a good choice for dog owners. There's no built-in dog net behind the back seat as you'll find in the Allroad and BMW 3 Series wagon (you'd have to go the aftermarket route), but your four-legged buddy should at least appreciate the lower liftover/jump-aboard height. Which brings us to the next wagon benefit: the lower roof height. According to Buick's marketing folks, people who buy off-roadish wagons like the Regal TourX are far more likely to actually live the outdoorsy active lifestyles the owners of SUVs usually only envision for themselves.

Buick asks design students 'What could a Buick sedan look like in 2030?'

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

When you think of daring concept cars or emotional design-student projects, Buick probably isn't the first brand that comes to mind. It's not for lack of concepts; when General Motors ran down 11 concept-car highlights from Buick's 110-year history, three of them are from the past 15 years, with other experiments in that same timeframe like the Black Hawk, Centieme and Cielo left unmentioned.
But the company still thinks about them even if we don't. It ran a contest for students at Detroit's College for Creative Studies to create a Buick for the year 2030 that would incorporate future materials and transportation needs, and nanotechnology.
Best exterior design went to Sam Kenny for his Neo Classical Buick, Justin Salmon took honors for innovative material use, like having exposed algae on the bodyshell to generate energy, and Namsuk Lee nabbed best overall concept and best interior for his Buick Vision Sedan. You can read more about the design challenge and winners in the press release, and hear students talk about what went into the work in the video below.

Opel to be shuttered in China, but will restart Buick production in Germany

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

Opel, General Motors' troubled German brand continues its quest to reinvent itself and find solid profitability. In the course of that metamorphosis, the company has a bit of good news/bad news today. The good news is, it will once again begin screwing together Buick models for the American market. The bad news, though, is that it's being shut down in yet another country, China.
Let's start with the good news. The last vehicle Opel's Ruesselsheim factory built for the North American market was the early run of the then-new Regal, which is based heavily on the Opel Insignia. Production ran for just over two years, from 2009 to 2011, before moving production to Oshawa, Ontario.
Now, thanks to a 245-million-euro investment (just over $336 million), Opel will kick off production of a unspecified model for the US in the "second half of the decade," according to Automotive News. According to Opel, the new model will be announced before the end of 2014. You can begin your speculation about this new model down in Comments (we're wagering it'll be the Cascada convertible, sold here under the Buick umbrella).
