PLEASE read all details good and bad on this car.

We have owned for just over 3 years. We keep pretty good care of it doing basic maintenance when due. The motor and tranny run strong, never had any issues. Car drives AWESOME In the winter. I went through some major snow storms with this car. Was in Sasakachwan Canada with it in Dec 2010 and it was COLD...while everyone elce was plugged in, I could not as does not have block heater, car started RIGHT UP the next morning at -30 below. Very impressed with it. Has 90% highway miles on it, yes miles are high but runs great......is still our daily work driver but we are buying prperty which needs a 4x4 to get to so the car needs to be sold to buy a 4x4.

It needs a tune up here soon. I will include that in this auction upon completion of the sale before you pick it up. Will need some new rubber soon. The fender on passanger side got damaged by a friend, whom replaced it but did not set it in pefect so the door would rub againts it when opened...did this for some time and did some more damage, not major. It's hard to tell in a picture but it is not creased, just pushed in and easy to straighten back out. This is why we are selling cheap and there is a NR on this car. I am sure it is an easy fix and does not make the car look bad. Also needs a little muffler work where sits into cataletic converter...came loose. We can also have that done at the end of the sale and include in the final sale.

Also the previous owner had put in some sort of stero system, all the wires are still in tack for this. Car is CLEAN and has never been smoked in. The leather is good shape, no chips or cracks in any of the windows. Carpet is good and clean. Radio works so does CD player and tape deck. We bought a brand new gas pump for it thinking it was going bad, but then that is when the resister went and we replaced that and is fine. Will include the new pump if ever it is needed.

ABS (4-Wheel)

Power Windows
Power Seat driver side

The good on this car for sale is:

BRAND NEW breaks and rotor all the way around in Sept 2012
RAND NEW Serpentine belt and tension pulley put in Oct 2012
BRAND new struts put in March 2011
BRAND new front and rear bearings put in March 2011
BRAND NEW signal switch put in Sept 2012
BRAND NEW heater fan motor put in June 2012
GOOD glass all the way around, no chips or cracks
NEW Fuel pump resisiter put in Feb 2013.

The bad:

Needs glove box lock
Needs cup holder replaced
Needs pully and belt replaced for supercharger, runs fine with out it.
Needs tune up, but oil changes always done regular
Tires are almost 2 years old bought brand new but will need replaced at some point.
Fender on passenger side needs clips and re done. Friend hit the fender and tried to fix it but did not get the clips to make it sit right. It is on there just not perfect.

News anchor swaps his Roadmaster for a custom Buick Enclave Woody

Wed, Jul 10 2019

Dennis House, self-proclaimed car buff and Connecticut news anchor, thinks that with the impending launch of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, woodies will make their grand return to the car scene in modern fashion. House wanted to get ahead of the potential trend and decided to create a one-of-one woody wrap for his Buick Enclave. On the rear quarter panel of the custom SUV, an aftermarket badge reads "Enclave Estate Wagon." It's a direct call back to one of the vehicles that has inspired House's love of wood-paneled family haulers, the Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. House owns two Roadmasters, a black 1996 model and a 1995 woody. In making room for the Enclave, House has decided to sell the '96, which looks spotless and only has a bit more than 71,000 miles on the clock. According to GM Authority, who spotted House's Enclave, the look was achieved with a vinyl wrap. After exploring the idea of a first-gen Enclave woody or a Regal TourX woody, House decided the application worked best on a current Enclave. The mock-ups were done on the computer, and Scranton Cadillac Buick GMC completed the work. The wrap starts just beneath the headlights and wraps around the entire vehicle. Furthering the theme, House took a photo of the woody with a surfboard. For now, the woody look is not a factory option, but House hopes General Motors takes notice and considers offering the choice on future models. If not, just take your ride to Scranton Motors, and they could probably help you out.            View this post on Instagram                   What a cool new 2019 Buick Enclave for CT’s own Dennis House! Bob Seger's Detroit Made music video is an homage to the Motor City

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

At this point, Bob Seger feels like the living embodiment of old-school rock 'n' roll. The Michigan native has been strumming out classic records like Night Moves for decades, and he just released a new single called Detroit Made. It sounds like a future staple of just about every classic car show within the next few years, and the video is dedicated to the Motor City, past and future.
Detroit Made is all about cruising in the city in a classic Buick Electra 225, perhaps better known as a "deuce and a quarter." It's straight-down-the-middle rock and could just as easily be from a decades-old Seger album as something new.
The video for the new single mixes shots of American classics cruising along Woodward Avenue with a contemporary look at the city. Sure, there are the well-known dilapidated buildings falling into rubble, but the people there aren't just letting the city die. Other parts show the attempts to clean things up and rebuild. Check out the video if you need a few minutes of old school rockin' in your life.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Buick Reatta Coupe

Sun, Nov 6 2022

During the 1980s, General Motors worked hard to woo back American car shoppers who had defected to European luxury brands. Swanky interiors, futuristic electronics and Europe-influenced styling found their way into quite a few GM models during the second half of the decade. Pontiac had the 6000 STE, Oldsmobile offered the Toronado Trofeo, Cadillac sold the Turin-Hamtramck-built Allante, and Buick produced the sporty Reatta two-seater. Just under 22,000 Reattas were built during the 1988 through 1991 model years, and today's Junkyard Find is the fifth example I've found during my junkyard travels. The Reatta was the most expensive 1990 Buick, priced at $28,335 for the coupe and $34,995 for the convertible (or about $65,895 and $81,380 in inflation-adjusted 2022 dollars).  For that kind of money, American car shoppers in 1990 could get a BMW 325i in coupe or convertible form for $24,650 or $33,850. They could get a Saab 900 Turbo convertible for $32,995 or an Audi Coupe Quattro for $29,750. Each of those European competitors had sophisticated overhead-cam engines and grippy suspensions, but the Reatta was built on a shortened version of the chassis that went under the Barcalounger-esque Buick Riviera and its engine was the old-timey pushrod Buick V6. The 3.8-liter Buick V6 had been made quite reliable and acceptably smooth by the time this car was built, and it made 165 horsepower (just three fewer than the BMW 325i), but Buick salesmen didn't have much to brag about when showing this engine compartment to a 35-year-old youngster who had just driven a Saab 900 Turbo. The antiquated engine was problem enough, but the lack of a manual transmission served to chase off additional potential buyers. A four-speed automatic was mandatory in every Reatta. Just in case some traditional (i.e. Greatest Generation members) Buick customers might consider this glamorous two-seater, Buick scared them off with the Reatta's video-game-style digital dash and its way-ahead-of-its-time Graphics Control Center touchscreen interface. You can't win! The Graphics Control Center hardware has been grabbed from this dash (the components also fit optioned-up Rivieras and Trofeos of the same era, so junkyard shoppers pull them for resale). Naturally, a Reatta owner would want a hardwired car phone. If you really wanted to be cool in the early 1990s, you bought a Chrysler product with the amazing VisorPhone.
