Hey everyone! Up for sale is my 1986 Buick Regal T-Type. This T-Type has been a Texas car it’s whole life until 2 years ago when it was moved here and kept in a heated and dehumidified garage while the entire car was overhauled. No expense was spared while building this car! Body is RUST-FREE and has 97k original miles with only one repaint and still looks great! Engine and all parts have less than 500 miles on them. Transmission has 50 miles on it, yes 50 miles and was just done by Jimmy’s Performance Transmission in Mudelein, IL. If you’re into the Turbo Buick scene you’ll know that Jimmy’s is the only place in the Midwest you want your 200-4R done at. Here is a list of things done to the T-Type: -#’s matching motor/transmission -Stock block, rebuilt, king bearings, new front cover, high pressure oil pump, water pump, Cometic head gaskets and Felpro gaskets throughout engine. This is a stock rotating assembly. Heads have been completely rebuilt with new guides, seals, valve job with new Manley Stainless valves and 100# valve springs. -Painted heads and block black, powder coated the upper and lower intake. -Brand New Jimmy’s Performance Transmissions 2004-R Transmission and Jimmy’s Torque converter. Fresh with 50 miles on the while setup! This was build to handle mid-10 second ET’s. -Brand new Billet Precision 58/58 turbo with HD actuator. -Converted to E85, all new stainless lines, braided from tank to fuel rail and the return as well from rail back to tank, Racetronix Dual In-tank Pump System G7X 510LPH, G7 DP Fuel Pump Wiring Harness, Fuel Pump Sender, G7, 2x255LPH Pumps AN, Pressure Switch, 4PSI, SPST M/P280S, Hobbs Interface Harness 72" -- DPK, body ground kit.th brand new AN fittings. -8an feed with -6an return. -Brand new ignition module and ignition coil -Brand new stock fuel tank. -Turbotweak 80 lb/hr injectors with integrated wideband correction -Innovate LC1 Wideband -Poly engine mounts. -Rebuilt powermaster brake system, brand new motor, brand new accumulator ball. -New calipers up front, and has the original aluminum rear brake drums. Yes it has the aluminum brake drums in the rear which is EXTREMELY RARE! -G-body parts giant aluminum radiator and dual electric fan combo. (Very Nice Big $$) -RJC racing IC-325 Megacooler Intercooler. -RJC racing stainless 3" downpipe. -RJC racing stainless steel single shot 4" exhaust. 4" exhaust from downpipe exiting behind right rear tire. Has 4" Magnaflow muffler -TA performance (top model) stainless headers. -Engine harness completely taken apart and re-wrapped and re --loomed, ran extra wires through stock harness to powerlogger for other sensors. -Brand new oem carpet and brand new oem seat covers ins -Console replaced and in great shape -Rebuilt and refreshed stock radio with an aux input for your iPod. -Just rebuilt front steering components, center link and idler arm, (moog). -Brand New Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 ET Radial in the rear and brand new 235/60/15 Mickey Thompson radial tires in the front These are just some of the items I can think of off the top of my head. WAY TOO MUCH to list! I have tons of receipts! I still have a few things left to finish on the car but nothing that will stop anyone from driving it and turning heads! Here are a few things that are next on my list. It needs a new headliner, needs new rubber trim around doors/windows/trunk (there are complete kits made that are easy to install). Typical stuff you’d see on a 28 year old Texas car. Also passenger power window motor is slow, I would replace this sooner than later. These cars are getting harder to find, and are very hard to find in this shape. There are tens of thousands of dollars into this car in addition to originally buying it. This setup is enough to run into the 10’s all day long. Build with the intention of running 28#’s of boost. Currently on 22psi boost. You could run this on regular 93 octane gas with a different chip (very easy to get and not expensive). E85 is cheap by me and is the choice of fuel for forced induction. I have many more pictures of this car, I’ll send them to serious buyers upon request. If you have any questions please message me or call/text me @ 847-420-31FiveOne

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle vs 1987 Buick GNX in Generation Gap showdown
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Generation Gap generally tries to adhere to a theme for each episode, and for the final video from the Lingenfelter collection, the series might have its best idea yet - limited-production muscle cars from General Motors.
On one side you get a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle COPO, and it's an absolute sleeper. Other than the SS wheels, this classic coupe looks practically bone stock, at least until the engine fires up. Under the hood is a 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 making a claimed 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This was the sole year for the COPO package on the Chevelle, and Chevy only made about 323 of them.
The Chevelle's challenger is almost as rare and arguably just as cool. The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX looks just as mean today as when new. It eschews a traditional muscular V8 in favor of a 3.8-liter turbo V6 making a claimed 276 hp and 360 lb-ft, although that number is supposedly a bit underrated. Also, just 547 examples of the GNX version were ever built making it quite a collector's item too.
PSA's purchase of Opel from GM is expected to be finalized soon
Sat, Mar 4 2017PSA's purchase of the Opel/Vauxhall division from General Motors is expected to be officially announced on Monday, according to The New York Times. PSA, the parent company of European automakers Peugeot and Citroen, will reportedly hold a joint press conference with GM in Paris to announce the deal. GM has worked as part of an alliance with PSA in Europe since 2012. The deal could be a big boon for both companies. For PSA, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall into its fold would catapult the automaker into second place behind Volkswagen for European marketshare, and would allow the company to spend research and development costs across a greater number of vehicles. And GM, which has struggled in recent years to turn a profit with its European division, would be able to focus more squarely on the areas where it's most profitable and to invest in future technologies like automation. But the deal isn't without its potential pitfalls, primarily for PSA. GM hasn't been able to make a success of Opel and Vauxhall, and it's not a sure bet that PSA will, either. What's more, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall doesn't expand PSA's reach any further into new markets, like China or India. The NYT cites data from Ferdinand Dudenhoffer, a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, showing that 70 percent of PSA and Opel business is done in Europe, a market that has been shrinking since 1999. We'll have to wait a few days to see exactly how the deal between PSA and GM will be structured. We're also curious to see how the loss of Opel may affect GM's lineup in the States, especially for Buick, since the company's Regal sedan is based on the European Opel Insignia. In other words, stay tuned. Related Video:
Why Mazda did so well and Volvo so poorly in Consumer Reports survey
Thu, Oct 25 2018The poor performances of Tesla and all three domestic automakers got the headlines in Consumer Reports magazine's latest reliability survey, but there were other results that caught our interest. Tiny Mazda notched the biggest gain among the 29 brands included in this year's list, leap-frogging nine spots to No. 3. Buick, which was in the top 10 last year, fell 11 spots to No. 19, the biggest decline of any brand. And then there's Volvo, a brand often vaunted for its quality and reliability, dropping six spots to dead last. What gives? For starters, all three brands benefited or suffered in large part due to their relatively small portfolio of vehicles. So when raves or complaints rolled in for even one particular model, as was often the case, it weighed heavily on the entire brand. That's especially true when it involves a relatively high-volume, hot-selling model such as the Buick Enclave (more on that in a moment). Mazda fared as well as it did despite the CX-3 losing Consumer Reports' influential "recommended" status due to problems with its climate system, including leaks from the condenser and refrigerant unit that triggered a service bulletin from the automaker in late 2016. Deputy auto editor Jon Linkov said that scratch didn't hurt the overall brand, since the CX-9 crossover and MX-5 Miata both jumped up to replace it on CR's list of newly recommended vehicles, thanks to several back fixes Mazda made to both models. For Buick, the redesigned Enclave SUV earned a "Much Worse Than Average" rating after owners reported problems with the new nine-speed automatic transmission it shares with the Chevrolet Traverse as well as some issues with the climate system. There were issues with rough shifting, plus complaints about the torque converter that necessitated fixes to the computer or outright replacement. "Again, similar stuff that we saw with the Traverse: both first-year vehicles, similar powertrains," LInkov said. He said all-new vehicles or redesigns typically fare poorly in CR's reliability survey due to issues that are hard to suss out before vehicles go into everyday use by consumers. The top-selling Encore and Envision fared well, Linkov said, but were outdone by the Enclave's problematic transmission components. The Enclave was Buick's second best-selling model through September at 35,227 units. Then there is Volvo, about which there is one word to sum up its woes: infotainment.
