Exterior
Though this Park Avenue is larger in dimensions, it has the same basic look as other Buick sedans. At 206.8 inches long overall, it stretches almost 7 inches longer than the LeSabre — Buick’s lower-priced, family-oriented, full-size model. The Park Avenue rides a 113.8-inch wheelbase, measures 74.7 inches wide and stands 57.4 inches tall.
A new monochromatic tri-shield badge is visible on the grille and trunk lid. Special chrome-plated exhaust tips are installed. Three new body colors and seven carryover shades will be available. Turn-signal indicators are incorporated into the side mirrors.
Interior
Seating for six occupants is standard in the Park Avenue’s roomy interior. The spacious trunk holds 19.1 cubic feet of cargo.
This Park Avenue Ultra features an optional convenience console that creates a five-passenger environment. Bright aluminum sill plates with raised ridges line the floor at the front door openings. Four headrests are embroidered with Buick’s tri-shield emblem. Leather upholstery and wood trim are standard. GM’s OnStar communication system is standard in the Ultra model.
Under the Hood
A supercharged version of Buick’s 3.8-liter V-6 engine, which produces 240 hp, goes into the Park Avenue Ultra. The base Park Avenue uses a 205-hp nonsupercharged version of that engine. Both team with a four-speed-automatic transmission.
Safety
Traction control, antilock brakes and side-impact airbags for the front seats are standard on both models. StabiliTrak, GM’s electronic stability system, is standard on the Park Avenue Ultra and comes in an option package for the base model.

The current Buick lineup is fairly bland, consisting solely of amorphous crossovers in small, medium, and large. Fortunately, the brand is showing signs of life at the General Motors design studio with new products like the Envista, and where designers have envisioned (no pun intended) a large, boxy vehicle that looks like a Kia EV9 competitor. The unnamed premium crossover was penned by designer Geoffrey Richmond and has a well-defined profile with a traditional SUV's squarish greenhouse. It could portend the next-generation Enclave, which shares a similar fishhook headlight design. However, the illustration's front end is a lot more cohesive, with foglamp housings that meet at the outer edges of the headlights. The front end has sort of the Tesla EV duckbill thing going on, but a wide lower intake indicates that there could be an engine under the hood. In any case, this is just an ideation so there may not even be a platform to put this body on yet. That would be a shame, as the Enclave has been out since 2018 and could use a makeover. The V6-powered crossover was supposed to reposition the brand, and we found it quiet and surprisingly comfortable in our review. However, that hasn't been enough to catch on with trendsetters — Enclaves are rarer than Bentleys here in L.A. The "bar of soap" crossover trend is over. Nowadays, for better or worse, buyers want aggressive, rugged looking crossovers even if they're just going on a Target run. Quality testing on the factory floor is nothing to joke about. Automakers need to make sure the work being done is up to snuff, and that means some extensive checks. For Buick, that means using a lot of water for each of its Cascada convertibles. Each vehicle that rolls off the floor is subject to a high-pressure, ten-minute soaking that sprays nearly 20 gallons of water from each nozzle during every bath, just to guarantee the fabric roof hasn't sprung any leaks. For some reason, Buick has chosen to show off this testing with the help of what we imagine is the Gorton's Fisherman's baby cousin. Check out the strange testing video, available up top.
