Up for auction is a 2005 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan with 160,977 highway miles that was used regularly as a vehicle for long distance trips
between Long Island, NY and the Washington, DC area. It's a very reliable vehicle that has been well maintained, was a non-smoker car and
always garage kept.  The car comes equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission, heated leather seats, traction control, CD stereo and full
interior power features.  It has the Cashmere (dark tan) exterior and tan interior that are a great color combo. I inherited the car from my
late Aunt Susan's estate, as she sadly passed away earlier this year from a prolonged battle with breast cancer. Title is in now in my name after
being
transferred to me through probate.  I am selling the vehicle because I have no need for a second vehicle (simply don't drive enough miles to
justify it).
However, I've had it checked out by a trusted local mechanic and have also been driving it twice a week to ensure it's being run regularly.
The condition is described below in detail based on what I know.

Condition Report

This car was well maintained by my Aunt due to her regular long trips to DC as she did not want to get stuck on the highway with a breakdown.
We were very close and talked about a lot of her trips. I only wish I could find the service records for you, not sure where they were kept. Anyway,
this LeSabre looks great for being 8 years of age and the body is in fantastic shape, as I mentioned it was garage kept it's entire life.
The 3800 (3.8L) V6 motor is strong and powerful. If you do any research on this car, you'll find that this motor is one of the best that GM has ever
made and commonly runs for 300,000+ miles as long as the oil and engine coolant are changed at normal intervals. The car starts u
p effortlessly
every time and the transmission shifts smoothly. The
heater heats the car up quickly and the A/C blows ice cold. The battery is still going strong
(it's a long life battery so should be good for a
few more years). The EPA estimates the mileage at 18 mpg city/28 mpg highway.
I have been getting 25 mpg in mixed highway and local driving.

Below, I am fully disclosing everything I observed visually on the interior and exterior of the car:

On the exterior, the Cashmere paint is in very good condition, with less than normal wear for its age, which means there are a some very minor
exterior scratches but no dings or damage of any consequence. There isn’t any visible rust on the body either. The paint is likewise very glossy
over the entire body. The undercarriage is clean and in great condition and this car does not have any fluid drips or leaks underneath. The tires
all have good remaining tread life (20%+), however, one of the rear tires is non-matching (General tire). All are size P215/70R15s.

On the interior, the tan front seats are still in very good shape with no holes or tears and only normal wear, as you will see in the pictures.
The rear seats are in excellent condition and hardly look worn at all.
All of the trim panels and trim pieces are intact, tight and in great condition.
Driver's seat occasionally shifts ever so slightly on tight cornering but is hardly noticeable - may need bolt tightened. The steering wheel looks good
with only minor wear and a few tiny scratches on a few the steering wheel control buttons. All electronics, lighting, mirrors, windows, interior buttons
and switches are functioning properly except for the driver's heated seat button which is not working - passenger side heated seat is fine. I don't have
an estimate on getting the switch repaired but can't imagine it would be costly, anyway you won't need it for awhile going into Summer.
Also, the
gauges all work except for the tachometer (RPM gauge). It's basically useless on an automatic and I remember my Aunt saying it
pegged out after
her factory warranty expired and she never thought it was worth repairing. If it bothers you my mechanic advised the entire instrument
cluster can be sent
out for repair at $125 parts and 1 hours of labor to remove and re-install the cluster, so ~ $200 fix.

All fluids are in good shape, nothing needs to be replaced for awhile. I just had the oil and filter changed so it's good to go for another 3000+ miles.
Front brakes have 5 mm on the pads and 4 mm on the rear brakes, so you are good there. Rear shocks need to be done soon, but you're OK driving
for now. Incidentally they are air shocks but Monroe makes a conversion kit. I can show you where to get the kit for $110 and then you would just need
to pay labor, unless you can do the work yourself.
The floor mats are original and clean with normal wear. The trunk area is likewise in good condition
(see photo) and the spare tire, jack and accessories
are all there. Two factory keys and one fully functional remote are included along with the original
owner's and maintenance manuals in the glove box.
If you want a second remote, they are going for as low as $15 used in good condition on eBay and
you can get it programmed by an automotive locksmith for $50 (have done this with several cars that don't have on-board programming).

After I got the new title and registration, just had the car pass NJ inspection. NJ inspection sticker good through May 2015 and it's ready to drive away.
I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, it's that solid.

Will you get a great deal on this LeSabre?

Well of course I am going to say I think you'll get a terrific deal given the vehicle's condition but don’t just take my word for it. The Kelly Blue Book
value for this car is over $5,000. Since this is a NO RESERVE auction you have a chance to save a bundle.

I highly recommend you visit the Kelly Blue Book site to see how highly rated and reliable this car is by hundreds of other consumers
(Overall rating of 8.8/10 which is really a strong rating since many cars are rated under 8/10 very few make it 9/10 or above).

FREE BONUS

Because I want you to have a great customer experience and be thrilled with the car, you get the following FREE BONUS:

  • Full Tank of Gas - I knows gas prices are high, so the car comes with a full tank to save you a few bucks. ($64 value)

Buy with confidence, 100% positive feedback on 259 ratings since joining eBay in 2000. This is also the eight family vehicle I have sold on eBay Motors,

with me as a seller. Integrity is everything when buying a car online.

Please note that since this 2005 Buick LeSabre is also listed locally for sale, so it may be test driven by other potential buyers, thus listed mileage

Buick Avenir concept struts into Motown

Mon, Jan 12 2015

We love auto show surprises, and Buick has already gifted us a sparkly package on the eve of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Dubbed Avenir, this four-door concept is said to signal the future of the Trishield brand by previewing a possible flagship sedan. Incorporating time-honored Buick design hallmarks like the sweep-spear profile, Ventiports, and even a subtle boattail rear-end, the four-place sedan is powered by a surprisingly real-world powertrain – namely a next-generation V6 with cylinder deactivation and stop/start, with the most interesting part of the driveline arguably being a "twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system" and a nine-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. Make no mistake, this is a big car. At 204.5 inches long, it's longer than a standard-wheelbase Cadillac Escalade – a span that's emphasized by the car's long hood and waterfall grille – though it's not quite as wide. While clearly a showcar, the beautifully crafted interior looks largely produceable, including attributes like a next-generation 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 4G LTE wifi, but we suspect a production car would pick up a third rear seatbelt and give away some of its flowing contours that are said to have been "inspired by nature and sea waves receding on a beach." No word yet on whether there's actually a showroom future for a car like this – it could simply be an exercise designed to test the waters for a next-generation LaCrosse. After all, sedans aren't exactly popular concept fodder these days, especially as crossovers continue to eat into traditional sedan sales in many of the world's markets. However, China still loves the coddling rear seats of a proper four-door sedan (which in this case include silk and bamboo elements), and with a majority of Buick sales happening in the People's Republic, the Asian nation controls the destiny of this General Motors brand. Said another way? Anything is possible, especially with General Motors known to be working on a large flagship sedan for Cadillac already – the Avenir is reportedly based on the same Omega architecture that will underpin the forthcoming CT6. What do you think? Is this a promising direction for the resurgent Buick? Scroll through our gallery, check out the video, and then have your say in Comments.

It looks like Buick is working on a new Regal GS

Mon, Jun 5 2017

When Buick revealed its Regal-badged version of the Opel Insignia/Holden Commodore sedan and wagon, it left out one significant model, the GS. The high-performance Regal was missing in action, but these new spy photos seem to indicate one is coming soon. It looks like it will be pretty subtle on the outside. Upon close examination, we can see that each side of the front bumper features a much larger grille than the normal Regal Sportback and TourX. The thick upper borders on the grilles also look like good places for some LED accent or fog lights. These larger grilles appear to be the only significant difference to the front, though. On the sides, there are slightly deeper side skirts than those on a standard Sportback, and the rear bumper looks to be lifted from the TourX, but without the wagon's aluminum cladding. One other indication that this is a high-performance Regal is the car's front braking equipment. We can make out a Cadillac logo on the front brake calipers, which shows that this isn't running standard Regal stoppers. As for what's under the hood, it's tough to say, but we don't think it will use a turbocharged four-cylinder as the previous generation did. Instead, we think it may be using a V6. That's a hard maybe. The base Regal's turbo four makes as much power as the old GS, and although Buick could crank up the boost for more power, it could also make use of the V6 it will offer overseas. In the mechanically identical Commodore, a 308-horsepower V6 will be available along with a 9-speed automatic and the same type of all-wheel-drive system as the Ford Focus RS. This option would make the upcoming GS more powerful than the old one, and the new standard model, plus offer all-wheel drive. We would like to see even more power than 308, since the top-dog previous-generation Insignia OPC had a 325-horsepower V6.
