Up for Bidding today is my Father's 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T or T-Type as some may call it. This is a Genuine 3 owner car that has not had the normal life most of these cars went through. It never was a street racer, weekend warrior, or some spoiled kids toy that got beat on a daily basis. I am a close friend with the second owner and was best friends with the third owner ( my 77 year old Father) who passed away on Veterans Day 2011 (11-11-11). Since he passed I have driven the car to a handful of car shows and cruise nights just to keep it exercised and to remember my father with my two sons. This car had one complete repaint about 14 years ago and still looks very nice. there are no scratches, scrapes or any other notable blemishes in the paint or body that I am aware of. All the black trim is still in nice shape and the bumpers still shine well with no dings or dents. Even the bumper fillers are still in excellent shape for their age, but that is what happens when the car is GARAGED from day it rolled off the dealers lot. Interior is all original as far as I know except the headliner and sun visors which we had professionally recovered 4 years ago. The drivers seat cushion on the r/h side has a small 1/8" defect in it ( barely noticeable ) and the t- top trim has 3 small cracks in the plastic on the ends, otherwise it is very nice. The carpet looks like it might have been replaced at one time because it is so clean but the original design heel pad is there so it might have an OEM GM piece used. The car is equipped with Concert Sound II and a power antenna that still works. I have replaced the rear speakers and the door speakers but the original dash ones still remain. Mechanically it retains its original drivetrain as far as I can see, no replacement parts tags or anything out of place, original g80 limited slip rear that works well. All factory braces and brackets appear to be in place. No exhaust leaks, engine is dry and transmission is also. It has a replacement catalytic converter on it and aftermarket stainless steel dual exhaust (very very nice). Has KYB gas adjust shocks at all 4 corners, Wheels are in nice shape, no bends or curbings but the clear is getting thin in some areas around the edges. Tires are not the stock sizes has bigs and littles on it for a neat stance, some may like it, some may not, but the tires are in excellent shape so why change them until they need to be. Has original spare tire in trunk with all hardware for the jack unused and accounted for. Everything in the car works as it should, all lights and accessories function as designed, no cracks in the lenses etc. Seatbelts are all present and function as designed. I think I thought of everything but I will probably add to the description over the course of the auction, any Questions ? Feel free to contact me thru Ebay and I will answer them asap, thanks Greg
I would like to run this auction once, So with that said please have your funds available and in place and ask your significant other for permission if you need to. I've heard all of the excuses. No bidders from Zimbabwe or Nigeria or any other scam artist location. Funds must be either electronically transferred into my bank account, legit cashiers check or Dead Presidents (cash) before I will release the car to you or your shipper, that's it no ifs, ands, or buts, Period. I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country in a heartbeat, that's how confident I am in its condition and history. Please don't bid if you are below a 5 positive feedback, I will cancel your bid, contact me first to discuss this. If you are local to me you are welcome to come over and check it out in person. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction anytime since it is for sale in other locations. thanks, Greg

Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series
Thu, Apr 9 2015Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.
Sell-it-yourself: 1998 Buick Century Limited
Wed, May 10 2017Looking to sell your car? We make it safe, easy, and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. Well before Buick was tight with the Chinese, it was working to reconnect with middle class America. Of course, there's the middle class, and then there's the aspirational middle class. For them, near the end of the 20th Century, Buick offered the Buick Century and its better-zip-code derivative, the Century Limited. Having attended the Buick press launch about this time, the Century was – and is – what we'd call tidy in proportion and clean in its detailing. Its interior design and execution might have leaned toward old school, but the exterior surfaces were responsibly devoid of affectation. In short, almost twenty years ago we would have judged this to be sheetmetal that, if not defying age, would have certainly resisted aging. And we'll stand by that today. Our for sale example, nineteen years old and showing just over 111,000 miles, looks to deliver ample bang for the buck, especially when talking only 2,500 of those bucks. From the photos, this Buick seems to have come from a good home, even if the passenger rear door reflects what we used to call a whiskey ding, and is now - probably - a mojito ding. While kicking tires in West Palm Beach, note the custom wheels; they, too, are limited. Shop for the listing here. Buick Car Buying Used Car Buying Ownership Sedan
2018 Buick Regal TourX First Drive Review | Pop the champagne, it's another wagon!
Tue, Jan 30 2018As a newborn member of an endangered species, we should probably pop open the Dom to fete the arrival of the 2018 Buick Regal TourX. It's a wagon, after all, and if there's anything we automotive writers have been clamoring for is more wagons. "Forget those SUVs," we've implored. "This wagon over here is better! Just as much cargo space, better to drive! And have you seen it in brown?" Well, it seems like our collective proselytizing is starting to pay off, or perhaps far more likely, consumer tastes are shifting a bit to appreciate the wagon. Sure, they need to be lifted a bit and sport plastic fender flares to add a wee bit of SUV-ish flavor, but who the hell cares? Beggars, choosers, etc. It's a wagon, and we should be happy it's here. And we are, the Regal TourX is a pretty good one that thankfully offers more than just its mere existence. It especially delivers on the space front, which is refreshing since most of today's wagons are not as cargo friendly as the collective "we" would like to admit. An Audi Q5 regrettably does have more cargo space than an Audi A4 Allroad. Yet, the TourX has more than both – considerably more in fact, coming in at a certifiably huge 73.5 cubic feet of maximum space. The difference is palpable between it and the 53.5-cubic-foot Allroad, which Buick considers the TourX's closest competitor. As the below video (somewhat) demonstrates, I was able to cram 12 Patagonia duffle bags into the Allroad, filling up most of the cabin. The same amount in the TourX left tons of residual space, you could still see out the back and loading it all in didn't require a degree in Advanced Tetris. There's also a far more useful amount of space with the back seat raised (32.7 vs. 24.2). That area is especially lengthy, and with the large rear quarter windows and reasonably square roofline, it should be a good choice for dog owners. There's no built-in dog net behind the back seat as you'll find in the Allroad and BMW 3 Series wagon (you'd have to go the aftermarket route), but your four-legged buddy should at least appreciate the lower liftover/jump-aboard height. Which brings us to the next wagon benefit: the lower roof height. According to Buick's marketing folks, people who buy off-roadish wagons like the Regal TourX are far more likely to actually live the outdoorsy active lifestyles the owners of SUVs usually only envision for themselves.
