I've lost interest in the hobby and have decided to let this GN go to a new home. I had always wanted a GNX so when I decided to redo the car in 2008. I added and/or replaced the following:

Inlet tube with K&N filter
Custom 1 off up pipe fitted with SMC alcohol injection

Factory aluminum brake drums
Posi unit added in 1987
Regular fluid changes
Fuel system contains:
Red Armstrong XP fuel pump in the NOS fuel tank with hot wire kit.
43 lb. Green stripe fuel injectors
Adjustable aluminum fuel pressure regulator
Besides tons of original documentation I also have the original wheels , center caps and lug nuts. These were removed from the car in 1990 with well under 30,000 miles on them . The chrome and black paint on these are in great shape. I have the original wheel opening moldings ,door edge guards , air cleaner assembly , fuel injectors, regulator, thermostat housing and factory computer chips and lot's more.
This GN was never beat or abused. It was drag raced in the late 80's into the early 90's with maybe a dozen total passes made . Car went 12.98 back then with only a Kenne -Bell chip , ram air , 160 degree thermostat and a test pipe with Yokohama tires. Has not been raced since that time or since the modifications that were added in the above listing. Only time this engine was apart , was for a timing chain and gears along with a new water pump many years ago and for new valve springs. Car runs very strong and rides great. It was never smoked in and has been garage kept most of it's life.
Unresolved issues with car at this point:
1)GNX style dash has a slight bleed through of the red light underneath indicating a charging issue. Just a little annoying but you don't notice it much during the day. The alternator is charging 100% though.
2)The dashes red lights surrounding the gauges do not dim with the switch and are either on or off.
3) Oil leaks from engine like ALL Turbo Buicks.
4) A lot of wind noise from the NOS seals around windows. Buyer can reinstall the repo's and have the windows adjusted. The repo's sealed perfectly - go figure !
5)Cruise and wiper washer not working.
6) Engine compartment could use some detailing and cleaning.
Anyone in need of extra picture's please contact me .I have nothing to hide on this beautiful 1 owner GN/GNX and will answer any and all questions as honestly as I can. I'm going to hate to see this car go to a new owner but, I realize that it's time to move on .

GM to offer U.S. Buick dealers buyouts
Sat, Sep 3 2022General Motors Co said Friday it will offer all of its estimated 2,000 U.S. Buick franchise dealers buyouts as it moves to make the brand all-electric by 2030 in the United States. The Wall Street Journal reported the news earlier, quoting Global Buick chief Duncan Aldred who is set to discuss the plans with dealers Friday in a virtual meeting. He noted shifting to EVs will require significant investments by Buick dealers. "So if they want to exit the Buick franchise, then we will give them monetary assistance to do so," Aldred told the newspaper. Buick said in June it plans to introduce its first EV in 2024, but did not provide specifics. "The future dealer requirements are a logical and necessary next step on our path towards electrification to ensure our dealers are prepared to properly sell and service these unique vehicles," a GM spokeswoman told Reuters Friday. Last year, GM's Cadillac brand said it had thinned its dealer network as it shifts to EVs, saying it has nearly 40% fewer U.S. dealers than in 2018. GM booked a total of $274 million in costs during 2020 and 2021 related to the effort to buy out Cadillac dealers who were not prepared to invest $200,000 to $500,000 per store in the equipment and training to support the brand's shift to an all-electric vehicle lineup, planned by 2030. Buick traces its roots back nearly 120 years — five years before GM's 1908 founding — to an era when electric cars briefly outsold gasoline models in the United States. All Buicks sold back then were gasoline-powered. Future Buick electric vehicles in the United States and China will carry the Electra name, which dates back more than 60 years, along with an alphanumeric designator. 2022 Buick Enclave revealed with refreshed styling, more standard features
Thu, Jun 3 2021Buick gave us a sneak peak at the 2022 Enclave back in January, but it officially pulled the sheet back Wednesday to reveal the extent of its updated styling and detail a few updates to its feature content, including a new suite of standard safety tech. We can now better see the various exterior styling touch-ups, including a larger, more pronounced grille, new head- and taillights, and more angularly sculpted front and rear bumpers. The Avenir's exterior treatment was also updated to incorporate the new elements. The changes aren't too dramatic, but Buick did enough to make the 2022 visually distinguishable from previous years. The new standard safety suite is Buick's Driver Confidence Plus package. It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic high-beams. Buick's midsize crossover is still powered by a standard 310-horsepower V6 with optional all-wheel drive. The range-topping Avenir model includes an adaptive suspension and unique styling elements. Despite our previous expectations, the Enclave's cabin didn't really get an upgrade apart from the standard safety items listed above. Buick did not include pricing information in Wednesday's announcement, so you can look forward to yet another update before the 2022 Enclave goes on sale later this year. Related video: 2021 Buick Envision Running Footage
The 10 car brands cheapest to maintain over 10 years
Mon, Apr 22 2024Buying a car can be fun and bring a lot of freedom, but things can go sideways when it comes time for repairs. Some car brands are better than others, however, and Consumer Reports recently ranked the least- and most-expensive brands for owners to repair. There are few surprises on this list, but the cheapest new car and the runner-up might come as a shock. Tesla and Buick were the cheapest new car brands to maintain and repair over 10 years, followed by Toyota, Lincoln, and Ford. 10 car brands cheapest to maintain over the next 10 years: Tesla: $4,035 Buick: $4,900 Toyota: $4,900 Lincoln: $5,040 Ford: $5,400 Chevrolet: $5,550 Hyundai: $5,640 Nissan: $5,700 Mazda: $5,800 Honda: $5,850 Consumer Reports noted that maintenance costs for some brands can look deceiving, as many offer free maintenance for a period after the purchase. New-car warranties also play a role, with the powertrain coverage spanning four or five years and 50,000 or 60,000 miles, depending on the company. It's also worth noting that Tesla only sells EVs, which don't require engine air filters, oil changes, and some other routine maintenance, lowering their average costs. Related: Cheapest electric cars Cheapest SUVs The most expensive brands to maintain might not come as a surprise, but the costs associated with owning them might. Land Rover was the worst, at $19,250 over 10 years, while Porsche came in second at $14,090. Mercedes-Benz’s average costs were $10,525 and AudiÂ’s $9,890. While this suggests that these brands need more frequent repairs over the 10-year period, it also points to higher labor and parts costs for the European automakers. If you own one of the more expensive brands to maintain and youÂ’re worrying as you read this, there are a few things you can do to prolong your vehicleÂ’s life and minimize unnecessary maintenance costs. The first is to follow the automakerÂ’s suggested maintenance periods, changing your oil, rotating tires, and doing all the “boring” stuff before it becomes a problem. ItÂ’s also a good idea to take care with the way you drive, avoiding potholes, accelerating gently, and trying not to abuse your brakes. Finally, donÂ’t modify your vehicle. Car companies spend billions on research and development, and most know better about how a vehicle is meant to operate than you do in your garage with third-party parts.
