It is a 1987 with what looks like faded original paint with rust spots around the body from when it lived up North."

Up for auction is my baby.  This car has only known synthetic oil changes every 3,000 miles since I have had it.  I had the engine gone through completely by a very knowdgable Buick Only expert here in South Florida and the car is running at about 400 very driveable horsepower.  The car was previously that of a gentlemen that used the car as a driver in New Jersey.  I bought it and went completely through the car so all the mechanicals and electricals work perfectly.   The car is as is and where is.  Its an old car.  But I would not hesitate to drive this car ANYWHERE at ANYTIME with the AC blasting.

This car rumbles like you would not believe.  It has a pitbull custom exhaust.  Paint is faded and it needs the bumper fillers but I am including the fillers I bought for the car in the auction.  This is a real 1987 Buick Grand National that is mechanically amazing.  I have had several of these cars and this is the best running one yet.  It runs in the South Floida Heat with the AC on at 167 degrees.  The paint is ok at 20 feet or if your squinting in the dark.  For my purposes I was more worried about a solid, performer that was super reliable mechanically.  Does not leak anything.  The suspension has been gone through completely too. It has stabilizer bars and new bilstein shocks for amazing comfort and a ride that seems like a newer car than what it really is.  It drives super straight!  Rear tires on there are a little wider than the front e to the power.  It also has a line lock installed in case you want to burn out endlessly.

Everything is monitored via pillar mounted gauges and console mounted oil and water temp gauges.  The scanmaster and knock sensor will make sure all is well.  This 87 Grand National comes with all of its original manuals and paperwork.  I can go on and on but I will just let you email me with questions.  There is about $7,500.00 under the hood so the reserve is set in that neighborhood in case you are curious.  Happy Bidding.  Sold as is and where is as mileage exempt since it is a 1987 car.  The title is clean and is in hand.

Opel Cascada is Europe's Buick convertible [w/video]

Wed, 17 Oct 2012

As we reported earlier, there has been much speculation regarding a Buick convertible of sorts. The most ringing endorsement of this conjecture comes today from General Motors Europe, as the new Opel Cascada has debuted on the interwebs. Opel calls the four-passenger Cascada an "athletic, glamorous midsize convertible." With a length of 4,697mm (185 in.), the Cascada is as long as an Audi A5, to which GM has said it would be slightly larger.
The Cascada, which is Spanish for waterfall, features a cloth convertible top that retracts in 17 seconds and at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph). The Cascada features a 1.4-liter turbo gas engine, 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 165 horsepower and a range-topping 1.6-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft). Power is sent through either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
According to GM, the Cascada will also come rife with luxury and tech features. In addition to adaptive forward lighting and ergonomic heated front seats, the convertible will feature Opel Eye, which is a front camera that can recognize traffic signs and incorporates lane departure warning and forward collision alert.

Next-gen LaCrosse, Cascada convertible coming to Buick showrooms in 2016

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

It's difficult to overstate how significant the post-bankruptcy years have been for General Motors' Buick brand. Arguably the most improved American automaker, Buick has rounded out its range with an excellent compact in the Verano, a well-balanced midsizer in the Regal and a segment-busting mini-CUV, with the Encore.
Seeking to keep that momentum going, the next several years will see the brand address a trio of its most obvious issues. First and foremost will be a replacement for the aging LaCrosse, a vehicle whose only bit of attention since its 2009 debut was a very light refresh in 2013.
According to Automotive News, we should expect the next-generation LaCrosse to arrive late next year or early in 2016, as a 2016 model. AN expects big design changes, as Buick attempts to further the LaCrosse from its popular platform-mate, the Chevrolet Impala. The changes won't be so radical, though, as to do away with its front-drive architecture, as the latest version of the Epsilon platform will underpin the next LaCrosse. The 3.6-liter V6 is likely to carry on, although a smaller, budget-minded offering is also extremely likely (we'll eat our hat if it's not the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the Regal, Verano and Cadillac CTS et al.).

Buick Riviera Concept hits the floor in Shanghai

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

Here we have a concept in the true sense of the term. The Buick Riviera you see here - the name of which was last used in production back in 1999 - is said to preview Buick's future styling direction, which means we should expect to see more flowing body shapes to go along with new versions of the marque's classic waterfall grille design. Oh, and we don't believe there's a single porthole in sight.
Powered by Buick's so-called dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system (we'll stick with the W-PHEV acronym) that allows the car to be charged wirelessly just by driving atop a special charging mat on the ground, the car's powertrain is just as futuristic as its exterior shape.
Other high-tech bits include holographic projections on the windshield showing the driver what's around him, with input coming from 10 high-res cameras and 18 micro high-precision sensors. The car also sports 4G wireless connectivity so that its occupants are always connected.
