1955 Buick Century 2 dr Hdtp, Modern Power steering ( Gearhead power steering box $4500.00 installed ), 3 turns wheel to wheel using one finger, PB, PA. 4 new springs giving the car the correct stance and does not lean in corners. New windshield, Door flaps that work perfectly, new paint, weather stripping, good radial whitewall tires. Excellent aftermarket interior, no rips or tears. Driver quality chrome. Everything works including Ribbon speedo, both heaters, under front seat and dash (new blower motor ), original AM radio, wipers(rebuilt motor), new heater control valve, directional's, back up lights, etc. This is a nice quiet powerful cruiser with a great running 322 ci motor, Dynaflow trans which is smooth as silk. The car has no rattles, shakes, vibrations. Cruise at highway speeds all day. Added a console for an aftermarket radio(am/fm/CD/IPod) and cup holders. According to the last owner the motor and trans were rebuilt about 8000 miles ago and said the mileage is original, but I have no documentation on that, however, the car runs great and the overall ride and condition make it possible. This car needs nothing and can be driven anywhere.
I resisted using a por coating on the underside as I wanted to show the light oxidation but no rust that a car kept in the mid west most of it's life has. I also have the original air cleaner set up that will go with the car.
The car has a nice gloss shine on it but some of the pictures where the sun hits it makes the yellow look dull or iridescent , but is an illusion.

I am sure this car will make someone a very enjoyable driver, as it is absolutely turn key and ready to go. My reason for selling?  I'm 65 years old so it's time to thin out the herd!  I am available to answer any questions about the car through E-Bay.  If you want to inspect the car, no problem, as long as it all happens before the close of the auction.  Please don't ask what the reserve price is, and please don't ask me to end the auction and buy the car off the E-Bay sight. I am looking for someone to buy the car who will care for and enjoy the car as much as  I did the last few years!  You can fly in and drive this one anywhere!

I will accept US funds only.  A 500.00 non refundable deposit to Pay-Pal is required at the close of the auction.  I have a clear New Hampshire title on this car which will be released only when the payment funds have been cleared in my bank.  I will accept a bank wire transfer, bank certified check or cash, nothing else.  Shipping is the complete responsibility of the buyer.  I will assist with loading at the time of pick up.  I will deal with your shipper at pick up during daylight hours only!  Foreign bidders are welcome as long as the car is paid in US funds and shipping is handled and paid for by them.  I will not release the car or the title until funds have been received and cleared in my bank.  Bidders with negative feedback or feedback below 20 need to contact me before bidding.

The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.  Good luck and happy bidding!

GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Tue, 20 May 2014

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years

Buick luxury sedan design sketch would make a great flagship

Tue, Nov 29 2022

Over the Thanksgiving holiday General Motors posted a sketch of a futuristic Buick sedan to social media. In fact, the sleek wedge is just the latest in a series of illustrations that seem to point the way to a luxury EV coming in 2024 (for model year 2025). That's when Buick has promised its first fully-electric vehicle, with the promise that the entire lineup will be gasoline free.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by GM Design (@generalmotorsdesign) The sketch shows a low, long sedan that seems to be inspired (or perhaps served as the inspiration for) the Buick Wildcat concept revealed in June. However, there are significant differences as well. The sketch shows a profile that's more cab backward than the Wildcat's, with a gently sloping roofline that's more Audi A7 than the physical car's aggressive Nissan GT-R-like top.  The front end is less busy than the Wildcat's as well, with the chrome better integrated into the fascia and headlights. Similar brightwork appears on the rocker panels and on the fenders behind the wheel arches, cues the Wildcat concept lacks. Buick's updated logo sits at the end of a sporty BMW-esque trough on the hood. Of course, the exaggerated wheels have such little clearance they wouldn't really be able move or turn, much less survive a pothole, but we can forgive that artistic liberty. Other recent sketches shown on the GM Design account on Instagram show a more refined version of the same sedan, but without the Wildcat's Honda CR-V-esque taillights. Another super-luxurious coupe with hints of Syd Mead looks just as beautiful but is unbranded and may work better as a Cadillac. The Buick brand feels a bit redundant these days, but stunning designs like these could help differentiate the brand. The General has plenty of trucks and SUVs already. If it's going to foist crossover after crossover at us, maybe the Buick division could stand out as the sedan-and-coupe-only brand. Related video:

Buick Envision interior just as nice as its exterior

Mon, Jun 29 2020

GM China loosed more photos of the all-new 2021 Buick Envision, this time of the interior. We are happy to report that the cabin design is just as pleasing to the eye as the exterior. When the 2021 model shows up for the reunion with its earlier model-year siblings, no one will recognize it. The modestly dated interior of the current crossover with its too-small infotainment screen and Rorschach-blot button placement is all gone. The gaudy curves and textures on the current instrument panel give way to a simple, split-level, bi-color form. What's more, the IP subtly carves out distinct driver and passenger spaces, a design trait normally reserved for sports cars. When Buick and GMC design boss Helen Emsley said the coming Envision would possess "striking styling designed to combine the expressiveness of a car with the practicality of an SUV,” she wasn't lying. The new steering wheel picks up more substantial spokes decorated with linear buttons instead of the circular pads, and its center cap is wider and no longer reminiscent of an alien face. The dash's dark portion up top houses a 10-inch infotainment screen canted at an 18-degree angle for the driver's ease-of-use. Air vents accentuate the break between the top and bottom of the instrument panel. Beneath the center vents, in the cabin-colored portion of the dash, are a slick set of climate controls. The pushbutton gear selectors along the left side of the center tunnel come from the China-market Enclave. And even the cupholders are handsome. The Envision Avenir gets a few exterior changes like a mesh grille and nicer wheels to set itself apart, the interior wearing Ivory White and Jazz Black hues and diamond-stitched seats. We might prefer the interior with peanut-butter brown and black even more. And suddenly, the Cadillac XT4 could have a problem; the Buick and the Cadillac share the E2 platform, but one of them — in photos, at least — is incontestably more fetching. As for tech, expect Android Auto and Apple CarPlay standard, and driver safety features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and the automaker's safety alert seat. Regular conveniences will include space for five, nearly two dozen storage cubbies, and an available giant panoramic moonroof. The only engine we've heard tell of so far is a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit, expected to be a carryover mill with 252 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
