Bmw M3 Base Sedan 4-door on 2040-cars
Bartlesville, Oklahoma, United States
2009 BMW M3 Sedan (E90). 4.0L V8 with 7 speed DCT transmission. Beautiful Interlagos blue exterior with grey leather interior. Car is in great condition, looks and drives like new and sounds even better. Nothing beats the V8 sound especially with this Borla exhaust system. Only 40K miles for a 2009. Very well taken care of; Oil changed every 5,000 miles and spark plugs changed recently. 475+ hp and still gets 22 mpg highway with aftermarket parts. Garage kept at home and at work. The car was driven on days with nice weather. There are only two small issues with the car. The driver’s side floor mat is coming apart a little and there are two small spots on the hood, close to the windshield that have been chipped, and then touched up. Neither are significant issues, and really, most people wouldn't even notice. I am just very picky with my vehicles. I even included pictures of the driver’s seat where there is usually wear and tear to show its high quality. Other than these issues, the car is very clean and in great condition. It was professionally detailed, waxed, and treated with a clay bar at least once a year. Most stock parts including the stock air box and exhaust can be sold with the car. If it is wanted, please let me know. Also, the car comes with 3 keys (around $300 each). Aftermarket parts include: aFe Power Stage 2 Cold Air Intake Borla Exhaust Borla X-Pipe with Cat Delete ESS Tuning Performance Software Black Grill and Side Fins Front Reflector Delete Tinted Tail Lights SRF Brake Fluid LED Halo Lights Full Window Tint. Optional packages on this car include: Cold Weather Package Heated Front Seats Split Fold-down Rear Seats Headlight Cleaners Premium Package Universal Garage Door Opener Foldable Mirrors Compass Technology Package M Drive Navigation with updated 2013 Maps Adaptive M Suspension Bluetooth Comfort Access Keyless Entry and Keyless Start Enhanced Premium Sound (Harmon Kardon 16 Speaker Surround Sound System) Power Moonroof Power Rear Sunshade Manual Side Sunshades Rear Parking Distance Control 19” Wheels. Buyer is responsible for shipment of car, which it is currently located in Tulsa, OK. If we can work out a deal, I may be able to drive the car to Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, Denver, or anywhere in between that has an airport that flies Southwest Airlines.

Zombie cars: A dozen discontinued vehicles people still buy new
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. Â BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Â Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Â Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
Trump turns his unpredictable ire towards German carmakers
Mon, Jan 16 2017President-elect Donald Trump likes to be unpredictable. During the election, he used the phrase in reference to foreign policy and dealing with terrorism. But he's using the same tactic with the automotive industry, making broad statements that send manufacturers into emergency-response mode. The latest salvo comes from an interview with Germany's Bild, where Trump threatened a 35-percent import tax on German manufacturers. ( Reuters covers the highlights in English here.) "If you want to build cars in the world, then I wish you all the best. You can build cars for the United States, but for every car that comes to the USA, you will pay 35 percent tax," Trump said. Trump's comments seem to be directed at manufacturing in Mexico, although it's unclear if the comments refer to any import from a German automaker or just those from south of the border. BMW is building a $1-billion plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, where it plans to assemble the 3 Series. Mercedes-Benz is joining up with Nissan to build a new facility in Aguascalientes near the Japanese company's existing factory. And Volkswagen recently expanded its massive footprint in Puebla to build the new Tiguan as well as a separate factory for the Audi Q5. Reuters states that Trump thinks there's not enough reciprocity between Germany and the United States, as Germans don't buy Chevrolets at the rate American buy Mercedes-Benz Vehicles. At present, only the Corvette and Camaro are sold in Germany. The German subsidiary of Chevrolet parent General Motors, Opel, is the fifth-ranked automaker in the European Union, ahead of FCA but trailing Ford, VW, and both French auto companies. In response to Trump, Germany's deputy chancellor (Chancellor Angela Merkel is shown above) and minister for the economy, Sigmar Gabriel, did not mince words. As reported by The Guardian, Gabriel said "The US car industry would have a bad awakening if all the supply parts that aren't being built in the US were to suddenly come with a 35% tariff. I believe it would make the US car industry weaker, worse and above all more expensive." Asked what it would take for Germans to buy more American vehicles, he said "Build better cars." Gabiel also noted that BMW's largest plant is already in the US. The Spartanburg, SC plant exports about 65 percent of its 400,000-unit annual production to foreign markets and directly employs 8,000 workers according to BMW.
Is the BMW i8 actually already sold out?
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The other day we brought you a report from Reuters, which quoted BMW's global sales chief Ian Robertson as saying that the Bavarian automaker had already sold out the entire year's production run of its new i8. Impressive, sure, but perhaps not all that unusual for a groundbreaking new sportscar from a major automaker, of which only limited quantities are typically built. But is the i8 really sold out?
Our compatriots at Car and Driver chased down the story and report that Robertson's claims aren't exactly accurate. According to C/D, the numbers are based on sales projections, not actual orders taken. So while BMW may build upwards of 1,900 i8 coupes next year and over 5,000 in 2015, and while they're all expected to sell, that doesn't mean that it's too late to get your order in. That is, assuming you have the $135k on hand and don't mind getting just three cylinders back in return.
