We are selling our gorgeous 2007 BMW M6 convertible. We have thoroughly enjoyed owning this car.  It is a blast to drive!  It handles great and has plenty of power to spare!  The car is optioned with the 7 speed "SMG" transmission- a manual transmission with electronic controls.  This transmission is the best of both worlds for a car like this. Flick it in "Drive" mode and let the car do everything for you, or employ the paddle shifters in "manual" mode and hammer through the gears and listen to the V10 redline at 8,250 rpm!  There are several suspension settings as well which make the car ride more firmly when desired.  This is a great multi-purpose car, and gets lots of looks.

The engine and powertrain work flawlessly on this car, Driving it is a pleasure to all 5 senses.

The car just came back from the dealer and is up to date on service.  It has no mechanical issues to our knowledge.
There are no leaks anywhere underneath the car.
There are no errors on the dash and no check lights.
Convertible top works perfectly and is in outstanding condition, no leaks or wind noise.
All body panels are excellent with only a minor rock chip in a couple of places due to highway use.
Glass is excellent with no chips.
The paint is better than average and shines extremely well.
Hankook V12 tires have plenty of tread left on all corners.
The doors close solid with no rattles.
Interior is immaculate and smells like a new BMW. (Non smoker)
All electronics and interior/exterior amenities work as they should.

The only modification done to this car was to have it professionally hardwired to support a radar detector so that there is no long cord reaching down to the power port in the ashtray, The new wire is located near the driver's visor. The Valentine 1 detector shown in the picture below is shown for demonstration purposes only, the detector itself is not included with the sale of the car.

There are no flaws or issues to speak of with this car. It has less than 49k miles on it and is ready to get in and go. It has served us well but it must go as we have replaced this car with a new Maserati convertible and do not have room for both.

You will feel and look like a million bucks in this car, which can't be beat for the low starting bid. High bidder will be taking this car home!

The car is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I can help arrange transport to anywhere in the continental US, at your cost.

This car is being sold by a private owner. Title is clear and in hand- it will be mailed directly from me to you upon payment by bank transfer (preferred), or cashiers check. Has a clean carfax report, no accident history. Please note that the car is listed through other classified venues as well as locally, so the auction may be ended without notice.  If you have any questions at all about the car please feel free to email me.

Thanks for looking!

Hyundai, BMW and Ford win Concept Vehicle of the Year awards

Sat, 06 Jul 2013

More than two dozen jurors started with a pool of 23 concept cars introduced at the most recent Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York auto shows, then pared it down to three winners in three categories for the twelfth annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards. The trophy-bearers are said to be those "vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry," and lead their classes in the Concept Car, Concept Truck and Production Preview divisions.
Hyundai had two cars as finalists for the Concept Car category, the competition boiled down to the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept, Veloster C3 Roll Top, Honda EV-STER and the Toyota Corolla Furia. It won with the HCD-14 Genesis that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, a sharp sedan that sharply divided opinion between those who thought it was too much, those who thought it was too much Audi A7, and those who thought it was perfect. The award panel's judges, however, thought so much of it that it's got two awards in one sitting, not only taking concept car honors, but because it earned the highest overall score in the competition it also takes the crown for Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013.
The final selection in the Concept Truck category was down to the Ford Atlas, Kia Cross GT, Nissan Resonance and Volkswagen Cross Blue. The Ford Atlas took the silverware, after also winning the Eyes on Design award - shared with the Nissan Resonance - at the Detroit Auto Show where it was introduced.

Chevy Traverse, Hyundai Santa Fe revealed; Buick Envista, BMW M4 CSL driven | Autoblog Podcast #790

Fri, Jul 21 2023

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor John Beltz Snyder. After some banter, including the discussion of an excellent tomato sauce recipe, they get into car reviews. Greg has been driving the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, while John has been testing the BMW M4 CSL and Buick's new Envista crossover. There's lots of interesting news this week. Chevy revealed the 2024 Traverse with new looks, a new engine and on off-road(ish) trim. Hyundai gave us a glimpse at the wild styling of the next Santa Fe. Dodge might bring back the Stealth nameplate as an SUV, and that has implications for the Durango as well. Ford, after repeatedly raising prices, has turned around and significantly discounted the F-150 Lightning across all trims. The first Tesla Cybertruck has rolled off the line as a pre-production prototype. Finally, we reach in to the mailbag and help a listener decide what to do with cars for himself and his kids in this week's Spend My Money segment.
