For sale is my E24 BMW M6. This is your chance to get to own one of the first ///M built by BMW with only 1,767 built for the N/A market.  Schwarz black on the exterior with a gray leather interior, the M6 just has a timeless look that never gets old. It's an attention getter no matter where you are. Powered by a S38 engine, 3.5L straight six individual throttle body rated at 256hp and 243lb.ft of torque, it is just enough power to feed your needs for speed. With 177k miles, the M6 still is quiet at idle and strong on WOT.  And for me personally, a avid M car owner, this is the ultimate drivers car. The moment you drive it, you get the joy of the effort BMW put into building this vehicle.

I originally bought the M6 from California. I do not have any original history or record from previous owner. At the moment I got it  at 173k I did front & rear brake job, replaced spark plugs, distributor rotor and cap, fuel filter, air filter, and the oil change. I did the state inspection in Texas and the vehicle passes it without issues. No rust on the car what so ever, all panels are original with vin decals still intact, and no after market mods on it. Every item works on the car, from the A/C to the sunroof. SLS system was replaced by Blisten rear shock with regular spring. The vehicle has been refinish by pervious owner, so it looks fresh. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. It has almost new tires in all four corners with plenty of thread still left. No uneven wear since the front bushings and rear trailing arm bushings have been replace previously as well. Alignment is spot on as if it was on rails with no drift or pulls.

The attention the M6 gets on the road is amazing with people always getting next to you to give you a thumbs up and getting compliments where ever you are. I really hate to let it go but the time has come. Owning a E28 M5, E39 M5, Euro 500SEC, and the M6 it makes it hard to give attention to all of them.

These are the options the vehicle came with:

Code

Description (EPC)
S240A  Leather steering wheel
S291A BMW LA wheel, cross spoke, 2-section
S441A  Smoker package
S459A  Seat adjuster, electric, with memory
S494A  Seat heating driver/passenger
S533A Air conditioning, rear

So please do not hesitate to ask any questions or ask for any specific pictures of anything. I have over 120 pictures of the M6, but I am limited to put so much. Having to sell it is a big scrafice, but some compilcations have arised and so my loss is some elses gain. The only flaws at the moment is a cracked on the front spoiler on the center of it and a cracked fog light lense on the left side.

Thank you for looking and enjoy the listing.

Buyer is reponsible for transportation at time of purchase. A $500.00 deposit is due on the first 48hrs the auction closes. The rest is to be paid in cash or cashier's check upon agreement.

BMW 6 Series Convertible gets a little work done for 2015

Sat, 02 Aug 2014

Truth be told, I've never really found the modern BMW 6 Series to be a particularly attractive car, in Coupe, Convertible, or sedan Gran Coupe forms. This current generation certainly looks a whole lot better than the Bangle-fied Six that came before it to my eyes, but on the whole, I find much of the car's design to be fussy and awkward. There's a new 6 Series on the way, scheduled to arrive sometime in 2017 or 2018, but to hold us over until then, BMW is freshening its current range, as evidenced by this convertible prototype our trusty spies recently caught testing.
Will the changes to the current 6 Series be an improvement? Perhaps. Up front, there are restyled headlamps and a new front bumper, and at the rear, BMW has redesigned the LED taillamps to bring them more in line with the rest of the company's offerings. Aside from those modest tweaks, we don't expect much more to change on the Big Six - the interior will likely carry over with some minor tweaks (or new colors), and it's possible the powertrains could be massaged gently for gains in either power, efficiency, or both.
Whether you think this new look is pretty or not, this freshened 6 Series will likely debut sometime next year, while BMW's engineers and designers craft the all-new version. See it from several angles in our gallery, above.

BMW owners celebrate 40 years of 3 Series

Fri, May 8 2015

With a recent refresh and introduction of the 340i, BMW is continuing to evolve the 3 Series to make sure that the it can keep up in the competitive world of sport sedans. However, the company doesn't want to forgot the past 40 years of the 3 Series' history. In a new video, the brand travels the world to let owners of a few classic examples explain just what makes this model so special. While several generations get their turn in the limelight, fans of the E30 from the '80s and early '90s will find a lot to like here. BMW travels to Las Vegas, NV, to talk with a guy who specializes in restoring them, and then the company goes to Jakarta, Indonesia, to check out one that's grabbing trophies on the racetrack. A bit of advice, though: make sure to turn on the subtitles for this video because portions of it include interviews with Spanish and German owners in their native languages.

BMW i3s traction control tech going in all BMW, Mini cars

Wed, Jan 3 2018

The BMW i3s is essentially a warmed-up version of the i3 electric car we all know and love. The performance boost isn't huge — just 14 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque — but it also gets a new suspension, wheels and tires as well as an improved traction control system. We found the car to benefit from all the updates when we drove it for our First Drive Review, but now BMW has offered up more details on just how the traction control system of the i3s helps make it better to drive. The company says it'll expand the technology to all future BMW and Mini models as well. The i3s's system is calibrated to help it to pull away quickly from a stop, making full use of the instantaneous torque offered by the electric motor. It also improves stability when accelerating out of corners, when using regenerative braking and, of course, when the road conditions are less than ideal. The results are palpable, and with the other improvements the i3s definitely feels stronger off the line, as we found on our drive. It's also about a half-second quicker to 60 miles per hour, at 6.8 seconds. The secret is in the response time of the stability control, which BMW claims is 50 times faster than the conventional system. This is made possible by moving the control process into the powertrain itself, rather than a remote unit. This reduces the signal path and, thus, the response time of the traction control system. BMW's Head of Chassis Development, Peter Langen, said of it, "With their high levels of torque and instantaneous responses to every movement of the accelerator, electric motors already make significantly higher demands on driving stability systems than conventional power units." While engineered to make the most of the electric motor, BMW says the shorter cycles of this traction control system show promise for internal combustion vehicles as well. As such, we'll begin to see the improved technology applied across the BMW and Mini lineups going forward. Related Video:
