Black with Tan Interior 107K Miles Fully Serviced with all OEM BMW Parts I have over $13,000 in receipts of services and maintenance that has been performed on this vehicle over the past 2 years. 1 of 1236 produced New Yokohama S-Drive Tires which have been mounted on the OEM wheels. Billy Boat Cat-back Exhaust (Stock included in sale) Bavarian Auto-sport Catalytic Converter 4 New Brake Calipers, 4 New Rotors, New Front and Rear Suspension as well as a new Battery along with a long list of other services performed. The car is mint inside and out, the interior is free of any rips, tears or stains and has not been modified in any way. The front seats show very minimal wear and the rear seats look as if they were never used. The exterior is mint as well, the paint shines like brand new and is coated with top of the line wax, polish and sealant. The car was maintained by me and Andrew from Long Island Detailers. It has been opticoated recently. It has been garage kept since it was purchased in 1988. The car is free of rust, rot and any body work. The car is all original and literally looks as if it has been in a time capsule for the past 25 years. I have all the service documents, receipts and paperwork on the vehicle. The owners manual and all OEM BMW booklets are in the glove box just like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. The car was purchased by my neighbor in 1988 from Manhattan BMW, it was sold to my other neighbor 15 years later and he was the one who sold it to me last year. The car has always been within 1 mile of where it resides now. If I had to rate this car out of 10 I would say it's a 9/10 Exterior, 9/10 Interior and a 9/10 mechanically. They're are no noticeable scratches, dings, dents, paint fade or anything. The car is tight as a whistle, pulls strong and handles amazing. You will not be disappointed and I can confidently this is probably one of the cleanest all original E28 M5's left in the country. The dash is crack free as well which is extremely rare in an E28. Also the full tool kit is in the trunk as well and looks like new which is a other rarity. The Cluster was changed by BMW at 68,956 miles and I have NYS documentation to provide to show the mileage matches up. The odometer currently reads 39,152. The Carfax is clean as well and that will be provided as well in the documentation that comes with the the vehicle. The best part of this car is the fact that everything is here and everything works as intended. Every button and every control works flawlessly. Nothing needs to be done to this vehicle, just buy it and enjoy it. Transmission shifts smooth, engine runs beautifully and the car handles like a dream. I've seen these cars all over the place in pricing but from what I've seen, in similar condition and mileage they seem to be going for anywhere between 28-34k. I've seen some outliers in the low 20's and a few in the 40's, some in the 50's and a very low mileage example fetch almost 80k! I'm confident that this car will be continually gaining value and not only is it a awesome car but also an even more awesome investment.. Only reason I'm selling is because I just got into a new business and planning on getting married over the next 18 months and I want to free as much cash as possible and this is one of the things I must get rid of. |

BMW teases new 7 Series with gesture control tech, LCD display key
Mon, Apr 20 2015Want an early glimpse at what features you can expect to see in your next car a few years down the line? Look to flagship luxury sedans, where automakers often roll out their most advanced technologies. Like on the next-generation BMW 7 Series. Previewed in this teaser clip above, detailed in the press release below and pictured in the massive gallery at bottom, Munich's upcoming flagship model will be packed with innovative features. It'll have a remote-control parking feature that won't even require the driver to be on board when entering or exiting a parking space, controlled through an LCD touchscreen on the key fob. Once on board, you'll also be able to control the infotainment system with three-dimensional gestures made in the air or through the touchscreen display. Power will be provided by a new generation of engines, starting with a turbocharged inline-six mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An adaptive air suspension promises to offer a sporty or cushioning ride as desired. And it's all being built around a structure made partially out of carbon fiber, cutting nearly 290 pounds off the curb weight. All of which paints a picture of the next-generation 7 Series as a rolling technology exhibit, and one we're looking forward to experiencing first-hand. PreDrive Miramas. 17.04.2015 BMW is using a technology and innovation workshop to present an initial selection of development highlights which the next generation of the BMW 7 Series model range will use to set new benchmarks in lightweight design, driving dynamics, comfort, intelligent connectivity and operation. The extensive use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the structure of the passenger cell, the rigorous and detailed application of lightweight design and a new generation of engines combine to reduce the weight of the luxury sedan along with its fuel consumption and emissions figures. The comfort, safety and driving experience offered by the new BMW 7 Series benefit from new chassis technology, exceptional scope for interaction with the car's infotainment technology and a wider selection of driver assistance systems from BMW ConnectedDrive. BMW EfficientLightweight: Carbon Core helps to reduce weight by up to 130 kilograms. Thanks to the BMW EfficientLightweight strategy, the new BMW 7 Series line-up will tip the scales up to 130 kilograms lighter than the outgoing generation of models.
BMW's next-century concept mentions no powertrain, and we're sad
Mon, Mar 7 2016So the Ultimate Driving Machine might soon become the Ultimate Machine Driver. We get it, that's the way things are moving. For its part, BMW still plans to involve a driver in its next-century designs, as foretold by the Vision Next 100 concept it unveiled at its centenary celebration kickoff event. But what gets us is that BMW, Bayerische Motoren Werke, the company known for delivering some of the most sorted powertrains – gasoline and otherwise – over the last century makes no mention of the future of propulsion when presenting its idea of the next 100 years on the road. Maybe it's the fact we just don't know what will power our cars even 10 years down the line; locking into one concept or another could look bad in hindsight. But the whole, er, concept of a concept is to look at what might be possible, not avoid sticky issues. Where are the in-hub motors, the wireless charging mats, the onboard fusion reactors we were promised in Back to the Future Part II? This is an opportunity to offer innovative solutions. Skipping over the power was a mistake, and one that makes me a little disappointed in the company. I'd have liked to see BMW go big with a bold prediction, or even just admit that gas will be gone and some form of electrification will take its place by 2116. We're okay with electric motors as long as they don't drain the life out of cars, and they don't have to, which is something companies like Tesla and even BMW have proven.
