Supercharged 2002 Bmw M3 E46, Track Ready Race Car, Headers Race Exhst, 4.1 Diff on 2040-cars

Supercharged E46 M3.
I am sad to sell my midnight blue M3. This car has undergone several track specific upgrades since i bought it 2 years ago when it was in stock condition. I fitten the ESS stage 1 supercharger 6 months ago. It makes 445hp at the crank, 385 at the wheels!!!! Other track upgrades include: A 4.1 BMW racing differential, really tightening the gear ratios for track. A full stainless exhaust system from headers back, which sounds incredible! (I have the stock muffler if it is too loud). A light flywheel & racing clutch system. An upgraded suspension kit (KW v2) with front and rear coilovers, camber plates and H&R sway bars, lowering the car 30mm and making it corner extremely well. Brake rotors have been updgraded to vented rotors. I have 2 sets of brake pads (street / track) Street pads (Hawk) are track rated anyway, and the track pads (performance friction) are incredible. They have had 2 days use and cost $500, but are too squeaky for the street. I currently have Federal SS winter tires fitted for my daily commute. However, I also have a set of 4 Hankook RS3s for the track costing $1200 last fall. They have had 3 days use. The car has been maintained by a BMW specialist mechanic and had routine brake fluid and oil changes after every track event. In the last 6 months I have had all 6 coils and spark plugs replaced. Also as preventative maintenance for the drivetrain, I had the rod bearings, center support bearing and guibo replaced. I have all receipts over the last 2 years. This car's mechanics are like new and is ready to race!! You are welcome to have it inspected by anyone. |

Will next BMW Project i car be an i6?
Sun, Dec 27 2015BMW may be steadily working its way through the single digits when it comes to the i sub-brand of plug-in vehicles for the next few years. The automaker started with the i3 and the i8, and we heard rumors about an i5 and an i7. Oh, and we've heard about a potential i4, too. None of these have been confirmed. Still, next up is the i6, according to Automobile. There aren't a ton of details, but the all-electric vehicle would be about the same size as the 3-Series line that's long been a workhorse for the German automaker. Like the other Project i vehicles, the i6 would have a lot of carbon fiber in order to reduce weight and help with range extension. The model would also likely have multiple electric motors as well as a state-of-the-art lithium-polymer battery that would provide a big single-charge range, though, again, no specifics on that number. Word got out earlier this year about a supposed i5 model that would be a plug-in hybrid with a gas-powered engine and two electric motors that combine for about 540 horsepower. Other reports said that the four-door sedan would actually fall under the i7 badge. BMW North America chief Ludwig Willisch said this past spring that the sedan in question wouldn't be seeing the light of day any time soon. BMW has already doubled US sales of its two Project i vehicles this year. Through November, Bimmer's sales of its i8 plug-in hybrid quadrupled from a year earlier to about 1,600 units, while sales of the i3 electric vehicle jumped 89 percent from a year earlier to about 9,600 vehicles.

British automakers take costly precautions as Brexit 'no deal' fears grow
Wed, Sep 26 2018LONDON — Carmakers in Britain have triggered some Brexit contingency plans, such as certifying models in the EU, and are working on redrawing production schedules and stockpiling more parts to defend against any loss of unfettered trade after Brexit. The moves are aimed at ensuring plants, which rely on the just-in-time delivery of tens of thousands of components, can keep operating after Brexit on March 29, but will add costs and bureaucracy which could risk their long-term viability. London and Brussels hope to agree a deal by the end of the year to avoid tariffs and trade barriers, but Prime Minister Theresa May's proposals have been criticized by both Brexiteers, who want a cleaner break from the bloc, and the European Union. McLaren Automotive is looking at having its cars certified by both a British and an EU agency to smooth sales. It is also planning to stockpile critical components and change shipments into the EU around Brexit if there is disruption. "I will sell a little more in January and February and plan to pick the volume up in May and give us a leaner period through the change point," Chief Executive Mike Flewitt told Reuters. BMW, which said last week it would move the annual summer-time shutdown of its British Mini plant next year to April, is looking for lorry parking areas and warehousing on both sides of the channel and is seeking to sign contracts to lease certain locations, a spokesman said. It is also investing in IT systems to handle any new red tape as carmakers estimate tens of thousands of new documents could be needed if tariffs and customs are imposed. The German carmaker's Brexit plans are costing millions of pounds, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters. But Honda, which builds 10 percent of Britain's 1.67 million cars at its Swindon plant in southern England, is not in the market to buy "huge amounts of warehousing space," its Europe boss Ian Howells told Reuters. "It's been a very precise calculation or estimation of what components need to be brought in," he said, adding the firm could also alter its output to sell more into the EU at the start of next year. Waste of money? Many British carmakers have also asked suppliers to look into how they would handle delays at ports, executives told Reuters, as thousands of parts, engines and finished models move between Britain and the continent every day.
