For sale is a vehicle you may never have the chance to purchase again. This is a BMW 2011 Frozen Black M3 pre owned still under factory warranty. BMW made 20 of these vehicles all with the same build sheet and released 19 to the public. The final one was retained for the museum in Germany. So as the years go by there will be less and less of these vehicle still available. Most BMW dealership employees don't even know what this car is sense it was released in such limited numbers. BMW had a special 1800 number that I called to attempt to acquire this vehicle.
I'm the original owner and I have had all the maintenance performed at Baron BMW in Kansas City on the date on the mile it was due including alignment inspections and tire balance. This car doesn't see weather it's a third car and with additions to me family and school I would like to give someone else the once in a lifetime opportunity to own this amazing 1 of 20 vehicle. You will never pull up to a vehicle like this at a stop light absolute show stopping vehicle. I've had the vehicle professionally cleaned at the dealer in Kansas City whenever it's needed the dust knocked off to ensure proper care of the paint was taken.
Condition wise this car has been driven. There is a small half inch scratch on the lower part of the right front bumper where something jumped and grabbed it. Also a slight scuff on the drivers front seat. The steering wheel has a spot that feels but doesn't look like a scuff. There is normal wear on door handles and deck lid truck area typical of a car that's used and been driven. Please email with any additional questions or pictures on condition.

BMW confirms M4 DTM for next season
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Fans of BMW performance had two events to keep an eye on this weekend: the reveal of the M4 Concept at Pebble Beach, and the efforts of the Bavarian automaker's DTM teams at the Nurburgring. What ties them together, however, is what BMW has in store for next year.
The German carmaker has confirmed that it's already working on a new M4 DTM to campaign in the highly-competitive touring car series starting next season. It didn't reveal any details, but we can expect the M4 to make the same jump to competition spec as the M3 did before it. And with some success, we might add: successive versions of the M3 have won 48 DTM races over the years, starting with the checkered flag which Harald Grohs claimed at Hockenheim in 1987 through to the same race which Augusto Farfus won earlier this year. After taking home the title for BMW in its first year back in DTM last season, Bruno Spengler also won at the Red Bull Ring in Austria two months ago, but the Bimmer teams seem to be having a bit of trouble defending its title against fresh assaults from Audi and Mercedes.
BMW undoubtedly hopes the new M4 DTM will help it turn another new leaf, and we're looking forward to seeing how it all shapes up. Read more in the press release below.
BMW looking to fix i3 acceleration problem uncovered by Consumer Reports
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The BMW i3 has been hailed in some quarters as the future of electric mobility, what with its innovative carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic body and commitment to sustainable materials wherever possible. The modernist little hatch is even available with a 650cc two-cylinder gas engine with 34 horsepower to act as a range-extender for those who want it. However, that optional engine might have a drawback - at least for the moment.
Consumer Reports brought the problem to light when one of its drivers was behind the wheel of an i3 using the range-extender. When the driver attempted to pass another vehicle on a rolling, two-lane road, the BMW suddenly had no power to accelerate - a scary situation. CR started examining the car and found something pretty shocking: After driving at a constant speed for a while without any regenerative braking in range-extended mode, acceleration to 60 miles per hour plummeted from about 9 seconds normally to a staggering 27 to 40 seconds in their testing.
A BMW spokesperson told CR that it knows about the problem and has a fix coming next spring that also works on current models. The upgrade includes a state of charge indicator, a warning about loss of power and uses the car's navigation to boost the battery before driving on rolling terrain. It is not clear if the severe power deficiency will also eventually result in a recall.
