For sale is my 2003 BMW M3 with the SMG transmission.   Its very good condition and been well maintained.. I am the past 3 owners which you would see on carfax.. Let me explain  I purchased this car years ago, then went to get a divorce so I sold it for the moment to my father, whom after the divorce sold it back to me. So as you can see I technically owned it the whole time but I wasnt going to let her try and take my cars from me..  I am selling only cause I have had it for a long time and im ready to move on and buy a srt8 jeep.

Car 2 years ago around 8K miles ago had the clutch, flywheel, and SMG pump replaced at kimberly BMW in Davenport iowa..  While there for that, it had inspection 2 completed, new plugs, coils, waterpump, vanos check, valves checked, fuel filter etc..  I also heard the fears of subframe problems so I had them look for cracks and replace the differential and subframe bushings which at the time was part of a recall.   They also reenfoced the frame too somehow not sure how but they did.. I have never had a problem and its now new anyways..

Last year I had the body shop paint the car Dupont Hot Rod Black (matte) paint, and then trim it out in carbon fiber.. The front CSL diffuser is carbon, the rear diffuser is carbon, the roof is simplated carbon with the moonroof, and the hood is a siebon carbon GTR hood which is painted matte to match the car but left the grill and vents carbon.. It looks very sharp!!    Car also has 19" BMW CSL wheels in black with new tires as of 2 years ago so around 8k miles on them, so i would estimate 75-80% tred life is left on them.. exterior is 9/10 shape.

Interior is in great shape but not OEM either.. Most is however leather is in good shape and I have conditioned it and cleaned it once a year. the floor mats are oem.. the dash is overlayed with carbon fiber, and the radio is now a sony USB cd player so I can use my Ipod..  The speakers are now Alpine type r 6.5" component sets powered by a small 4 channel amp in the trunk.. Sounds very good and doesnt look out of place..    Other than that and 35% window tint the interior is OEM...   7/10 condition mostly cause its not all OEM stuff.   The rear view mirror is cracked also. My nephew show it with a bb gun years back.. not joking.. But its what happened.. I took a photo to show you as its not noticable but it is there and i want to be honest with the buyer..

Driveline and engine is like i said uptodate always got 10w60 oil and I will include a gallon of it with new oil filter and a fuel filter with purchase to prove what oil is used and has been used by me.. Car is bone stock performance wise and is OEM.. Only thing not stock is the differential which now has 3.91 gears in it which was installed by a shop in chicago.. it by far is the best mod these cars can get!! its a much quicker car now!!  the gears are OEM BMW and its been done for near 3 years now.. have never had an issue..  9/10 diveline condition.

Car will come with dr beasleys wash and sealant for the matte paint care, so please dont wax the paint.. use this sealant only it keeps it dull but protects it and it smells great.. keeping the car clean is as easy as a car was wash and rinse then towl dry.. thats it... nothing else needed.. its very easy and looks amazing!!!

Car had 6000k HID headlights and fog lights that are very bright!!!  Xenon or whatever you call them.. its loaded minus the navigation system.

I have a loan out on the car so buyer will need to go to the bank with me to release the title but no problem at all.. I listed the car at 97000 miles but is actually under it, but i daily drive this car sometimes right now and by the time the buyer would pick it up chances are it will be a hair over 97000 miles.. so just letting you know.. Its a great car and I have no doubts driving this car anywhere or on a road trip its tip top.. great shape.. and like i said i drive this car often so it should prove to my word that its in good shape..   any questions please ask me and i will answer..

My ebay account is new but its only made to sell this car.. it is what I say it is, and you the buyer will see it in person with a title so you know its no issue.. car is located in davenport iowa..

BMW M6 gets new Competition Package

Sun, May 17 2015

With 560 horsepower on tap, the BMW M6 is already plenty powerful and capable. Those looking for an extra boost, however, may be interested in the new Competition Package. While BMW already offered a Competition Package before, the new one is even more powerful. Where the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 in the standard M6 produces 560 hp and the previous Competition Package boosted that to 575, the new one bumps it up to a nice round 600 – torque jumping from the standard 501 lb-ft to 516 with the new package. That means the M6 Coupe with the new package in place will now run to 62 miles per hour from a standstill in 3.9 seconds and on to 124 mph in 11.8. Top speed is electronically limited (as usual) to 155 mph, but can be derestricted to 189 if you also specify the M Driver's Package. Of course, this upgraded M6 isn't all about straightline speed: the package also includes firmer springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, as well as a retuned differential, steering and stability control. Unique 20-inch alloys and black chrome tailpipes also form part of the package that will be available for the M6 Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible starting in July. Before you get too excited, keep in mind this announcement is for Europe. We're standing by for information on US availability. In the meantime, check out all the details in the press release below. More potent Competition Package for BMW M6 Coupe, BMW M6 Gran Coupe and BMW M6 Convertible. Munich. In July 2015 BMW M GmbH will replace the existing Competition Package for the BMW M6 Coupe, BMW M6 Gran Coupe and BMW M6 Convertible with an upgraded version. The new Competition Package has been developed with a keen eye on enhancing driving dynamics. It includes a power boost for the 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology (BMW M6 Coupe/BMW M6 Gran Coupe/BMW M6 Convertible: fuel consumption combined: 9.9/9.9/10.3 l/100 km [28.5/28.5/27.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 231/231/239 g/km)* of 29 kW/40 hp over the standard unit, to 441 kW/600 hp. Peak torque also rises, from 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) in standard tune to 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), and is available across an extremely wide rev band – between 1,500 and 6,000 rpm. New personal best for the BMW M6 Coupe: 0 – 200 km/h (124 mph) in 11.8 seconds. The three model variants impress with outstanding performance when fitted with the new optional Competition Package.

In-demand BMW i8 deliveries start in June, and it's more efficient than we thought

Thu, Mar 13 2014

Memo to Elon Musk: objects in the rear-view mirror may be closer than they appear. In this case, it's a couple of plug-in BMWs. And they represent the closest thing to a true competitor for Musk and the Tesla Motors electric vehicles. The German automaker re-confirmed that demand for its upcoming i8 plug-in hybrid will exceed the initial supply batch, though BMW didn't release any specific numbers, Reuters says. BMW will start production next month with deliveries commencing in June for the 362-horsepower i8. The news is consistent with a November estimate from BMW that indicated that the first year of i8s were essentially spoken for in advance. We learned in late January that the number of i3 battery-electric vehicles imported to the US won't meet demand during that vehicle's first year of sales either. Here's the thing: all these people were interested in the i8 when BMW said the car got the equivalent of 94 miles per gallon. Turns out, those calculations were a bit off. Reuters also notes that the new numbers show the i8 gets 112 MPGe. That's on the lenient European cycle, but if anyone was holding out for an i8 with triple-figure fuel economy, your time (to get on the waiting list) has come.Motley Fool proposed late last month that BMW is positioned to be Tesla's only real competition when it comes to high-performance plug-in vehicles. The reasoning was that the BMW plug-ins, like the Teslas, are being built from scratch and don't just have EV powertrains dropped into existing vehicle platforms. Whether or not the competition is truly a two-team race is something we're not sure is completely decided yet, but we know it'll be fun to watch unfold either way. Want proof? Check out Autoblog's enjoyable First Drive of the i8 here.

BMW i8 pitted against M4 in sibling rivalry track battle

Wed, Jan 7 2015

We recently watched Auto Bild challenge the BMW i8 against the M4 in a German drag race of decide the quicker of the inter-brand rivals. The hybrid took a commanding victory in that fight. However, Autocar now has a new battle for the two coupes. The siblings are together again on the Castle Combe Circuit to find out which of them offers the more enjoyable experience at the track. Unfortunately, we don't ever get a perfect point of comparison in the video because host Steve Sutcliffe never does a full lap in anger with either of them to set a time. Instead, he focuses more on how the BMWs feel behind the wheel. Sutcliffe also admits midway through the clip that the i8's electric motor is out of juice to power the front axle's electric motor. That only leaves the hybrid with its 228-horsepower and 236-pound-feet-of-torque turbocharged three-cylinder to spin the rear wheels. Still, Sutcliffe spends ample time explaining the benefits and downfalls of driving these coupes. See where his opinion falls between the M4 as the traditional German sports coupe and the i8 as the new-school hybrid in the video, above.
