I am selling my 2002 BMW M3. I have 2000 BMW e46 328i and a e39 540i, that I just put a ton of work into and I have decided to keep those instead. I would keep this car but my 328i is going to be a better daily driver. 919-539-3768

For the price of the M3 with the loaded options, you are not going to find one priced better in all of NC. The engine is in great condition with no ticks or vanos issues.

There is a small ding in the radiator support near the hood pin. This causes the hood to be misaligned by about 1/8". I have a brand new radiator support from BMW to include with the car that will fix this (Pictured). I also have some extra M calipers to include with the car (Pictured). The car is lowered causing minor rubbing when you turn very sharp in a parking lot.

The car currently reads 59,000 miles on the odometer. The actual mileage is right around 132K. It was replaced with the current odometer right around 130K miles with 57K miles on the replaced odometer. The carfax will show this. This is a completely loaded out M3 and the specs are below.

I just redid the interior pillars in the car and replaced the SMG relay. The car has new angel eyes as well. I have the rear BMW Roundel that is not in the picture. I will in install this before the car is sold. Call or text 919-539-3768

Features:

-Titanium Silver Metallic with Imola Red interior (Black Pasti-dipped Roof/mirrors, I can remove this if you don't like it)

-Cold Weather Package (heated seats, ski pass through for trunk, washer nozzles for headlights)

-Premium package (Moonroof, Drivers Seat memory, Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers, Automatic headlights, Nappa Leather Upholstery, Adjustable seat back with Lumber and electronic Adjustable Bolsters)

-Park Distance Control

-Xenon Headlights

-Navigation System

-Harmon Kardon Sound System

-SMG Manual Gearbox

- New 19" BBS CY Rims (8.5" Width Front/9.5" Width Rear)

-New Michelin Pilot Sports on the front

-2004+ LED tail lights

The Good:

-The leather seats are in great condition with not rips or tears

-The headliner is not sagging or falling down at all

-The engine is in great shape with no Check Engine Lights or any codes

-New Michelin Pilot Sports on the front rims.

Things that need attention:

-Will need new rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs). You can feel it when you hit any potholes, I have a technician who will do all of this including alignment for $200. These go for $32 for both here online. This is a pretty simple fix that you will be able to do if you are mechanically inclined.

-Airbag Light is on

-Coolant Sensor Needs to be replaced (Comes on intermittently even when the levels are fine)

-Radio does not work, may be a fuse, but the full navigiation system lights up and everything works along with the onboard computer (all speakers all work, you can plug your phone up)

-Fog lights don't work (I Have new ones)

-SMG light comes on intermittently. I have not had a single issue with the SMG popping out of gear or getting stuck in gear. The light is most likely due to a sensor that needs to be replaced. You can test drive the car to check the SMG.

-The hood flew up on the previous owner and the corners has some minor wrinkles (might not be able to see in the picture) in the corner near the windshield and a small dent in the hood (The dent can be repaired by a paintless dent removal specialist for $150)

-The current bumper seems to have been screwed in by the previous owner, this causes a small gas where each screw is pressing down on the bumper right under the kidney grills

-The driver side A pillar is missing the SRS airbag cover strip (Common), this is $18 online.

This is everything that I could list that is wrong with the car. I have the auction set at $8,500 with NO RESERVE and a buy it now of $10,600. I would prefer local pickup only. I am located in Raleigh NC. Please call or text if you have any questions 919-539-3768

Best sport sedans for 2022 and 2023

Thu, Nov 11 2021

SUVs dominate the car industry at every size and price level, but some people still prefer the looks, and more importantly, the performance and comfort, of the traditional sedan. With a lower ride height, lighter weight and generally smaller size, they often are much more fun to drive, and can even be more comfortable. Sport sedans of course lean harder on the performance side of things, and are among the best options for sheer speed and fun, thanks to those inherent characteristics. We've rounded up the ones in the segment that do the sporty dance better than any others in 2024 to give you a handy guide when you're shopping for one of your own. You'll find a wide array of cars here including gas, electric and hybrid powertrains. They'll have manual and automatic transmissions and drive the front, rear or all four wheels. Technically a few hatchbacks have slipped in, but they're close enough in look and feel that we wanted to include them. And excluding them means you might miss out on some of the best-driving options available. You wouldn't want that, would you? Alfa Romeo Giulia Why it stands out: Punchy four-cylinder; astounding power from Quadrifoglio; light and nimble character; awesome shift paddlesCould be better: Clunky infotainment; sub-par switchgear Read our Alfa Romeo Giulia review We start this list with one of the most predictable inclusions: the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Yes, it's a stereotype that the Italian sport sedan is fun to drive, but the fact is, well, it is. The Giulia comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 280 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful four-cylinders in the segment. It's paired with a snappy and smooth eight-speed transmission and either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.  The engine is lively and torquey, if a little short of revs, and the chassis feels super-light. The steering is eager and the car jumps into corners. We also highly recommend getting a version with the enormous and superb aluminum paddle shifters that make clicking through gears much more entertaining. And on the topic of the interior, it's attractive, but the various switches and knobs feels a little cheap, and the infotainment system is clunky. Of course there's also the incredible Giulia Quadrifoglio at the high end. It gets a Ferrari-derived twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 making 505 hp, and it's rear-wheel drive only.

BMW names new CEO, chairman and head of development

Tue, Dec 9 2014

Big changes are afoot in the top ranks at BMW, as the Bavarian automaker has announced not just one, but several appointments in the top floors of its towering headquarters in Munich in what the company itself is referring as "a generational change" in its leadership. The biggest change relates to the chairman of BMW's management board – German-speak for the company's chief executive officer. Effective at the end of the company's Annual General Meeting on May 13, 2015, the company will be run by Harald Kruger. The 49-year-old mechanical engineer has been with BMW since 1992 and has sat on its board since 2008, and has until now been responsible for production for the entire BMW Group. The chairmanship of the board of management currently belongs to Dr. Norbert Reithofer, whom the management is endorsing to chair the supervisory board (which Americans might call the board of directors). That role in turn is currently held by Professor Joachim Milberg, who will step down from his position in order to make way for Reithofer to take his place. Milberg is earmarked to remain with the company to oversee its corporate social responsibility and charitable activities. BMW has also announced the appointment of Klaus Frohlich to serve as its head of development with immediate effect. In his new capacity, Frohlich replaces Dr. Herbert Diess, who in turn has left Munich to take over the Volkswagen passenger car division. Below you'll find statements from both BMW and VW on their new appointments. BMW Group takes steps to initiate a generational change at the head of the Board of Management and Supervisory Board 09.12.2014 - Harald Kruger to become Chairman of the Board of Management in May 2015 - Dr. Norbert Reithofer proposed to succeed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board - Prof. Joachim Milberg to take leading role in the BMW Group's worldwide CSR activities and charitable foundations - Klaus Frohlich appointed to Board of Management with responsibility for Development Munich . At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of BMW AG took the first steps to initiate a generational change at the head of the company's Board of Management and Supervisory Board. Harald Kruger will become Chairman of the Board of Management effective the end of the Annual General Meeting on 13 May 2015. The current Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, will be put forward for election to the Supervisory Board at the 2015 Annual General Meeting.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
