In 1986 BMW Motorsport had one goal on their mind. To design and build a powerful, lightweight derivative of the three series. Thus the E30 M3 was born. Its purpose, to dominate in FIA Group A racing. Only five-thousand were hand built by BMW Motorsport.
The first generation M3 was was released in Europe in 1986, but was not introduced to the US Market until the following year. The E30 M3 stayed in production until 1990. In those four short years, the nimble sports car scored thousands of victories making it one of the more successful touring cars in history! Winning more races than any single BMW model ever, including European, German, and World Touring car championships. It also won races such as the 24 Hours of Nrburgring and Spa. It’s ticket to success lied within the heart of the vehicle, the 2.3L four-Cylinder engine with twin-cam four-Valve head and Bosche fuel-injection,rated at 192 HP, paired with the lightweight chassis brought the car zero to sixty MPH in only 6.5 seconds. It’s top speed a whopping 146 MPH. In August 2010 Automobile Magazine featured the BMW E30 M3 in their article, “5 Greatest Cars of All Time: Driver’s Cars”. Car and Driver listed the BMW E30 M3 as one of the “10 Cars to Drive Before You Die”. The E30 M3 is a benchmark even for modern sports cars of today.
With BMW celebrating the E30 M3’s 25th Anniversary in 2011, these cars have been going up in value. Being the first generation of the M3, it is already a collectible and sure to be a MUST HAVE collectible.
With less than 42,000 miles, this beautiful white on tan E30 will no disappoint.

Recharge Wrap Up: VW's Last Mile Surfer, Apple's BMW i3
Tue, Jul 28 2015Volkswagen has unveiled its Last Mile Surfer. This little electric scooter – it folds up small enough to fit in the trunk and weighs just 24 pounds – will go on sale next year for around 1,000 euros ($1,100 US), according to VW chairman Martin Winterkorn, as reported by Autocar. Of course, we're wondering why you'd need to pay that much money to avoid walking a mile, but maybe we just haven't walked that far in an interested buyer's shoes. See more at Autocar. Did Apple want to use the BMW i3 as the basis for its own electric car? That's the word from the German magazine Manager, which says that Apple and BMW were talking about using the i3 shell for the plug-in iCar (or whatever) started last fall but are no longer actively taking place, but the two organizations have not totally closed off communication. Read more at Manager or at Green Car Reports. BMW is continuing its efforts to connect your car to your phone in interesting ways with the new EnLighten app. The idea here is to let your phone act as a bridge between alerts about traffic signals and the car, so that notifications can be displayed in the dash instead of on your phone. That should keep more eyes on the road and let drivers minimize those races to the next red light, which will save fuel. At least, it will do so in cities that broadcast that sort of signal information. Read more in the press release below. Traffic City Info Makes Driving in Cities Easier than Ever Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – July 27, 2015... The BMW Group announced today that it is the first manufacturer to bring the EnLighten App, by Connected Signals, into the car. Drivers of BMW Vehicles with iOS Devices will be able to see traffic signal data on the vehicle's display in real time. The EnLighten app makes driving in cities easier by helping the driver anticipate traffic signal changes, which can increase safety and help save fuel by avoiding unnecessary acceleration. The EnLighten app shows the current status of the traffic light in front of the car in real time as well as a countdown to when the signal will change. Based on the current vehicle position, as well as its speed, the EnLighten app offers a recommendation about whether or not to stop for the traffic light or proceed through. An audio alert notifies the driver about a pending change in the signal they are approaching.
Hands-on with BMW's Open Mobility Cloud at CES
Fri, Jan 8 2016BMW had a bevy of cutting-edge technology ready for the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show that ran the gamut from a laser headlight for motorcycles to replacing the mirrors on an i8 with rear-facing cameras. The German automaker's most potentially life-changing (or most creepy, depending on your attitude) concept was the Open Mobility Cloud that aimed to connect the vehicle with a person's daily agenda, sort of like the way many folks use their smartphones. The tech includes a sci-fi piece of furniture called the Mobility Mirror that looks straight out of Star Trek. The pane of glass displays everywhere a person needs to go during the day, offers appointment reminders, and tracks vehicle charging. It even sends an autonomous car out of the garage when the owner picks up the key to leave the house. Get a better look at this cutting-edge connection between the home and the automobile from Autoblog editor-in-chief Michael Austin, direct from CES.
BMW M4 sheds some camouflage for latest test run
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Last time we saw the upcoming BMW M4 out testing, it was heavily clad with camouflage and decidedly homely looking (as most early development mules are). But in this latest set of photos, the M3 coupe successor has started to come into its own skin, and we're seeing a shape more closely akin to that of a rendering we brought you a few months back.
Unsurprisingly, the M4 coupe looks very similar to the 4 Series Concept that BMW debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. And while non-M version of the 4er will likely look a bit more sedate, these spy shots clearly show an aggressive front fascia, large wheels and the usual quad-exhaust rounding out the rear end.
Naturally, the M3 sedan will launch before this M4 coupe (and convertible), and powertrain details are still unclear as of this writing. We understand that the current M3's naturally aspirated V8 will be axed in favor of some sort of turbocharged six-cylinder engine, and we've heard plenty of rumors as to what, exactly, it might be, but we have yet to hear any official confirmation.
