2006 Bmw Z4 Coupe 3.0si Coupe 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Van Wyck, South Carolina, United States
2006 BMW Z4 COUPE with the 3.0 six, and the 6 spd. transmission.
It has heated seats , I believe it has the sport package on it hence the sport button on the console. The paint is in good shape with no dents and it has what looks to be a ding guard coating on the front end. The interior looks great with no rips , scratches , or stains anywhere . The tires are original and the rears are getting a little thin but the fronts are about 60 percent. |

BMW M2 claims 7:58 'Ring time in video
Thu, Oct 15 2015BMW really, really wants us to believe the new M2 is a return to form for the high-performance sub-brand. In its initial release on the car, it drew a strong, explicit link to not only the 1 Series M Coupe – easily its most direct ancestor – but also to the original E30 M3, which is basically the M2's granddaddy. Further underscoring this link, BMW has paired the M2 with the 1M Coupe and ur-M3 for a new video where it reveals that the newest M car will lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just 7:58. While that isn't as fast as the M4 – we're betting that vehicle's fan base just let out a huge sigh of relief – it's quicker than the E92 M3, which is certainly something worth boasting about. Check out the video up top to see the new M2 dice with its predecessors, and then head back and check out our original post on the newest M car.
Did BMW really win the luxury car sales race?
Sun, Feb 14 2016As anyone who follows our monthly By The Numbers series already knows, the luxury car sales race in the United States was close all of last year as BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz seesawed up and down for sales supremacy. At the end of the year, it was BMW on top of the standings with 346,023 total sales. Or was it? According to data released by Polk, comparing the actual number of vehicles registered between the three top luxury players in the US paints a slightly different picture. Polk's data suggests that only 335,259 BMWs were registered in 2015, compared to 340,392 Lexus models. Why the disparity? It's all a matter of timing. Actual end consumers buy new cars, in almost all cases, from a franchised dealer. BMW delivered 346,023 vehicles in 2015, but only 335,259 of them were registered by their new owners. Presumably, those 11,000 BMWs did (or will) end up registered in the driveways of consumers, but they hadn't before January 1, 2016. Lexus General Manager Jeff Bracken wrote in an email to Automotive News, "Luxury sales leadership as measured by vehicle registrations is important to Lexus as it represents actual consumers engaging directly with our dealers." Of course, it goes without saying that we'll be paying keen attention to the 2016 luxury car sales race as it unfolds. If it's anything like it was in 2015, it'll come down to the wire, and even then may not be entirely clear. BMW X5 eDrive Concept is utilitarian plug-in hybrid
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Bridging the gap between internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and electric vehicles are plug-in hybrids, and BMW has made one out of its biggest sports utility vehicle, even if it's just a concept car at this point. The plug-in hybrid X5 eDrive Concept debuted today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it sits attached to a charge port on the show floor.
As we reported in August, the X5 eDrive Concept combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine of unknown output with a 95-horsepower electric motor, to achieve longer range and lower emissions. The X5 eDrive can drive up to 75 miles per hour and 19 miles on electric power alone, manage about 62 miles per gallon (3.8 liters per 100 kilometers) and accelerate from 0-62 mph in under seven seconds, according to BMW.
Three drive modes are offered: one that automatically operates the hybrid system, an all-electric mode and a Save Battery mode that operates the vehicle using the engine only.
