2008 Bmw X3 3.0si Sport Utility 4-door 3.0l-6 Spd-montego Blue Metallic-florida on 2040-cars
Atlantic Beach, Florida, United States
Have you ever driven a x3? It is the most responsive SUV I have ever driven, I have owned BMW's from a 1986 to a 2005 and a few years in between, I must say this one surprised me. I have driven automatic x3's that belonged to others but driving this 6 speed really allowed me to feel like I was driving a real BMW. It has the pep and performance of any inline 6 3 Series, if you have driven one you will understand what I mean. I was definitely impressed with the space, handling and as always the integrity of the truck as a whole. Over all this is a Fantastic SUV. I really enjoy driving it and the only way to really experience a BMW is to drive a 6 Speed! It is in Great Condition with absolute no cosmetic issues! The Gears Shift Smooth and the Engine Runs Quiet. I LOVE THIS TRUCK! I am selling it for a Friend so if you are a Serious buyer feel free to call the number in the ad. Robbie is the Owners Name. He is a very small dealer. He only buys the best of the best and he actually sells just a few. This is definitely one I have driven and have fallen in love with the vehicle myself, I just have no use for another car. Please look over the photos and please ask all Questions Before Bidding. You will be held accountable for your bids so please only real buyers bid please. Please call 904-860-4122 The Legal Stuff, if you are in the State of Florida you will need to pay Sales Tax, no exceptions. If you are from a state that reciprocates taxes you will need to pay them, no exceptions, this is just the way it is. I am not making this small print it is just the Law. You are buying the vehicle AS IS. You are welcome to have it inspected before you finalize the transaction, my friend will do what ever he can to accommodate you. If there is a cost to inspect it will be your cost so be prepared to pay the inspecting shop directly. You will need Proof of Insurance and a Valid Drivers License to take delivery of the vehicle. The proper paperwork will be provided to you in order to register and title the vehicle in your home state. If you have any other questions please feel free to call the number provided. |

Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
BMW R1200 GS Adventure is made for epic roadtrips
Tue, 08 Oct 2013BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off of its newest GS Adventure model. Based on the R1200 GS, the Adventure trim makes an already tough bike just a bit tougher, thanks to a number of technical changes that improve off-road capabilities without sacrificing any of the R1200 GS' riding manners.
The most noticeable change might be the larger fuel tank, up in size from 5.3 gallons to 7.9 gallons, although this largely due to the Adventure's lower fuel economy - it loses about three miles per gallon to the regular R1200 GS. BMW claims that the larger tank won't inhibit riding comfort, thanks to its narrow design and placement in the bike's frame. The spring travel is 0.8 inches longer, while there's nearly half an inch of extra ground clearance, which is largely responsible for its improve off-road talents. A new, larger seat promises a more comfortable ride and a greater range of adjustability, while a few tweaks within the engine offer an even smoother delivery of the bike's 125 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque.
We have a full gallery of images of the R1200 GS Adventure available up top, along with the entire press release from BMW, which can be found by scrolling down.
BMW 8 Series turns 25 [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014From the very beginning, the BMW 8 Series was a head turner. It was hardly a common sight in the first place, and the angular lines and low, pointed nose made the GT look like something special on the road. It's been 25 years since the Bavarian brand's flagship coupe of the '90s debuted, and owners celebrated the anniversary in style in Germany.
The 8 Series still looks great today, but its popup headlights give away its age a little. You just don't see them anymore. It was introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show as the 850i with a 5.0-liter V12 under the hood capable of 295 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Later, even bigger V12s would find their way in there. Production lasted until 1999, but they were rather exclusive with 30,621 built in its lifetime.
To celebrate the anniversary, several BMW clubs organized 120 examples for display at the company's headquarters in Munich. The brand took advantage of the display to show off the ultimate 8 prototype as well. The one-off special packed a 550-horsepower V12 and a body with optimized aero. That engine eventually became the basis for the one in the McLaren F1.
