Up for sale....my 2005 BMW X3. Engine is the 3.0 inline 6 cylinder with automatic transmission. Mileage is 112,500 miles.
This Bimmer is ready to go. It has newer tires, and a recent battery, spark plugs and oil change. The cooling system service/upgrade was just done in spring which included coolant flush, a new water pump with upgraded steel impeller, and an upgraded aluminum waterpump drive pulley (factory ones were plastic), also replaced were both upper and lower radiator hoses, both external accessory belts, thermostat, and a expansion tank. At the same time the pvc/oil separator system was also serviced with all new parts including the re-designed oil dipstick drainback tube, which was purchased directly from International Autos in Milwaukee Wisconsin
BMW's need servicing on the cooling system and the pvc/oil separator systems every 100,000 miles....this X3 just received all of this service and is ready to enjoy. I figured that long as I was under the hood, I would do ALL the suggested maintenance and be done with it.
This X3 was just treated to a full porter job at a local detail shop. The entire interior was shampoo cleaned and detailed. The exterior was 3 stage polished and waxed, and the engine compartment was cleaned and detailed as well. This X3 has a few very minor chips etc.....But overall condition in my opinion is "above average, excellent condition" This BMW was well taken care of, and it shows.
The motor runs perfect, transmission shifts perfect, no leaks, and no check engine lights. The "X-drive" all wheel drive system works excellent in the snow. This X3 comes with all of the usual options including the factory HID Xenon headlamps and panoramic sunroof. Also included but not pictured is a full set of WEATHER-TECH floor mats, which costed several hundred dollars when purchased new.
Reason for selling is because my wife found an Acura RDX that she really likes...so its time to let this one go to a new home. I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE IN HAND. I welcome and encourage buyers to view and test drive this BMW before purchasing it. This BMW is located where I live, which is in Racine Wisconsin. I live about 20 minutes south of Mitchell International Airport. I can pick you up at the airport if needed..winning buyers are responsible for shipment arrangements if you choose to have it shipped.

AC Schnitzer's hotrod BMW 318ti remembered by MotorWeek
Thu, Apr 7 2016There are plenty of compact luxury cars available in the US today, including the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series, and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class. In the '90s, the BMW 318ti tried to offer a similar mix of luxury at a reasonable price, but it never quite found much success in America. The 318ti looked like an E36-generation 3 Series in front but featured a stumpy liftback at the rear. The only engine available in the US was a four-cylinder. If you had the money, though, the aftermarket was ready to give you more power and more aggressive looks. AC Schnitzer dropped a bored and stroked 3.0-liter inline-six under the hood to create a pocket-sized hot rod, and MotorWeek took it for a drive. The model in this video was the promo car for AC Schnitzer's US importer, and it had every upgrade possible to show off what the German tuner's produced. Under the hood, the company installed an upgraded engine with 241 horsepower and 228 pound-feet of torque. For comparison, a US-spec M3 of the era had 240 horsepower and either 225 or 236 lb-ft, depending on the model year. AC Schnitzer also sharpened the 318ti with a suspension overhaul and short shifter. According to MotorWeek's tests, the mods got the hatchback to 60 miles per hour in 6 seconds and gave 318ti laudable handling. So much performance wasn't cheap, though. The upgrades on the promo car cost more than twice as much as the 318ti's base price. Watch this Retro Review to find out the massive amount you needed to pay to get M3 performance in a tiny package. Recharge Wrap-up: No Tesla Gigafactory deal with California, BMW i3 recalled
Thu, Sep 4 2014Before the Nevada announcement was hinted at, a deal to incentivize a Tesla Gigafactory in California fell through. Tesla was looking for around $500 million in incentives, which the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development was willing to offer in tax breaks along with making the permit and environmental processes easier. According to Senator Ted Gaines, there still remained "a gap between what Tesla wanted and what California was willing to offer," the contents of which were undisclosed. California could still be chosen for another of Tesla's battery plants, should those ever materialize. Read more at The Desert Sun. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will consider allowing a bit of compliance flexibility to its Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) regulations for some automakers. CARB will hold a hearing to discuss giving intermediate volume manufacturers (IVMs) - carmakers that do between 4,501 and 60,000 new vehicle sales in the state - some leniency catching up to the larger manufacturers when it comes to clean vehicle production. The ZEV regulation changes take into account the amount of revenue IVMs have available for developing the cars, particularly plug-in hybrids. For cars built March 31, 2014, the passenger airbag inflator may have been assembled incorrectly, which could keep it from deploying when needed. Owners will be notified by BMW, and the problem will be fixed for free. The recall also affects certain 2014 Mini Cooper models. Learn more at the NHTSA website. The cars, which will include the Nissan Leaf, Nissan e-NV200, Renault ZOE and Renault Kangoo ZE, will be used mostly for carsharing. Through the program, Orange employees can book a car for work or personal travel using a smartphone. The Alliance will also help Orange install charging stations for the new cars. The addition of the EVs to the fleet will help Orange achieve its goal of reducing its carbon footprint by 20 percent by 2020. Read more in the press release, below. BMW i3 with range extender won't get all the EV tax benefits in NJ
Wed, Jun 4 2014Everyone loves that new-car smell, but not everyone loves that new-car tax. And whoever in New Jersey thought the extended-range version of the BMW i3 plug-in would be exempt from said tax was sorely mistaken, Green Car Reports says. To paraphrase the Garden State's favorite son, Bruce Springsteen, the first kick those drivers will take is when they hit the ground. BMW said last year that the BMW REx would qualify for new-car tax exemptions in New Jersey and in Washington State. The car's all-electric range was recently estimated at 72 miles and it has another 87 miles of gas-powered range-extended capability. Unfortunately, the range extender not only tacks on $3,850 to the car's sticker price but adds on almost that much again because New Jersey's seven-percent sales tax applies to all cars with any sort of gas-powered engine. BMW didn't respond to a request for comment about the New Jersey situation from AutoblogGreen. In other New Jersey electric vehicle news, the Consumer Affairs Committee of the New Jersey State Assembly will discuss the legality of Tesla selling directly to consumbers tomorrow. The extended-range i3 is involved in a different issue on the other side of the country. BMW said earlier this year that the REx would qualify for California's white zero-emission vehicle stickers that allow for solo access to high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. These unlimited white stickers can go on any EV, but the REx version only qualifies for the green stickers, which are designated for plug-in hybrids and extended-range plug-ins and the state has run out of those.
