Hello, and thank you for viewing my 2007 BMW M6 Convertible. It is finished in Silverstone paint / Black convertible top over Black Merino Full Leather trim. This M6 has all of the standard features, plus the following options:

1. Comfort Access Package

2. Head Up Windshield Display

3. LOGIC 7 Premium Sound System / DVD Navigation System / 6 Disc CD Changer

4. Full Merino Leather Seating / Dash / Console / Door Panels

5. Madeira Walnut Wood Trim

This M6 is a HEAD TURNER! The color combination is stunning, and the glossy Silverstone paint completes the package. The 500 HP V10 engine is amazingly fast! The exhaust note is incredible! And, as with any BMW I have owned, this car is solid, quiet and handles supremely well.

The condition of my M6 is worth several words. The paint is glossy and has just had a paint sealant applied. The convertible top cloth looks brand new, both inside and out. The accident-free body of my car has ZERO scrapes,  door dings, dents, scratches or scuffs. The bumpers are perfect, with ZERO scuffs. There is ZERO clouding of the headlamp lenses. The windshield is NOT pitted. The ONLY exterior flaws worth mentioning are (5) very minor stone chips on the hood and one chip on the passenger door. These have been touched up, of course. The interior leather, wood, trim and carpeting is like new (with the exception of the common wear on the driver seat side bolster). The trunk carpeting is 100% FLAWLESS! The Michelin Sport tires are new, and have ONLY 1,000 miles on them. BMW service is current and all features operate / function as they should!

Included with the sale of this M6 will be the original floor mats, all books and manuals, navigation DVD, BMW paint touch up kit and two key fobs.

I have tried to be as thorough as possible. However, this is my first time listing an item on EBAY. I trust I covered all the necessary details. Please contact me with any questions that you might have. Also, I welcome any personal / professional inspection of my M6. You will not be disappointed!

BMW 4 Series Convertible basks in the sun

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

The BMW 4 Series Convertible will show its non-camouflaged face sometime later this year, but our spies recently caught this nearly naked prototype out getting some sun. As you'll recall, the droptop 4 Series replaces the 3 Series Convertible in the BMW range, and if our recent stint behind the wheel of the new 435i Coupe is anything to go on, this topless 4er should be quite a fun runabout for sun-drenched motoring.
To no one's surprise, the 4 Series Convertible shares all of its design with the 4 Series coupe, save, of course, the obvious roofectomy. Beyond that, the topless 2+2 will use the same engines and transmissions as the coupe, meaning it should arrive in the US in both 428i and 435i guises, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four and 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, respectively. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions will be available.
The car spied this time around has the full M Sport visual treatment, with the revised (and better-looking) front fascia, larger 19-inch wheels, and attractive Melbourne Red paint. Interestingly, it appears this prototype has the standard xenon headlamp setup, rather than the full-LED option that's also available.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.

Next-gen BMW X3 caught in the cold

Sun, Mar 15 2015

The BMW X3 might be getting a bit long in the tooth, but fans of the sporty CUV can rest easy knowing that Munich hasn't forgotten about it. The third-generation crossover was caught squeezing in some end-of-season winter testing by our trusty spy photographers. According to our spies, the 2017 X3, code-named G01, will be underpinned by a new modular platform that promises more space in the cabin and better visibility out. Beyond that, the next X3 will get a range of B-series engines; expect four- and six-cylinder options, as well as a plug-in-hybrid option (eventually). Our spies also report that BMW will finally offer some more performance-oriented options, starting with an X3 M40i and eventually expanding into a X3 M. Beyond the oily bits, it looks like the X3's looks are set to evolve, growing slightly compared to its predecessor. BMW's trippy camouflage, though, prevents a closer analysis of the next-gen CUV's styling. Check out our full gallery of spy shots to see what's coming for the X3.
