2006 BMW M6 SMG V10 coupe, 73800 miles. Car is in great shape. Runs and drives as it should without issue. Up to date with all service except brake fluid change is now due. Castrol TSW oil always used. Car was inspected last year by local BMW dealer and given a clean bill of health and all software updated. Only know issue is one parking sensor is out in the rear bumper. Of course the M6 comes with every option known to man. Voice command, navi, heated seats, cd changer, power windows, locks, seat, and the list goes on. Extras on this car include - 20" MRR wheels with almost new Hankook tires, custom Magnaflow exhaust, RPI ram air kit, BMC F1 filters. Stock exhaust is included with this auction. Toyota passes BMW as most valuable car brand
Tue, 21 May 2013An annual market study of the strongest brands across various industries has seen Toyota leapfrog BMW as the world's most valuable automotive brand. Toyota's 2013 brand value rose to $24.5 billion, up 12 percent versus 2012 numbers according to market research company Millward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list. BMW's value fell slightly; down by 2 percent to a total of $24 billion.
Mercedes-Benz finished in third place in the automotive category, up 11 percent from 2012 for a valuation of $18 billion. Honda ($12.4 billion, down 2 percent) and Nissan ($10.2 billion, up 3 percent) rounded out the top five for the category. Volkswagen was the only other auto brand that finished in the top 100 overall, in 100th place. Audi made the greatest percentage gain over 2012, up 18 percent to $5.5 billion, but finished outside of the top 100.
Technology companies dominated the overall list, with Apple, Google and IBM ranking one through three. Couture brand Prada was 2013's biggest gainer, rising by 63 percent over 2012.
BMW 1 Series GT spied in 7-seat trim
Mon, 20 May 2013As BMW prepares to introduce its first-ever front-wheel drive car, the upcoming 1 Series GT, it looks like there will be at least two versions of the car. A conventional-looking hatchback was spotted testing late last year, but now we see an extended-length version in order to accommodate a third row of seats.
Judging by these spy shots, this 1 Series GT prototype has received an extended wheelbase, larger rear doors and more upright D-pillars compared to our previous spy shots (show in the gallery below) all with the aim of creating additional passenger and cargo space. Like the smaller 1 Series GT, this longer model would likely carry over the same powertrain options, which are expected to consist of three- and four-cylinder engines, a hybrid system and the choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The 1 Series GT could make its debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but we might have to wait until next year to see the people mover.
