This is a one of a kind 1987 BMW E24 shark. I received it as an inheritance this year, but I do not want to use this classic car as a daily driver, and would rather pass it on to a collector/enthusiast who will appreciate it.
I will be as straight forward as I can about this M6.
The good:
Exterior and Interior are in great condition as you can see on pictures.
All electronics work, no warning lights or codes.
Passed smog less than a month ago without any problems.
Transmission shifts smooth without any grinds.
It was purchased brand new in San Francisco in 1987, and remained in California until this day.
It was never in any accidents, clean title on hand, original adult owner since 1987 until now.
Almost 74k miles, original/stock everything (except rims, which are not available).
Current wheels have Hankook V12 EVO tires with under 2k miles.
Parts that were recently replaced include: Clutch, thermostat, water pump, fuel pump.
The car was always maintained on time, oil changes every 6 month.
The bad:
1. The front lip has minor cracks from entering the garage(see pics)
2. The sunroof exterior panel has a small rust spot (see pics)
3. Trunk has minor scratches (see pics)
4. Faded badges, shrunk dashboard from Cali sun as on most of these leather dashboards (see pics)
5. Cruise control switch is faulty
The car is available locally in Los Angeles/West Hollywood. Delivery can be arranged under buyers costs. Can be shipped internationally or locally after full payment.

BMW sold 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles in 2018
Tue, Jan 8 2019FRANKFURT — German carmaker BMW on Tuesday said it achieved record sales of 2.49 million BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles last year. "BMW Group achieved record sales in 2018. 2.49 million vehicles mean the BMW Group is the world's leading premium automotive company for the 15th year running," Chief Executive Harald Krueger said. In 2017, BMW Group sold 2.46 million vehicles. Daimler has not yet released annual sales figures for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, so it remains unclear whether BMW brand overtook Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales in 2018. Sales of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce cars were higher than Mercedes-Benz in 2017.
World Car Awards finalists snub American-branded vehicles — except for Bronco
Fri, Feb 2 2024The list of World Car Awards has been whittled down to 10 finalists, but only one American brand — Ford — appears among the remaining nine carmakers for this yearÂ’s top award. The Bronco is there, and it also is balloted as a finalist in the design category. The other categories are performance car, urban car, electric vehicle and luxury model. Each category has five finalists except World Car, which has 10. One brand conspicuous by its absence in any category: Tesla. The winner in each is scheduled to be crowned March 27 at the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan. This year marks the 20th year of the World Car Awards and the partnership with the New York show. The selection process involves 100-plus automotive journalists from 29 countries who vote, as they review and test-drive the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards. Their journey is captured virtually on World Car TV. BMW could add all-electric Mini, X3 SUV
Tue, Oct 4 2016BMW's Mini sub-brand will add a battery-electric variant as the company looks to meet stricter emissions mandates around the world, according to an interview Bloomberg News conducted with CEO Harald Krueger. BMW is also planning an all-electric version of its X3 SUV and may start greening up models as large as its 7 Series sedan, though that prospect is far cloudier. The all-electric Mini will be available to the public as soon as 2019, while the battery-electric X3 SUV will likely start sales the following year. BMW didn't offer specifics about how much those models would cost or far they will be able to travel on a full electric charge, with Krueger only saying single-charge ranges would be "competitive" with other all-electric models. BMW this summer upgraded the battery in its i3 electric vehicle and boosted its single-charge range by about 40 percent to 114 miles. As for demand for BMW's i sub-brand vehicles, US sales of the i3 through September fell 27 percent to almost 5,800 vehicles, while sales of the i8 plug-in hybrid are down 19 percent to about 1,100 units, BMW said on Monday. Meanwhile, word got out earlier this year that BMW may dedicate the Rocketman concept hatchback as Mini's entrant to the electric-vehicle sector. BMW actually used a Mini as its first electric testing vehicle. The Mini E was produced in 2009 and 2010 before giving way to the BMW ActiveE, which was actually a converted 1-Series vehicle.
