The Kelly Blue Book value for this remarkable car is $46,486.
This is a beautiful car that I special ordered. As of today, I owe $50,441.74 to BMW Financial. The buy now price of $44,000.00 is the minimum that I will accept prior to the end of the auction, so no need asking for me to unlist for an offer less than that. However, the reserve is set at a very reasonable 39,750.01. If it doesn't sell for at least that amount, I will keep the car or relist it. Under no circumstances will I take less than that, so there is no need to wait for the auction to end and then ask me to take less. It just ain't happening.
This transaction will work as follows (unless we agree to other amicable terms). Once you have agreed to buy the car, we will contact BMW Financial together to make the payment arrangements. All funds will be sent to BMW financial.. You will send a cashier's check for the purchase price (less the $500 deposit) to BMW financial and I will send a cashier's check for the remaining amount owed on the loan (plus the deposit). BMW will keep the funds in escrow until all funds are received and have cleared. The car will then be delivered and the title will be sent directly from BMW Financial to the purchaser. That way we are both protected by the 3rd party (BMW).
The car is in excellent mechanical condition. It is still under warranty until 50K miles.
All services by a BMW dealer. An inspection was conducted by the dealer last week and the report is available. Everything checked out perfect with the following exception: there was a slight warp detected in the front rotors, so brand new rotors will be installed on Tuesday.
I recently purchased new tires for the front. The rear tires were changed out about 7 months ago. All tires were purchased from and installed by the dealer. I also purchased 5 years of insurance on the wheels/tires. I had existing scrapes on two of the wheels repaired about 3 months ago.
The interior is black extended leather (seats, doors, lower dash below trim, steering wheel, shift, center console) with carbon leather trim, all black. It's awesome and in perfect condition.
Premium Sound: This is the most incredible sound system I have ever heard in a car (period).

The exterior is jerez black - deep black with a blue undertint that looks so cool in the sun. There is a small (quarter inch) surface scratch on the hood (see pics). It doesn't show through to the primer so you can't see it until you are up close to the hood. There is a very small ding at the very rear of the roof (see pics). I have no idea how it got there. It looks like a hail dent but I don't think it's ever been in hail. The right rearview mirror has a small scuff that I haven't tried buffing out (see pics). These are all very minor and I'm sure a body shop could take care of them for a couple hundred bucks or if you have any talent in that area yourself (I don't) you can probably do it yourself. I have some touch up paint in case you need it.
I get asked about the higher mileage. I've driven the car to Colorado (Vail area) and Utah (Provo area) twice. Also, my firm's main office is a 3 hour drive from where I live, and I commute there about 2 times a month.

These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss. BMW 2 Series Convertible goes for a drive in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013The BMW 2 Series is the car that will eventually replace the 1 Series here in the United States (remember: the 1 Series moniker will live on to describe the hatchback models in other markets), and while we've seen the new coupe out on the prowl, we're now seeing the droptop version out on the road. We don't have much information about the new 2er models, only that they are expected to bow sometime in 2014.
Dimensionally, the new 2 Series convertible looks very similar in size to its outgoing 1 Series kin, with things like the roofline and roof shape looking nearly identical. Of course, reworked front and rear fascias are immediately noticeable, and judging by what little we can see, it appears as though the small BMW will take many of its design cues from the larger 3 Series rather than the oft-awkward-looking 1 Series hatch that's currently available in Europe.
Assuming things are still on track for 2014, we won't rule out a possible debut in Geneva, though the Frankfurt expo in September makes even more sense.
