Great car. Have enjoyed it very much, and still do!
Time for it to go to a new owner to enjoy. No expenses spared on maintenance, and she has been exceptionally reliable. Selling because I recently bought an X6 which is more appropriate for long distance travel (twin turbo V8 for those who may be curious ;)

Full album with 60+ pictures: Photobucket M3 Album

Has a safe tune estimated around 540bhp..Easily capable of 600+ safely at the expense of a *little* gas mileage.
Runs a solid A/F ratio and delivers a very linear increase in power all the way up to 8k in true ///M fashion

Snow Performance methanol injection with boost controller..keeps the intake charge cool under high performance driving, and raises the octane. You can adjust the activation point, or entirely disable if you don't care to refill the trunk mounted methanol tank on a regular basis.

TC Kline SA coil over suspension with TC Kline camber kit. Recently corner balanced. Handles beautifully.

New APEX ARC 8 satin black wheels.. no curb rash.. just went on a month or two ago- square setup with recent 265 Hankook RS3 tires mounted. Also have a set of BBS LM reps in storage that I'll throw in for a nominal price if you're interested...

Factory Options:
ZCP/Comp Package gives you upgraded brakes and the track mode option..also a super sweet Alcantara steering wheel.
Black leather interior..

Engine/Performance

Active Autowerke Stage 2 Supercharger Kit
Snow Performance methanol injection kit/boost controlled
Performance Headers/Cat delete
BAV Auto Performance coils
Active autowerke blowoff valve
Rogue Engineering Section 1 pipes.
HPF subframe reinforcments
AA short shifter
ZHP shift knob
This thing sounds like a spaceship (quote from my mechanic), and there's no mistaking the blow off valve venting as you pull in at low speeds...but overall it's not overly loud, just a mean sound that people wont mistake for a sissy car :)

Suspension/Chassis
TC KLINE coil overs 500/600 spring rates. SA Kit.. Recently corner balanced. Rides great.
Poly Rtab
Poly subframe bushings (yellow/street)
Turner Motorsports stud kit
New cross drilled rotors up front.. NOT CHEAP ;)

HPF Sub Frame Reinforcement professionally installed since new

Interior/Exterior

Everything about this car is class..only tasteful additions throughout. I love the look..very aggressive but nothing gaudy or out of place

Matte black fender gills
Stealth Auto matte black kidney grills
Smoked front reflectors
Smoked front corners
Clear side indicators

Brand new set of Ultimate Pedals
Brand new OEM floor mats

AEM Air to Fuel and Boost Gauge- Mickey Mouse setup on wheel...

Full carbon interior.. Top dollar, and very rare for this model
EAS Carbon Fiber 2x2 interior trim
EAS Carbon Fiber 2x2 Upper Steering wheel trim piece
EAS Carbon Fiber 2x2 Lower Steering wheel trim piece
Basically every single interior trim piece is carbon fiber. Arm rests, dash, center console.. etc etc..  Real carbon, not the crappy stuff :)

Stereo (sounds good, not too boomy:)

Alpine motorized DVD/CD player
Aluma Pro component speakers
Arc Audio 1000x2 amp
Arc Audio 1000x4 amp
Custom floor mount install with brushed aluminum...(This way trunk space is not sacrificed)

Never used in the couple years I've owned the car, but there for your enjoyment should you wish to get crazy (or take off and sell)... I'm assured it is a perfectly safe way to get extra power..but I've never really been interested in drag racing, etc...again, never used..

Dyno Tune Wet Nitrous System. Tuned by Active. 65 Shot..
Dyno Tune A/F switch
Dyno Tune Progressice Nitrous Controller (WOT, multiple stage, etc)
Dyno Tune 10lbs bottle
Dyno Tune Motorized Remote Bottle Opener
Dyno Tune Auto Heat Blanket
Dyno Tune Digital Nitrous Gauge
Dyno Tune purge system
Switches are installed in back of the cup holder, under arm rest...

Bad stuff
Lower left rear bumper has some scratches
Small ding behind driver door
was a daily driver, will have some minor rock chips etc
OVERALL, beautiful!! Compliments all the time, and blast to own/drive

Previous owner built this as a show car and spend 30k on top of sticker customizing this car...I've had it as my daily driver and been amazed at how reliable it has been, absolutely no issues and no more trouble than my previous non-supercharged ///m3

68,XXX on the clock.

Located in Jacksonville, North Florida..  Please message me with any questions! If you're in the area, I'll be happy to take you for a drive.

Driving the Honda Ridgeline and marveling at Tesla | Autoblog Podcast #638

Fri, Jul 31 2020

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They start off talking about why more people should buy the Honda Ridgeline, because it's a pretty darned good truck. Next, Byron talks about some Hyundais. He shares his experiences with the 2020 Sonata Hybrid and talks briefly about the prototype 2021 Elantra currently occupying his driveway. Up next, Jeremy shares his feelings about the BMW X1 crossover he spent some time with, prompting the gang to mull over the notion of BMW's modern interpretation of "Ultimate Driving Machine." After that, Byron talks about towing his 1990 Mazda Miata with the 2020 Infiniti QX80, and then they wrap up with some discussion of the mystery surrounding the Ford Maverick and some comments on the current state of Tesla. BMW working on DCT for its FWD cars?

Thu, Oct 29 2015

Having introduced its first front-wheel drive products, a report in BMW Blog says that BMW is developing a dual-clutch transmission to use in some of those vehicles. If that is the case then BMW would be catching up to its competitors, with Mercedes-Benz using its 7G-DCT in models like the CLA, and Audi putting its six-speed S-tronic in the A3 and seven-speed S tronic in the A6. Acura and Hyundai use dual-clutch gearboxes in their model lineup as well. Right now the only self-shifting option in the front-wheel-drive-based BMW X1 is an Aisin-sourced eight-speed automatic, the one we described as "perfectly fine but not a standout" that requires "some prodding to coax a downshift." The eight-speed sport transmission will be an option in late 2016, but its paddle shifters and quicker gearchanges still won't be equal to a DCT. That latter possibility would give BMW a sportier avenue of development if it did wish to create something truly athletic out of the X1 – BMW Blog muses on an X1 M40i or an X1 M (you should be past the point of shock if this happens). The Mini range could also benefit, the JCW trims currently fitted with a six-speed sport automatic being obvious candidates. Assuming Munich engineers are on the case, it is predicted that we won't see this transmission for at least two years.

What happens when you take an engineer sliding in a BMW i8

Fri, Sep 19 2014

The BMW i8 is a pretty impressive car, and a highly visible one at that. It's a great brand ambassador, but not just for BMW. It's really no surprise that Formula E chose it as the safety car from the electric racing series. And, for its duties at tracks around the word, the i8 safety car got some slick upgrades, including wireless charging capabilities courtesy of Qualcomm. It's not your regular, cut-and-dry technology presentation. In the video below, Qualcomm engineers explain a little bit about what they do to enhance electric vehicles. But it's not your regular, cut-and-dry technology presentation. The engineers are forced to answer questions about Qualcomm's technology while riding along in the BMW i8 Qualcomm Safety Car driven by none other than Formula E driver Nelson Piquet, Jr. Sure, riding shotgun for hot laps at Donnington Park in an i8 sounds like a lot of fun, but these guys have a job to do, and Mr. Piquet isn't making it easy for them. The Qualcomm guys talk about taking technology and beefing it up for automotive use, explain the benefits of wireless charging and discuss some other stuff that's hard to pay attention to while watching the i8 get totally sideways in a smoky powerslide. See for yourself in the video below. If you miss something, don't worry; Qualcomm provides more explanation about its automotive technologies at its website, including safety, communication and, of course, inductive charging.
