2004 BMW M3

I am selling my 2004 BMW E46 M3. Perhaps the best M3 to ever be built by BMW! The car is in flawless condition inside and out. I am the 2nd owner, I bought the car back in 2012 from a Doctor who lived in Hawaii and had the car with him there. He babied the car and drove it only on weekends. I also did the same which is why the mileage is extremely low!! The car has never been raced or tracked. Never been in an accident and it has a clean clear title. It has always been garage kept! Never had any problems with the M3, it drives smoothly and runs flawlessly! The reason I am being forced to sell the car is simply because my wife and I are expecting our first child and I just purchased an Audi A8 because we need the added room. I only drove the car in nice clear weather. Unfortunately I just don't have time to drive this car anymore, otherwise I would keep this M3 forever!

About my M3:

The car is Fully loaded including navigation, power leather seats, Xenon lights, and much more! The engine has never been touched and is completely stock as it should be for these cars. 3.2L Inline 6 with 333hp! It has the amazingly smooth SMG transmission with paddle shifting on the steering wheel. It shifts extremely fast and smooth in every gear. The exterior is near perfect condition with very minor rock chips that are unnoticeable and normal for a 2004. It is the rare carbon black color which changes to a blue in sunlight! I always wax the car and keep the paint in flawless condition. The interior leather and dash are also in perfect condition. No rips or tears on the leather. Overall the car is a 9 out 10 considering its age I have kept this car in immaculate condition.  I have always done all regular maintenance and oil changes. Title is in hand and ready for new owner!

Highlights and features:

  • Exterior is flawless with no scratches or dings, beautiful Carbon Black color.
  • Interior is perfect black napa leather with upgraded metallic silver trim.
  • Sequential manual gear SMG formula 1 transmission
  • Upgraded Harmon Kardon 10 speaker sound system with Navigation!!
  • Upgraded Xenon Headlights
  • Rear Parking Sensors
  • Power Everything!
Tasteful Additions: (over $9k in extras!!!)
  • Beautiful 19" HRE 945 deep dish polished aluminum rims with Falcon High performance tires with over 70% tread remaining. These rims are over $1,500 per rim!!! The set will cost you over $6k for the rims alone. Anyone who knows wheels will know that HRE wheels are the best of the best.
  • H&R Coilover/spring adjustable suspension. Amazing cornering with this suspension and the stance of the car is lower and more aggressive looking. These were $1700 alone!
  • Rogue Engineer Rasp Pipe. For those of you that know the E46 M3 you will know that the stock exhaust has an annoying Raspy sound. I purchased and installed the Rogue engineer Rasp pipe to get rid of that annoying sound and it now has a more aggressive growl. This pipe alone was over $500.
  • Carbon Fiber front lip and rear lip around exhaust. The cost is over $400.
  • Wind screen - I also will include the windscreen which is vital to have when driving with the top down. This costs over $500.
  • 20% tints on windows.
  • Angel Eye Halo rings on headlights.

Minor Flaws:
  • Rear View mirror leaked and now has a greenish hue to it. It is still fully functioning which is why I never bothered to change it. This is a common issue with the E46 BMW's.
  • The wheels can use a good hand polish to give them shine, I haven't had the time to do it myself.

For those of you who are local please feel free to contact me and come see the car. Absolutely NO joy rides! All shipping fees will be the buyers responsibility. You can contact me on here or call/text me at 973-789-5383. My name is Moe. Thanks!

Intel-Mobileye tech in 2M BMWs, VWs, Nissans will crowdsource maps for autonomy

Tue, Jan 9 2018

Intel Chief Executive Brian Krzanich said on Monday 2 million vehicles from BMW, Nissan and Volkswagen would use its unit Mobileye's technology to crowdsource data for building maps that enable autonomous driving. The world's largest chipmaker bought Israeli firm Mobileye last year to compete with peers such as Qualcomm and Nvidia Corp and tap the fast-growing market of driverless cars, filled with a complex tangle of alliances. (VW, for example, is also working with Nvidia.) Krzanich was the keynote speaker at the Consumer Electronics Show. He said data from Mobileye's Road Experience Management software would gather data to build and update scalable high-definition maps. He also announced that Intel would be working with Ferrari on AI drones to cover Ferrari Challenge North America Series racing. The drones would provide video of the races, but ultimately they would provide drivers with data — video that would let them see their racing performance from overhead, but also telemetry information about, say, how they enter and exit a turn. Intel will also tie up with SAIC Motor Corp, which will use Mobileye technology to develop Level 3, 4 and 5 autonomous cars in China, the chipmaker said. Krzanich also said Intel had not received any information of customer data being compromised so far after the company confirmed last week that security issues reported by researchers in its widely used microprocessors could allow hackers to steal sensitive information from computers, phones and other devices. Security researchers had disclosed two security flaws exposing vulnerability of nearly every modern computing device containing chips from Intel, Advanced Micro Devices and ARM Holdings. 2013 BMW R1200GS and HP4 duel at Circuito de Almeria

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

The 2013 BMW HP4 is the track-ready version of the manufacturer's already mighty S1000RR, which puts the bike at the very tip top of the two-wheeled BMW food chain. The R1200GS, meanwhile, is intended to be a somewhat more utilitarian machine. Capable of conveying both rider and gear over vast distances and uncertain terrain, the big-boy GS is the Swiss army knife to the HP4's rapier. Or at least that's what we've always been led to believe. BMW recently rolled out some footage during a press launch that showed the R1200GS is actually no slouch when it comes time to sling around a road course.
The company threw both bikes on Spain's Circuito de Almeria for a little sparring match, and miraculously, the HP4 didn't just up and walk away from the R1200GS. From from it. Instead, the two stay tightly matched through most of the course before something surprising happens. We won't spoil the ending for you. Is it possible the rider on the HP4 still had some in reserve? Sure, but from the sound and look of things, neither bike was giving an inch. Check out all the video action below for yourself.

Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic

Mon, Oct 24 2016

Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. You can check out Consumer Reports entire reliability roundup, even without a subscription, here.
