It has been meticulously maintained and has every available option including the rare paint color Topaz Blue. The 19 inch wheels are free of curb rash, and the paint is immaculate, free of swirl marks, scratches dents or dings! I have the car professionally polished, glazed, and sealed (no car washes!). The car has a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Brakes are strong, car shifts great. It has the SMG transmission which is a great combination of Manual/Auto driving experiences. The launch control system was never used. Car is always stored in a garage , The interior is also excellent the leather has no wear, the seat bolsters are free of excessive wear. The car has brushed aluminum trim, and extended paddle shifter and aluminum pedals. This car also has a Navigation System and the screens have been updated . This car has never been tracked, not even once, and has been driven carefully by an adult. It has been very reliable and the next owner will be very pleased to own this future classic. Next-gen Mini could sire 10 different models including PHEV
Sat, 12 Oct 2013The first generation of the reimagined, BMW-backed Mini was a simple things, confined to two body styles - hatchback and four-seat convertible. It wasn't until the second-generation platform came along that Mini began truly expanding, offering a long-wheelbase model, a roadster, a coupe, a five-door crossover, and a three-door, um, thing?
BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform.
According to an interview between Automotive News Europe and the BMW board member that oversees Mini, Peter Schwarzenbauer, the funky British brand will be expanding far beyond the seven body styles it currently offers. "With the new ULK architecture, we currently have in mind eight to 10 models," Schwarzenbauer told ANE. That architecture he mentions, will also underpin the BMW 1 Series GT and the BMW X1, meaning that BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform (and that's only what we know about).
Company car offers in decline, but not at The Cheesecake Factory [w/poll]
Sat, 22 Jun 2013As businesses look to keep high-level employees happy, it seems that use of company cars can still be an effective method, although fewer companies are employing it. According to Businessweek, only about 25 percent of companies offer company vehicles as a perk, while less than half give allowances for employees to use their personal vehicles for work purposes.
The report says that one business still in the practice of handing out company cars is The Cheesecake Factory, which offers the benefit to top managers. And we're not talking about some econobox, either. The article indicates the restaurant chain hands out BMWs on a three-year basis - although the company's own report says that the type of vehicle "varies with the executive's level."
Still, we mostly agree with the article's conclusion that money is the best way to keep employees or attract new ones, even if a corporate car is a big perk. What do you think? Let us know, in the poll below, whether a company car could sway you to work for a certain company (not just the Cheesecake factory, where the "Glamburgers" portion of the menu alone is enough to keep a guy hanging around).
